1994 - The Yule Ball 25th of December
Days passed after you and Theo shared that kiss and it was finally the day, the Yule Ball. The sky outside the tall windows had already darkened to a deep winter blue, and snow drifted lazily across the grounds, settling on turrets and towers like powdered sugar.
Inside the castle, the Hufflepuff common room was alive, filled with excitement and nervous energy filling the room. Mirrors were crowded with girls tilting their heads, adjusting straps, and asking the same question over and over again—Does this look all right?
You drifted down the staircase of the common room letting the fabric trail behind you, it was sent from the Noble House of Yaxley, or in other words sent from your parents. It was a gorgeous dress nonetheless, probably picked out by Mrs Malfoy, Draco’s mother, and Mrs. Yaxley, your mother, both had quite the shopping addiction.
Quiet murmurs followed, warm and kind, compliments flew around you. As you walked through, reaching for the door out, a hand brushed your shoulder. You turned, and there he was the one and only Cedric Diggory, smiling warmly at you.
A warm smile curved across your lips as you looked at him. “Hey, you look great!”, he says as he looked at your dress, then back at you, a hint of colour touching his cheeks. “Thank you! You look amazing yourself”, you responded and giggled a bit.
“So who’d you decide to go with?” “Oh—about that I’m going with uhm Theodore.” For a moment, he looked stunned. Then he steadied himself, his expression softening. “Right, of course you would.” “I’m truly sorry, Cedric. This doesn’t mean you don’t have a date, right?”, you looked at him with concern. You hoped he had asked someone since you didn’t really give him an answer for almost two weeks.
“It’s quite alright, I’m going with Cho.” You had a warm smile on your face, a bit in relief as it wasn’t going to be as awkward as you thought. “That’s wonderful! She’s a real beauty and brains, I hear.”, you joke around to lighten the mood and he gives a soft chuckle. “Yeah, it’s nice— she’s nice!”
“Well I better go, Theo’s waiting for me.” you give a quick wave and goodbye, he had a bit of a disappointed look but quickly gave you a quick nod and wave with a thin smile as you turned your back and walked out the door.

The Great Hall
The Great Hall shimmered with ice and candlelight, enchanted icicles glittering overhead as soft music filled the air. Laughter mixed with nerves, dresses swayed, and awkward smiles were shared beneath the stars of the enchanted ceiling.
Together, you entered the Great Hall, Theodore’s arm close to yours as the room shimmered around you. Music filled your ears from the orchestra, it felt like the rest of the world fell away. Theo kept his eys on you, a smile warm plastered on his face, and in that moment, the Yule Ball became less about the crowd and more about the two of you.
“Is there something on my face? Why are you staring?”, you asked, a bit embarrassed.“You’re absolutely beautiful, anima mia.” That caught you off-guard for a bit before a soft giggle comes out of your lips,”Such a charmer you are.” “Only for you.” You felt the heat rising to your cheeks turning a soft pink.
Your steps were careful at first, but Theo guided you easily, adjusting to your pace without a word. The soft sweep of your dress brushed against his robes with each turn, and the warmth of his hand was a quiet reassurance. He glanced down at you now and then, calm and attentive, making sure you were comfortable. Surrounded by music, laughter, and candlelight, dancing with Theodore felt natural, like it was always meant to be just the two of you together like this… and maybe it really was meant to be this way.
The music from the orchestra faded, and for a brief moment, the Great Hall held its breath. Then a sharp, pulsing beat cut through the air. Cheers erupted as the Weird Sisters took the stage, guitars slung low, drums pounding like a second heartbeat. The atmosphere shifted instantly and you quickly adapted to the beat. Laughter spilling through out the night, jumping, spinning, and singing along to the beat. Theo stayed close, one hand occasionally finding yours as you danced together, surrounded by familiar faces and shared excitement.

After the Yule Ball, the castle slowly dies down. You walked with Theo and your friends through the halls. The group moved together, laughing and talking as the night wound down.
With the warmth spread through your veins, you got a bit tired. “You alright there princess?”, Enzo asked. You nodded. “Just a bit sleepy ‘is all,” you murmured. Theo glared at Enzo, clearly unimpressed by the pet name.
“Better watch it, Enzo”, Mattheo said with a grin, clearly teasing both him and Theo, the others gave a laugh. Theo wrapped an arm around you, pulling you a little closer. “We all know Nott here doesn’t like sharing anything.” Pansy remarked as she looks down on the arm around you. Theo scoffs and keeps his hand where it is and continues to walk with them, following the same pace, not affected by their words because he knows they’re right. As much as he knows Y/n is close with their friends but he just has this possessive nature, he can’t control. The others silently agree and let the conversation flow from one topic to a completely different one.
As the night grows darker, the clock struck midnight. “We should get back to our common rooms,” Astoria said, glancing around the group. With quiet agreement, they made their way down the stairs.
When you reached the basement, you said your goodbyes. You and Theo split from the group, heading toward the kitchens.
Both of you reached the enterance of the Hufflepuff Common Room. “Thank you for walking me to the common room, Theo,’ you said, glancing up at him, a smile spread across your face. Theo drew you closer, his voice gentle. “Of course, tesoro. Anything for you.”
You felt yourself blush at his words. Without hesitation, he leaned in and kissed you, slow and tender. Pulling back just enough, you saw his eyes and the way it looked so soft and gentle.
“Something the matter?”, he chuckles softly, feeling your stare. “I love you Teddy”, were the words that come out of your mouth oh so suddenly.
Theo froze for a heartbeat, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. Then, almost as if finding his courage, he smiled softly and whispered, “I love you too. I think…” he paused for a moment and your breath hitched for a second as you hear his words, feeling like the world was spinning. “I think I’d love you forever, you’re everything to me, my one and only amore.”
The world stopped spinning as he finishes the sentence. You stepped back, and his hands slipped from your waist. Almost immediately, as if by reflex, Theo reached out, trying to catch you, in a desperate attempt to hold on. “Bloody hell Theodore!! I thought for a second there that you were having second thoughts!”, you shrieked as you hit him playfully, now full of laughter. “Never do that again, you prat!”
