I have no interest in white girl luxury blogs. I see them all the time and I can’t relate. Show me some black girls draped in jewels, sitting pretty on private jets drinking mimosas & shit. That’s much more inspiring.
Christy Turlington - Valentino, Miami (K), 1995 - Ph. Herb Ritts
Colin Kaepernick still isn't signed with the a football team. His original protest was to simply sit during the anthem. He changed his mind to kneel after speaking with a veteran. The veteran suggested he kneel instead of sit, as kneeling was still respecting the flag.
And now many other players are kneeling.
And Kaepernick is still the only one blackballed by the NFL.
Thierry Mugler and Jerry Hall, New York, May 1995 - Ph. Jean-Marie Périer
Lana del Rey for Interview Magazine (09/2020)
Et Dieu Crea La Femme, 1956.

Bloop.
Real talk, I hate the way netflix is using POC as love interests only for the main girl to go back to their pale main guy.
I feel like it reinforces a feeling of inadequacy that POC and immigrants feel on a daily basis, that they will never be good enough to get a happy ending with the girl/boy that they like.
We have John Ambrose who frankly was 10 million times better than Peter. Then I remember the jock latinx kid in the last season of 13rw and now Marco. I have to say that I hate it.
In an "effort"(because really look at the amount of diversity in this movie) to add more POC they missed how bad it is that these POC become a stepping stone for the main character to get back to where they started.
POC deserve to be more than a side note to the main character's evolution. They deserve to be happy and to get the girl/guy. And truly they deserve their own story.
