Silence fell after... what. Three hours? Maybe more. Sammy was starting to mess up the notes and her voice was getting more and more sore, that’s all she knew.

For the first seconds, they just enjoyed the silence, sitting one next to another, staring at nothing, fingers intertwined almost without noticing it. His voice took a moment to reach her, forcing the voice actress to blink a few times and finally let out a tiny yawn she probably kept in for way too long.

“...yes, I remember.” she forces out a joyful, yet gentle tone despite how much her throat hurt “You fell twice. In the first five minutes. I’m quite sure you hated most of that.

..why do you ask?”

Pft. Men. Always refusing to ask for directions even when it would save their life, just to come up with silly excuses when they finally accept the situation! At least, Henry was sweet enough to actually make her chuckle, despite the fact that she knew the two of them were going to be yelled at a lot once they finally got back at the Studio.

“Watch it, Henry. You were almost sounding like the little devil darling himself, there.” she replies - and just as Henry fakes an exaggerated offended tone, she instantly follows with an exaggerated angry one, even puffing her cheeks and making her voice a little higher to resemble her sweet little angel.

At least, until he starts laughing and she’s unable to continue that little act of hers, following him with a more-or-less contained chuckle... Until Henry changes the subject, that is.

Of course he had to ask that.

“Oh, you know. They’re... going.” there she goes, in a desperate addempt to seem vague about it. As if her feelings weren’t clear enough to everyone but Sammy.

"...why so? Where do you think should even be going?”

And with those simple words, Alice pulls the little lever once more, restarting the that torture of hers on the man strapped on the table in front of her, electrecuted for the umpteenth time.

“I wonder… where is your dear, great savior, Sammy?” the Angel chuckles under her breathe, delighted by that man’s pain.That’s just he gets. That’s what he deserves…!

There she is, giggling like a schoolgirl who just gave her little boyfriend a pack of candies. Seeing him acting like that, almost unable to talk properly... that isn’t a side of Sammy Lawrence many people have the luck to see.

His sweet, delightful side that he lets out only in little situations like this.

The moment he spoke about that book, she swore she would’ve found a way to bring him back, no matter how much that’d took both in a matter of time and effort - and boy that showed. By the time she arrived to the Studio that day, she was so damn late. She barely listened to those who hurried her to go to work, simply rushing towards the music department to give Sammy his well-deserved present, still huffing lightly after when she kicked the door open.

Almost literally.

“See? I told you.” she speaks with the nicest of tones, her own smile, from the big, excited one she had, getting a little softer “A good angel doesn’t tell lies, right?

...let it all out, Sammy.” Susie continues, taking a step closer to gently touch his cheek, catching a little tear that escaped his eyes “I promise I won’t tell.”