Theo laughed softly, the sound warm and teasing, and reached for your waist again. “I’m sorry,” he said, eyes sparkling as he tried to steady you. “,didn’t mean to mess with you. I do love you.” “Really?” you hummed. “Very much so.” he replied with no hesitation, as it was a clear fact and didn’t need any thought to it.
“Well I really appreciate it, Mr.Nott.”, you say as you giggled and wrapped your hands around his neck. Rising onto your tiptoes, you closed the distance again, pressing your lips to his. He immediately melted into the kiss, his warmth pressing against you, hands resting at your waist as if you were the only person in the world.
He pulls back for a bit, resting his forehead on yours, meeting your eyes with his,“I just realized we have never made it official yet.”, he lets out a small chuckle. “I guess we haven’t, what are you going to do ‘bout that Teddy?” you quickly remarked teasingly.
“Well let it be official,hm? You want that pretty girl?” He lifted your chin so he can get a better view of your face. You quickly responded by giving him another kiss, one that was deep and passionate.
“Stop snogging, will ‘ya?” A voice cut through the air. You both pulled back instinctively, heart still racing, you blinked, cheeks warm, while Theo’s expression shifted from lingering softness to alert curiosity.
Draco, Draco Malfoy
Theo groaned, rolling his eyes with exaggerated exasperation. “What is it, Deaco?” he asked, his voice half-annoyed, half-amused, clearly not in the mood for interruptions.
“Lighten up, Nott. I’m here for the princess.” He said with a teasing grin. “My princess.” Theo mutters under his breath as he wraps an arm around your shoulders.
“Be grateful I’m giving you my blessings to be with my little sister!”he spat out, arms crossed and eyes narrowed. “She’s not even your little sister!?” he huffs out but then feel you slipping away from his touch.
“We basically are! How dare you say otherwise!”, you shifted to Draco’s side and cross your arms, having a playful pout on your lips. He knew you were both teasing but also telling the truth, you both grew up together, always on each other’s sides. Theo sighs and raises his hands, a sign of giving up playfully. “Yeah yeah get it over with.”
Both you and Draco stuck your tongue out at him,” Another victorious win from the Malfoys and Yaxleys!”, you announced and both giggled as Theo huffs “I can see the resemblance now.” You both ignore him.
“Anyways what’s up, Malfoy?”, you ask him in a curious tone. “Our parents want you home this year, mum says it’s important.”, he says, knew you enjoyed it more being in Hogwarts than at home.
You frowned, it was Christmas and you wanted to spend it here, at Hogwarts. Especially now you were officially together with Theodore. You also knew Theodore rarely goes back home during breaks, you look at him before looking back at Draco,”Do I really have to?”, you whined, puppy eyed, making your way to hug Theo, a sign you didn’t want to leave him.
“Not my orders. We leave tomorrow morning princess, get your bags packed and have enough sleep, goodnight.”, he sighs and turns back, making his way back to the dungeons.
Your frown deepened, eyes looking up at Theo now. He pulled you gently into his arms, holding you close. His touch was steady and comforting, and with a soft smile, “You really don’t wanna go huh?”
“I wanna stay with youuu!”, you whined, going deeper onto the hug. You rested your head against his shoulder, letting it tilt slightly so it brushed against his neck. The warmth of him seeped through, steady and comforting. “Want it to be like this forever.” He mumbles. You nod gently, he still felt it since you were so close.
“Alright now, dolcezza. Have a good night rest, okay?” He says, eyes fixed on your face, completely mesmerized. You nod gently and he kisses your forehead,”Goodnight Theo.” “Goodnight amore.”
You turn your back around him as you tap on the barrels in a nook. Theo’s gaze never leaves until the entrance closes. He makes his way to the dungeons, back to the Slytherin Common Room.

1995 - Back at Hogwarts
It was now January 1995, you spent almost two weeks back with your family. It was super boring being there, a big mansion with no one to talk to, just elves working around the place since you did not have any siblings. You spent most of the days with your mother, Narcissa and Draco. You also kept writing letters to Theo and he of course responded to every single one, giving you details of what he was doing everyday at Hogwarts.
The cool air breezed through, brushing against your skin as you stepped out of the carriages. You felt free and alive, finally back where you belong. You belonged to be at Hogwarts, in his arms, oh how you couldn’t wait to be in his embrace.
Draco stepped right out after you did. “Back in this rubbish establishment.”, he sighed. “Oh stop complaining ‘ya big baby.” he scoffed and looks you up and down. “‘Am not a big baby, I’m just tellin’ the truth! You’re just happy to finally see your little knight in shining armor, princess!”
“Well you aren’t wrong.”, you unconsciously smile and Draco rolls his eyes as you both walk towards the dungeons. The conversation switches to another topic before you guys finally reached the Slytherin Common Room entrance.
“Pure-blood.” Draco spoke the password in a firm tone and the heavy, carved stone door swings open. You both head inside the room, passing through the mermaid statues out front and making your way down the staircase.
The Slytherin Common Room was made with walls of cold stone and greenish torches, the room felt slightly chilly but in a comforting way. Filled with big, tall, arched windows that showed murky depths of the Black Lake, it was also filled with statues and tapestries of the Slytherin heroes. The room was sleek and elegant, marbling all over.
You immediately spotted your friends on the biggest and comfiest sofas in the room, the flames from the fireplace burning low and slow. There was an unspoken rule for the Slytherins that the more famous pure-blood families had the spot reserved, it’s been that way for generations and you of course had no complaints whatsoever since you had the privilege of being there even if you weren’t a Slytherin you said in your head. (You felt kinda bad but it didn’t hurt anyone so you learned to ignore that feeling)
Once Theo’s eyes met yours, he stood up straight away. Without thinking, you ran into Theo’s arms, letting yourself melt against him. His arms wrapped around you automatically, steady and warm.
“Get a room,” Enzo called from across the common room, smirking.
Theo groaned, rolling his eyes, but the corner of his mouth betrayed a small, amused grin. You couldn’t help but laugh, your cheeks still warm from being in his arms. “Not my fault you’re jealous, Enzo,” you said, teasing, and Theo laughed, resting his chin gently on your head.
Enzo made an exaggerated barfing gesture, rolling his eyes dramatically. “Ugh, you two are disgusting,” Mattheo chimed in. You stuck your tongue out at the both of them, “Well you two should settle for one girl and stop snogging one girl to another.”, Blaise says with a cool expression, sitting beside Pansy as she nods.
“I agree, you both are insufferable.” Astoria mentions, her face filled with annoyance as she makes her way to Draco and gives him a kiss on the cheek.
Meanwhile, you and Theo take a seat on the large sofa. Theo sat between you and Mattheo who had disbelief all over his face as the group all turned against him and Enzo. “This isn’t fair, you guys are ganging up on us!” he exclaims.
“We really aren’t.” you say calmly. “Just the facts” Pansy adds. “They’re not wrong, you both are absolutely mental.”, Draco says as he sits down.
You all laughed as Enzo and Mattheo tried—and failed—to defend themselves, waving their hands and protesting dramatically. The teasing quickly faded into easy chatter, and soon the conversation flowed naturally.

??? 1995 - Goodnight
The night fell softly around the castle. The world outside grew quiet, and the only sounds were the soft crackle of the fire. It would be a scandal if any prefect or worse teachers found you here.
In Theo’s dorm, you rested in his arms, the world outside forgotten, fingers tangled in his hair as he held you close.
You nestled in his arms, your fingers threading gently through his hair as you traced soothing patterns. The warmth pressed against you, steady and reassuring, and you could feel the quiet rhythm of his heartbeat.
There were times like this, when you two just spent the night together in his dorm, not every night, just most nights when he couldn’t sleep. You didn’t mind, obviously you didn’t! He was your sweet boyfriend, maybe future husband who knowssss.
What you did know was you by all means love him with your whole heart. He definitely did too, he would be constantly around you. Everyday, any day, always. He saves you a seat in classes you have together, in the library, in the common room, pretty much everywhere you both went. He hates when you’re far away.
He’s not very good with words but Merlin’s beard he loves touching you so much. Whether it be a hand on your waist, thighs, hips, shoulders, his hand is always around you. Holding you close enough to make sure you can’t get away, you weren’t planning to, but he was just taking precautions and if you did he could grab you right away. You couldn’t even ever be sick of him.
He was really warm and comfortable around you but you still felt a bit breezy since you were just wearing a tank top. When you tried to move, but his arms tightened around you. “What are you doing, dolcezza?” he lifts his head up from the pillow and raises his eyebrows in confusion, voice laced with sleepiness and laziness.
“Was j’st cold, baby.” you responded. He gave a small pout and took a hoodie on his beside table, a little crumpled, a sign it had been used but not too much to the point you feel like it should be ironed. You pulled the hoodie over your head and slipped into it. It was a dark blue plain hoodie, was way too big on you and smelled just like him, a super basic men’s cologne, fire whiskey and a faint smell of cigarettes.
He rose up from the bed and leaned over you. His hand cups your cheek as he presses a soft kiss to your lips. “You should wear this more often, vita. Suits you more than it suits me.” he snickers after he pulls back from the kiss , his face split into a grin. “Oh shut—“ he cuts you off with another kiss, pinning you down onto the bed and into a cuddle.
You both laugh as you draw back from the kiss. Back into the comforting presence of his strong arms. You felt tired and yawned. “Sleepy already?” he asks, eyes on you, as it is all the times.
Theo has a staring problem. Is what you thought when you first met him. His eyes are constantly around you since the first time you got here next to Draco, the time you got sorted into Hufflepuff and he still kept his eyes on you when you first talked to a 3rd year on your first day, Cedric, being the gentleman he was, as years pass he still had eyes on you everywhere. Nevertheless, you did have feelings for the boy and now here you are.
Nodding your head, you felt his hands brush through your hair, an attempt to soothe you ‘til you fall asleep in his arms. “Love you.” he whispers in your ear, not wanting to bother your process into sleeping (is that even a thing?y’all get it right?😭). “Love you Teddy.” were the words that left your mouth before drifting to sleep.

24 February 1995 - The Lake
As the sun rises, the birds fill the air with their songs. The sound muffled absorbed by the Lake and the stone walls. An unusual feeling washed over him but he shrugged it off as he got ready for the second challenge of the Triwizard Tournament.
At breakfast, he scans the entire room for you but he couldn’t find you. Odd. He thought. “Have you seen, Y/n?” was all he asked throughout the entire time. All of their friends responded with no and after about 30 minutes, he stood up and approached some of your friends, they all said they haven’t seen you since last night.
Theodore got worried, like super worried, he had one last person to ask. Cedric Diggory. The one who had asked you to the Yule Ball, the one who’s fancied you for years on end now and he knows it.
“Diggory.” he calls out in a firm tone. Cedric looks up and smiles to be polite, “Something the matter, Nott?”
Theo clenches his jaw but lets out a quick, “Have you seen Y/n today? You’re a prefect aren’t ’cha?” he says almost sarcastically but fixes his tone. He needs to find you, that’s all that matters right now.
“What? No? Is she okay?” he paused, “Did you guys have a fight?” he was kind of hopeful on the last one but more stuffed with concern and panic.
“I’m sure she’s fine, she can take care of herself.” he grits his teeth. Calm down. He thinks to himself. “No, we didn’t fight. I just haven’t seen her today.” is all he lets out before walking away, not wanting to talk to him any longer.
𓆙𓂃✍︎
After breakfast ends, the group went down to the Black Lake to see the Triwizard Tournament. Theo following along in the back since they reassured him that you were fine and probably already down by the Great Lake. The walk down was dreadful, he couldn’t stop thinking, worrying about you.
When they reached the three towers, his eyes searched everywhere for you and he still couldn’t see you nor hear you. He had a really really bad feeling and he wanted to crush everything near and find you as quickly as possible. He couldn’t and wouldn’t focus on the tournament, his focus was solely on finding you, where you could’ve been. God forbids anything happens to you.
Time went by very slow or very fast, he couldn’t understand, lost in thought before people started shouting in accomplishment or in disappointment. Then he saw it, he saw you emerge from the waters, held by Cedric Diggory, helping you get to one of the three towers.
He was furious, all of his friends instantly turn their heads towards Theo and instantly halting him from hexing Cedric. “He saved her!” “He didn’t know.” “Stop Theo!” spread through their friends mouths. Theo only stopped once your face was searching his and when you finally found him, you gave him a thumbs up and mouthed, “I’m okay.” He sighed in relief and kept looking at you, checking to see if you were safe or not.
“The winner is Mr. Diggory!” Dumbledore exclaims using magic for his voice to be spread around the three towers. Cedric was patted in the back and cheered for as you stood beside him, towel wrapped around you and photos get taken by some people of you and Cedric side by side.
Theo and the others were already on the small boats, heading back to Hogwarts when they heard Harry Potter got second place. You arrive about 6 minutes after they do and Theo instantly helps you off the boat, wrapping you in a tight but warm hug. “Theo! I’m soaked, you’re going to get your clothes all wet too.” you shrieked in surprise.
He pulls away, both hands on each of your shoulders. “That is none of my worries right now! Don’t you understand. Never do that again! Cazzo I was so worried.” he pulls you back into the hug.
You laugh and hug him back, “How was I supposed to know? Isn’t really a free will thing, Teddy. I’m sorry you got so stressed because of me.”
“Bloody hell Y/n! You got that man searching everywhere for you.” Mattheo smirks.
Your friends all agree. “Mental, he was.” Blaise comments. Theo didn’t stop hugging you. “You can let me go now.”, you cackled. “No.” “Theo.” “Fine.” He finally lets you get out of his hug but still wraps an arm around you. He takes his coat off and pushes his coat onto you.
You giggle and give him a sweet smile, “I’m okay Theo, I’m here now.” comforting him, he loosens up by your words. You all make your way toward the castle, the morning light spilling over its towers.
Do you remember when I said Theo was always with you? Today he was ALWAYS with you, he couldn’t bear not being beside you. If anyone even steps too close, he already has arms around you, wands at ready to hex whoever that was whether it was a student nor a teacher.
He stays by your side from morning until nightfall, he even waited for you outside the girls loo. “I should get back to my dorm.”, you kissed his cheek. Before you could even take a step, he’s already grabbing your wrists and spinning you around. “No.” “Theo.” “Not going anywhere.” “Seriously?” “I said no…..please.”, he says in a concerned soft voice, pleading puppy eyes. The man towering over you looked cute in this state, a weird thing to visualize but you didn’t care.
In his bed, this felt different than usual, he was more protective and possessive. “Not goin’ anywhere.” “I know” “Then why are you holding onto me so tightly!”, you squeal and try to squirm out of his grasp.
“Scared.” and you softened up with one word. He was scared. Scared to lose you, scared you’d be gone, scared anything will happen to you. “Don’t worry, Teddy. Right here.” you kiss him, soft and delicate. He kissed back right away the same way. You both pulled back and he places his head on your shoulder, his breath hot on your neck, tries to slumber with you close.
You like to remember all the times you’ve spent with Theodore. From the moment you introduced yourself to Draco’s friends at your first year in Hogwarts, he was there staring right at you and chirp out a small “Theodore Nott.” as all the others have introduced themselves.
The way he’d follow the group, his presence was comforting to you but terrifying to others. He wasn’t a man with much words but the when he does and the way he walks screams trouble. Theo was exceptionally great at hexing people and a big fan of smoking and weed. The group discovered their love for that in the first semester of third year. Although, he is taking a break or trying to smoke less for you. You were just making small talk, saying it wasn’t great for his health and still had a long way ahead of y’all’s life.
The two of you had doubts in your relationships and that was normal, but you knew that the love you shared was going to help you get through everything in the past, present and future.

Pure-bloods. People who have magical ancestors, some families never marrying someone who isn’t born from a family of magic. Pureblood status is often used as a marker of social superiority by certain wizarding families, including yours.
Ever since you could remember your father would always tell you to stay away from muggles, you had different sosial status’. Your family was also a sacred twenty-eight, a list of wizarding families that was made to identify and preserve the remaining pure-blood wizarding families in Britain. Of course your family took pride in being part of this exclusive group. Even if it doesn’t mean much to others, it means a lot to them.
The Yaxleys are known to be staunch supporters of Voldemort and his ideology of blood purity. Your father also took part in them, working inside the ministry of magic giving information for Lord Voldemort. Your family being in the profound list made you all have strong ties with pureblood families, it was without doubt you would have a great amount of generational wealth.
Talking about strong ties with other pureblood families especially in the sacred twenty-eight, your family was particularly close with one family called “Malfoys”. Corban Yaxley, your father, and Lucius Malfoy were great acquaintances as they were both followers of the dark Lord, had the same ideal of purebloods and work for the ministry of magic. As a young child when your parents were busy or away on business trips, you would always be dropped at the ‘Malfoy Manor’. The Malfoys didn’t mind, Narcissa never had a daughter so you were always like the daughter she never had and Draco was like an older brother to you, even if you guys were the same age.
You grew and became tight with him. Although being close to the Malfoys in particular, the Yaxleys of course had other connections with the other high-status families. Those relations made it pretty easy for them to slide into elevated status’.

1994 - New Year at Hogwarts
You were now in your 4th year at Hogwarts and it seems there were two guest schools. You make your way to the Great Hall. The huge, magical room with long tables for each of the four Hogwarts houses and a raised table for the teachers at the front. Above the students, the enchanted ceiling reflects the sky outside depending on the real weather. The floating candles and food filled tables — laughter and chatter can be heard from all throughout the hall.
Professor Dumbledore was giving a speech but you were spacing out. You snapped out of it as the Great Halls door opens and Beauxbatons students came in with poise and grace. Some guys couldn’t take their eyes off them. They marched with beauty led by Madame Maxime, the towering and elegant headmistress of Beauxbatons, stepped out — draped in silvery silk and sparkling jewels. The students of Hogwarts watched in awe, whispering in excitement — the first guests of the Triwizard Tournament had arrived.
Everyone turned to look as the Durmstrang students marched in, led by Professor Karkaroff and Viktor Krum. They wore heavy fur cloaks, their boots echoing on the stone floor, and they carried themselves with fierce pride.Unlike the graceful Beauxbatons entrance, the Durmstrang students made a strong, powerful impression. Sparks burst from the ends of their staffs, and the air seemed to crackle with energy. They moved in perfect formation, heads held high, before taking their seats at the long table prepared for them. Whispers rippled through the hall — everyone recognized Viktor Krum, the famous Quidditch player — and the Hogwarts students stared in excitement.
Quite the performance from both schools you thought, your eyes leading you to the Slytherin table, taking a look at your friends then your eyes met with Theodore Nott. His eyes always looked so cold but damn was it tempting — he didn’t stop staring, he never did, he was always just piercing and looking into your soul. As per usual, you were the one who looked away first feeling a bit flustered and cheeks being faintly pink.
“Are you blushing?” a familiar voice teased, snapping you out of your thoughts. You turned sharply, eyes meeting with Cedric Diggory and his warm smile plastered on his face.
“What? Me? No,” you laugh, pretending not to notice his grin. “Whatever, why you wondering hm?” you say, trying to sound braver than you feel while crossing your arms.
“You’re awfully defensive,” he chuckles. “I just wanted to know, that’s all. Let’s feast, shall we?” he says, leaning back a little.
You nodded and began to eat while listening attentively to the announcements Dumbledore delivered to the students. Professor Dumbledore spoke about the upcoming Yule Ball and the Triwizard Tournament.
𓆙𓂃✍︎
The sky was a heavy curtain of gray, rumbling with thunder. Hard drops of rain hammered against the castle walls. As the Triwizard Tournament approached, it was time for the students aged seventeen and above to submit their names into the Goblet of Fire.
You walked into the Great Hall with your friends laughinga and chattering with you, brushing a few raindrops from your robe. You and your friends couldn’t help but wonder who had plan to put their names into the Goblet of Fire. Spotting Cedric Diggory across the room, you felt a grin tug at your lips. He looked up at just the right moment, catching your eye, and gave you a cheeky yet kind smile.
Cedric walked over to you, stepping away from his friends with that easy smile of his. The noise of the Great Hall faded around you as he leaned in a little and said quietly, “Do you think I should put my name in?”
“Why would you ask me?” you teased, a grin still plastered on your face. “It’s your choice, or are you just looking for my approval Ced?” you raised your eyebrows jokingly.
He laughed, shaking his head in a way that he’s jokingly tired of your teasing. “Maybe I am,” he said with a smirk. “Just wanted to see what you’d say before I throw my name in.”
Before you could reply, you felt a light tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you saw Draco Malfoy standing there, “Oi, there you are! I’ve been searching for you everywhere.” He grab your wrist before you could even spoke out a word and dragged you over to be with him and the others. You looked back at Cedric and gave a small nod, a silent way of saying go for it. He nodded back acknowledging your choice and went back to his crowd. The crowd pushes Cedric in the circle and for a brief moment freezes before he drops the parchment filled with his name in the Goblet of Fire.
You tried to stay focused on your other friends, laughing at something one of them said, but you could feel Theo’s gaze fixed on you. You were used to it by now. You just sighed quietly and shook it off, turning back to your friends as if nothing had happened.
After a while, Professor Dumbledore announces that the champions have been chosen as he stood near the front. The blue fire suddenly turned red, shooting out a burst of golden sparks before spitting a burned piece of parchment into the air. Dumbledore caught it smoothly and read the name aloud, his voice echoing through the hall.
“The champion for Durmstrang,” he announced, “will be… Viktor Krum!”
The Durmstrang students erupted in cheers as Krum stood and walked to the front with confident and unreadable, so cold yet intoxicating. He looked serious, looked like he measured every step he took and looked like he could crush you with his bare hands.
Moments later, the fire flared again. Another name flew out.
“The champion for Beauxbatons,” Dumbledore called, “is… Fleur Delacour!”
The Beauxbatons table burst into applause, their blue silk uniforms shimmering in the candlelight as Fleur rose gracefully. She was the embodiment of beauty, she was effortless and perfect.
Finally, the flames turned red once more. The third piece of parchment shot out, and Dumbledore read the name everyone had been waiting for.
“The champion for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is… Cedric Diggory!”
The Hufflepuff table exploded with cheers and applause as Cedric stood, smiling modestly, and made his way to the front.
The room buzzed with excitement — until, unexpectedly, the Goblet flared one more time. The fire turned red again, crackling louder than before. A fourth piece of parchment shot out. Dumbledore caught it, surprise flickering across his face.
“Harry Potter.”
A stunned silence filled the hall. All eyes turned to Harry as the impossible sank in.

The Slytherin Common Room
The Slytherin common room lay deep beneath the castle, its entrance concealed behind a cold, greenish stone wall. Even though you were a Hufflepuff, your friends often dragged you down to the Slytherin common room. The room was classy and felt expensive, it had vaulted ceilings, beautiful marble, tapestries and statues reminding everyone of the Slytherin heroes.
It always had that cold but somewhat comfortable feeling, dripping in elegance and success. You all make your way to sit in the biggest and comfiest sofas in the common room, it was an unspoken rule that the famous purebloods reserved those seats.
In the dim green tinted Slytherin common room, Draco leaned casually against the wall, smirking as he spoke to his friends and you of course. “Honestly,” he said, rolling his eyes, “Potter thinks he can just cheat his way into the Goblet of Fire and get away with it. Pathetic.” His friends chuckled, nodding along, clearly enjoying every bite of his gossip.
As the conversation dies down, an idea pops up from Mattheo as he whispers to Enzo. Their faces light up with mischief and cheeky grins. Enzo and Mattheo slid in beside you, grinning. You furrowed your brows in confusion, knowing they have something to say. “So…” Enzo began, nudging you lightly, “what’s going on with you and Cedric?” Mattheo chuckled, leaning closer. “Yeah, spill it we saw you laughing and being all cutsey with him.”
You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms, shaking your head firmly. “Nothing’s going on. I’ve known him since the first year of school, he helped me lots you know.”
Enzo and Mattheo exchanged skeptical glances, clearly not buying it. “Uh-huh, sure,” Enzo said, raising an eyebrow. “If you say so…” Mattheo nudged you lightly, smirking. “Yeah, right. We’re supposed to believe you don’t like Diggory?”
You were about to deny it again when Pansy leaned over with a sly grin. “It’s okay if you do,” she said lightly, nudging you. But before you could respond, a voice muttered from the side, casual but sharp. “Diggory… overhyped if you ask me.”
Enzo and Mattheo’s eyes snapped toward him, and they couldn’t resist grinning. “Oh, look who’s suddenly interested,” Enzo teased, elbowing Mattheo. “Careful, you’re not supposed to get jealous, are you?” Mattheo chuckled, leaning closer.
Blaise and Draco had been lounging, half-listening to the chatter around them. But now, their eyes sharpened, intrigued Blaise smirked, nudging Theo. “Since when do you care?” Draco leaned in, grinning. “Yeah, you usually ignore all this.” Theo just scowled, clearly not used to the attention.
You cleared your throat, forcing a smile. “Anyway, we should go to Hogsmaede tomorrow! You know get some accessories and such for the big grand Yule Ball”, you jump into the conversation with some hope to steer the conversation away from Theo. “I heard most of the Ravenclaws have already prepared their outfits by now.”
The guys all groan and sigh as Pansy’s eyes light up with joy and excitement. “Those Ravenclaws are far too prepared in a bad way, I’m tellin’ you right now.” Draco sneered as the others quietly agreed.
At the same moment, Theo was letting out a quiet sigh of relief as attention shifted, their teasing forgotten for the moment. He leaned back slightly, grateful the conversation had moved on, even if only temporarily.
Pansy leaned forward, eyes sparkling with curiosity. “So… who are you guys bringing?” she asked, her voice teasing as she glanced between everyone.
Enzo leaned back, a proud grin on his face. “I’m asking a Beauxbatons girl,” he announced, clearly pleased with himself. Mattheo smirked. “I found a Slytherin I’m bringing along. Figured I’d keep it in the house.” Blaise nudged Pansy playfully. “Well, I’m taking you, of course,” he said with a wink. Draco shot a confident glance at Astoria. “And I’ve got her,” he added smoothly, as she rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless.
Theo and you stayed silent, letting the teasing energy of the room swirl around you. But it didn’t last long. Enzo nudged Mattheo and then turned towards you, smirking. “Alright, enough hiding, who you taking to the Yule Ball?”
“Well… we’ve only known today, and no one’s asked me yet. Honestly, I haven’t planned on taking anyone,” you added, trying to sound casual while dodging their teasing eyes.
Enzo and Mattheo exchanged a sly glance before turning toward Theo, smirking. “Well, what about you?” Enzo asked. “Who are you taking to the Yule Ball?” Mattheo leaned back, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah, come on — don’t leave us hanging.”
Theo shrugged, a faint smirk on his face. “I haven’t decided yet. Still figuring it out.”
“Boring,” Enzo muttered with a smirk, and Mattheo chuckled in agreement. They turned back to you, eyes sparkling with mischief. “So, back to you? What if Cedric actually asks you?”
You shrugged, keeping your expression neutral. “I don’t know…”, you dart your eyes to take a quick glimpse at Theo’s reaction but he just stares at you like he always does,”Stop it with all the Cedric this Cedric that.” you spat out.
Everyone burst out laughing, the sound bouncing off the walls. Theo pushed his chair back with a sharp scrape and stood, eyes glinting as he scanned the group. His jaw was set, and though he said nothing at first, the tension in the air made it clear he wasn’t amused.
“I’m going to take a hit,” he said casually, reaching for it. Enzo raised an eyebrow, smirking. “You do know there are none left right?” Mattheo chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, nothing left for you, buddy.”
He cursed under his breath in Italian, clearly annoyed, and stormed out of the room. The door slammed behind him, leaving a bit of a tense atmosphere before Draco leaned back in his chair, a sly smirk on his face. “Well… he’s in one hell of a mood,” he said, glancing toward the door where Theo had just left.
You stood up,”I need some fresh air,” you announced, forcing a casual tone. Your friends exchanged knowing smirks, they knew exactly what you were really up to. No one questioned it, but in reality, you were making your way toward Theo.

You finally made it to the Astronomy Tower, your legs felt numb walking through all those steps. You were panting and finally saw Theo.
“Theo,” you called softly, your voice carrying just enough to reach him over the quiet wind.
He blinked, clearly caught off guard. “Hm? What do you want?” he says remaining his nonchalant demeanor as he took a drag of his cigarette.
You took a small step closer, lowering your voice. “Theo… you really shouldn’t be doing this so much. It isn’t healthy, you know?” Your tone carried worry, and you couldn’t hide the concern in your eyes.
Theo didn’t respond, but his expression softened. The tension in his eyes eased slightly, and for a moment, he just looked at you, quiet and still, as if taking in your concern. He just hummed in response.
You sighed, a twinge of disappointment in your chest, and handed him the weed. “Here… I guess you’ll need this,” you said, your voice tight with frustration and concern, though you tried to keep it calm as.
He held the weed awkwardly, eyes flicking away for a moment before meeting yours. “Uh…how did you get this?” he asked quietly, his voice carrying a hint of guilt.
You raised an eyebrow at him, offering a small smile. “I’m a Hufflepuff, remember? The earth is our element, I know a thing or two about how to make those. Why do you think Hufflepuffs are always late?” You joke around to lighten the mood around the intense atmosphere and giggle a bit.
He looked at you with a soft, almost shy smile, guilt and warmth mixing in his eyes. “Yeah… I remember you telling me not to do this too much.” Slowly, he held out the weed to you, letting his fingers linger near yours just a moment longer than necessary. “Here… maybe you should keep it,” he murmured
You blinked, momentarily confused, staring at the weed in his hand. “Wait… what?” you asked, unsure if he was serious or joking.
He looked at you with a soft, guilty smile. “I’m serious… I’ll try to stop,” he said quietly, his voice low and sincere. He placed his hands on the railing, gazing at the stars, and you couldn’t help but notice how fine he looked, as if the night itself highlighted every sharp line of his face.
You snapped out of your admiration and grinned, nudging him lightly. “What’s gotten into you? Are you changing for someone?”
He let out a soft laugh, shaking his head. “Maybe…Maybe I really fucking am.”he chuckled and smiled a genuine sweet smile. You faltered, your stomach twisting as your heart sank, the teasing lightness between you vanishing in an instant. He noticed,”You okay, Bella?”
You shook off the sudden sting, forcing a playful smile, a bit shocked by the nickname but you nod. Stay calm, he flirts with lots of girls, no way he genuinely means that you convince yourself . “So… who’s the lucky girl? Are you planning on taking her to the Ball?” your eyes met his, his eyes were shining — the dark blue colour and the night sky made them look wayyy too gorgeous.
“If she agrees, I guess so.” he replies with a shit eating grin looking right through you.
Your heart sank even further, maybe now it was as deep as the titanic,”Oh well good luck!” you smiled innocently at him, ignoring the way your heart is breaking more and more into this conversation. You averted your gaze from him and to the night sky, you sighed, “Guess now I’m the only one without a date huh?”
“You won’t be for long.” he mumbles quiet enough for you not to hear and still kept his gaze on you. “What?” you tilt your head to the side. “Nothin’” he says before chuckling and you rolled your eyes.
There was a moment of silence before you decided to break it. “Maybe I’ll take up on Diggory’s offer.” you say still looking at the night sky with stars streched endlessly with the cool breeze swept around you and it made you shiver a bit.
“What?” His eyes darkened, and his jaw tightened. “I thought you said he hasn’t asked you?”
You felt the tension around you both and didn’t dare to look him in the eyes. “He did, I just said I’d think about it.” You answered him, gulping in anxiety. “A few other guys have but I’m not as close, so I thought it would be better than it being awkward right?” you asked hesitantly.
Theo’s knuckles whitened as he gripped the railing, his jaw tight. His eyes flashed with a mix of anger and jealousy, and for a moment, it was clear how much the thought of Cedric asking you affected him. But why? Why would it affect him? Stop being delusional Y/n you thought. “Oh…you shouldn’t go…not with him.”
You were caught a bit offguard and finally meet his eyes, they were filled with annoyance and jealousy? “What?? Why? He’s good company you know!” you exclaim in confusion.
His jaw clenched, and his voice was low but firm. “I don’t like Diggory,” he said.
“Why?” you asked, curiosity mixing with concern. You stepped a bit closer to him now.i
He ran a hand through his curly hair, sighing. “Because… I don’t like the idea of him getting close to you. I can’t explain it — it just bothers me.”
“Why would it?” you asked, tilting your head, genuinely puzzled. “What’s so wrong about him being around?”
“It just doesn’t sit right with me,” he said, voice low and clipped. “I can’t watch him get close to you without feeling….cazzo non lo so. Nevermind, just listen to me, Cara. You are not going with Cedric.” his voice stern and demanding.
Your stomach had butterflies from the nickname yet you were scared of this demeanor of his so you just nodded. “Good.” he says before grabbing your wrist and head downstairs.

“You really didn’t have to drop me off,” you said, a small smile tugging at your lips.
He gave a small, serious smile, his eyes softening. “I had to,” he said quietly. “It’s not safe for a girl like you to be out alone at night.”
You opened your mouth to respond, but before you could say a word, Cedric’s cheerful voice cut through the quiet. “Y/n! There you are,” he says with a charming smile that could light up the whole castle “, oh Nott what are you doing here?” his smile falters for a second but quickly comes back.
Theo’s jaw tightened, and his eyes flicked to Cedric with a sharp edge. “I’m just dropping her off,” he said, his voice firm and filled with annoyance. “Would ask you the same, Diggory.”
The sweet smile on Cedric’s face never once faltered,”I’m a prefect, remember? Well you better get going too, wouldn’t want to decrease your house points.” He says calmly but in a double sided sarcastic way.
Theo scoffs before looking right at you, gaze becoming soft “I’ll go back now,” he says with a playful smirk and leans closer down before kissing your forehead “, see ya tomorrow, Tesoro.” as he turns around making his way out of the kitchen and into the dungeons.
You froze for a bit and cheeks felt hot, your face becoming red but you manage to stutter a “y-yeah cya too.” Heart racing, completely flustered by his teasing smile.
Cedric’s eyes narrowed slightly as he watched, a flicker of jealousy crossing his features. He looked between you and Theo, his jaw tightening ever so slightly, though he didn’t say a word.
“Uhm let’s go in, Ced” Your voice breaking him from his thoughts and he smiled as usual, not letting you see him jealous.
“Of course, you first” He says as the gentleman he is. Bowing and arms leading to the direction of the hufflepuff common room.

His POV - Theodore Nott
Fuck, fuck, fuck why did I do that? he thought walking in the slytherin common room looking like a deer in headlights. His friends turned their heads towards him. Draco and Mattheo were the ones left, the Slytherin Common Room was quiet since it was quite late.
“Why the long face, Nott?” Draco remarks, his tone teasing and testing Theo’s patience.
“Did you confess your undying love for Yaxley?” Mattheo chimes in, laying on the sofa arms draped around the head of the sofa.
Theo rolls his eyes and took a seat beside him. “I didn’t, she said she would accept Diggory’s offer to go to the Yule Ball-”
“Bloody hell Nott! You can’t let him win like that!” Mattheo cuts him off with disapointment lacing his voice.
Theo groans and puts a hand over Mattheo’s mouth, “For Merlin’s sake let me finish. I told her don’t go with him and when I dropped her off there was Cedric and I don’t know—I kissed her forehead and ran away!” He exlained everything in a hurried manner while running his hands through his hair in anxiousness.
“Isn’t that good you fool!?” Draco scowls, raising an eyebrow. “It’s good that I’m giving you my blessings, don’t make me second guess!”
“You’re always acting like you’re her brother, Malfoy.” Mattheo chuckles, still in a relax position on the sofa. “Better be careful there, Nott might get upset if you’re too close.”
Theo just growls in response, “I’m not that possesive tsk.” he says with a serious voice.
“Ya sure?” A teasing voice comes from the stairs, it was Enzo, he just woke up from a quick nap. He plops onto the couch beside Draco. “You hex or just plainly beat up all the guys who asks her out.”
“Sometimes they haven’t even asked her out, they had just been planning to” Draco laughs out.
Despite all the jokes and banter Theo still replies “Not the greatest plan, if it was that easy for me to find out really.”
“Or even just staring from afar.” Mattheo slithers in
“What else am I supposed to do!?” he says being frustrated and tired. A hand over his head and his head leaning back over the sofa as he kept remembering that forehead kiss. “How do I ask her to the ball?” he asks the boys surrounding him.
The boys all look at each other nodding, “We will handle this.” they say in unison. Theo gives them a confused look but sighs since he does have to trust them.
They end the night with a whole plan for Mr Theodore Nott and Ms Y/N Yaxley future Nott.

The next day - Hogsmaede
After a long day of running around Hogsmaede, bags in the guys hands as they follow the girls. The group all became quite exhausted from all the walking and shopping they had to experience for the day.
“I’m absolutely famished, we should get some food!” Draco complained stretching his arms out as the other guys had their backs hunched, all tired from the journey.
Mattheo chimed in,”Madam Puddifoot’s right there, we can stop by!” He said it like it was an option but from the way he was already marching down to the shop says otherwise. The guys follow without a complaint, which baffled you.
You and the girls were confused, the guys NEVER wants to go to Madam Puddifoot! They said it was too girly, cramped, uncomfortable and everything else in the book. The three of you exchange glances before following them into the store.
Inside Madam Puddifoot’s tea shop was tacky, frilly, covered with bows and pink. It had this romantic cute vibe going around as you all were surrounded by couples everywhere. Each table only sat 2 people maximum.
Blaise sat with Pansy, Draco sat with Astoria, Enzo and Mattheo sat together, which left you with….
You blinked as you unwind what is about to happen, you had to sit with Theo! Theodore Nott! A guy who you had such mixed feelings for…
He was already sat before you even saw him, you gave a small cough and sat across from him. You wanted to talk with the others but they were all engaged in their own conversations from what you’re looking at.
You panicked and blurb something out,”So no weed huh? How’s that doing for ya’ Nott?” Blinking in panic for the most random thing you said.
“Ain’t easy, I could tell ya’ that for sure” Theo’s eyes landing right onto yours, you on the other hand keep looking at his eyes for one second and at the next look at anything else there is in the shop wether it was fascinating or boring.
“Oh that’s rough, you should stay strong! It’s fine to take a hit once in a while though, don’t force yourself too much.”,you say with a soft smile plastered on your face without even realizing as you explained with some hand gestures, a habit you have had since you were a kid.
Theodore looks at you with a softness you can’t quite grasp, just listening to you talk and looking straight into your eyes. “I don’t think I will, Tesoro.”
Eyes widening and mouth shaping a small o,”Oh well that’s great too!I mean-“
The sound of Madam Pudifoot interrupts you as she gives your orders in this sweet mother-like tone. Your mouth watered as she sets down the Victoria sponge cake, golden layers soft and inviting, the sweet scent of butter and jam drifting through the air right to your nose.
On the other side of the table, Theo got a lemon cake, the zesty aroma and shiny lemon glaze making it feel sweetly enticing. “That look’s amazing!”, you said still eyeing his cake.
He snorts,”You can ask for a bite, you know?” “Really?” “Yeah, go ahead.” “Hehehe thanks, Nott.” You grab your fork and cut a tiny piece of cake for it to be a bite-sized. “It’s really good!” A look of pure delight crossed your face. “Is it?” He responded in a somewhat teasing tone and gently took the fork from your hand to get a taste,”It really is.”
You felt your face warm, surprised by the gesture he just did. “That’s my fork-“ “Is that a problem?” “Well… um, no, but— isn’t it weird? Like it’s basically a—“,you paused. “Well Bambina?” “Well people say it’s like an indirect kiss! Not—“ “Does that bother you?” you got caught off guard and stayed silent for a few seconds.
“Y/n?” “Uhm— I mean no but just I don’t know.” The room seemed to hold its breath for a second before being broken by Theo’s words ,”We could just kiss—might make this less weird.” His eyes were full of hope as he leaned in, giving you time to pull away or to agree.
For a moment you seemed unsure, then you leaned in too. “You sure ‘bout this?” you asked, still uncertain. “If you don’t want to, you can say so.” ,there was no doubt or hesitation in his voice. “Of course, I want to—“ He silenced you with a gentle kiss. The surroundings blurred into the background, leaving only the quiet, electric closeness of the moment.
Their friends erupted in happiness, someone loudly declaring, ‘Finally!’ They broke apart, suddenly very aware of all the eyes on them. Theo cast them a sharp glare, a warning saying they’re not finished with their time alone. Their friends sat back, clearly backing off and giving them what they wanted.
You hid your face in your hands, heat rising to your cheeks, as Theo reassured you softly. “Y/n, would you go to the Yule Ball with me?” You stared at him in shock,”I thought you’d never asked. You didn’t give him time to react before pulling him into another kiss. Shock flickered across his face before he relaxed and kissed you back.
You pulled back, meeting each other’s eyes. “I love you, mi amore.” he murmured, his gaze never leaving yours. “Love you too, Theodore.”
