ANNOUNCEMENT

Unfortunately, due to circumstances in my life, I need to put this blog on hiatus. Life is very stressful and that can be a complete buzzkill for my muse and I really dont want to over-work my brain with two blogs to handle.

I am really, really, really sorry to those I am rping with and I truly hope you can forgive me because I hate to do this but I do not want to keep you all waiting when my muse has been so goddamn fickle.

HOWEVER, if anyone would like to still chit-chat or even roleplay (given I have time/muse) and want to get into contact with me, you can add me on Skype as thesilverblood. my display name pops up as “Sarah”.

“This is just another island we’re stopping by to get supplies before we go further in the grand line.” Bored, the man yawns.

“I was just getting a drink before my nap.” he followed her rubbing his eyes.

“I see,” she tapered off into a pensive quiet, hands shoved into the pockets of her trousers. “Well, if you guys need wild game or medicinal herbs, I can lend a hand.” Just a friendly offer, picking up her pace into a steady jog as they came ‘round a corner where the road headed off into a small valley. She skidded to a halt abruptly, because the spot where she’d left her supplies and her horse, was empty.

Sarah’s expression changed; her lips pursed and her rather docile demeanor changed into tense, angry frustration. A half-strangled curse left her, “Sh--fft, you have got to be kidding me!” The dirt was disturbed with footprints and hoofprints, a group had come by and swiped the meat and her mount. “God-freaking damn those back-stabbing, no good sacks of manure.” She kicked the dirt and almost immediately started down the road.

“I’ve got thieves to hunt now, you’re welcome to come if you want. Otherwise, thanks!” The brunette didnt waste any time, calling out to the swordsman as she broke into a loping run.

“Thats it? Sure I’ll help ya, that’s easy. And I tried being down low at first but joining that crew means that is literally impossible.”He stands and waits for her to lead the way. “So wheres the stuff?”

“Wonderful!” And it really was! “This way, s’just a short trek. I carried it all from the woods but it’s taken me all damn day.” She turned ‘round and ambled right out of the bar, playfully saluting one or two faces she spotted who were familiar. Out on the street, the port town was relatively quiet, if just for the occasional passer-by or a small family carrying groceries home.

“So, what on earth brought you here? This place is deader than a doornail most of the time. Is it just you or do you’ve got your crew tutting about somewhere?” Making idle conversation as she led him down the main street, towards the outskirts of the town where she’d left her supplies.

She wasnt sure if this fella was paranoid or just nosy; or maybe he was both. It wasnt like she put up a very suspicious front either. “I dont work for anyone, aside from myself. Name’s Sarah, and to whom and I speaking?” Ah well, introductions had to be done regardless. But she wasnt too keen on sharing her surname or that silly epithet the stupid Marines pegged her with.

“You must be new if you havn’t heard of me.” Being a famous pirate his name and information was already out there. “I’m known as pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro, I’m part of the Strawhat crew, santoryuu swordsman.” He put a hand on his three swords.

Her expression turns thoughtful when he provides his full name on top of his epithet. Then her brows lift and her mouth purses into an ‘o’ shape, there is just the mildest sense of recognition in her expression. “Aaah, I remember seeing your poster alongside your crew.” Sarah hums, a mixture of impressed and still that easy nonchalance.

“It’s a real honor to meet someone so infamous in this sleepy little port, you’ll have to pardon if I am suitably freaked out or whatever. I try to stay far under the radar, so to speak.” She smiles at him, it’s languid and amicable all in one. “So, would you still lend me a hand? I just need someone to help me carry some stuff to the butcher in town.”

He watched her panic in disgust, wanting to just get it over with and kill her. He took back what he said about her being brave, she was about as brave as a shitty chicken, and even then it seemed like a chicken was braver than even her. He felt disgusted watching her squirm around like he was going to slaughter her at any moment, which there was a big chance he would, but that didn’t make his disgust any less. He hated cowards, in his opinion, they were a fucking waste of space! Didn’t this woman realize that the more she squirmed, the more he wanted to kill her?! He turned to Killer and snorted, it seemed that the other man felt the same as he tightened his grip on his sword.

“Wait, Killer, as much as this bitch disgusts me, let’s just humor her for a fucking moment.” Kidd knew that if he didn’t say that, the masked man would have beheaded her already and he was really temped to let him. Everyone knew that out of the two of them, Killer was the more merciful one and if he was itching to slice her throat that much, it meant that he also thought she was useless and disgusting. What he wouldn’t do to just have a damn drink right now, so he wouldn’t have to deal with idiot’s like her. “Fucking hurry up, even Killer’s getting impatient!” He snarled at her, before taking a deep breathe to calm himself down. He raised his eyebrow at her and just sighed. “Those reasons aren’t that good, considering I fucking have all the crew members I need.” He grit his teeth as he looked down at his arm. He was contemplating whether to just end all of this right now or not, he wasn’t even feeling anticipation that he always felt when he killed, seeing all that blood always made his blood boil. But not now. 

He turned to Killer again and silently asked him his thoughts. “You’re right, she’s practically useless, captain.” The masked man began while he took his hand off his sword. “But I think in our case she could be useful with the alliance, she could be the peacemaker and make sure that it doesn’t fall apart. That’s the only usefulness I see in her.” As much as he hated to admit it, he was telling the truth. From the beginning he was against the already crumbling alliance and Killer had his hands full already, he could use all the help he could get. He turned back to her and barked out the question he knew would regret. “Fine, want the fucking job?! Think carefully before you answer!”

By this point, it isnt so much fear that she’s trembling from, its rather the overdose of adrenaline that is turning her blood to fire. She feels hot and her whole body is tense, all too ready to spring into action at the first vague inclination of an attack. Hand rests on the hilt of her sword, her posture purely defensive in the verbal onslaught from Kidd. She wasnt too offended by his insults but she certainly wasnt a coward! It was called common sense to be leery of two brutes who would kill her at the drop of a hat.

Unfortunately, she isnt in any position right now to sass Eustass Kidd and his first mate. Maybe if they had been on an island where she had escape routes available. But out in the middle of nowhere? And on his own ship? Nope. Not gonna happen. Both of them looked ready to pop her head off like a daisy; the morbid mental image was kind of funny actually. Oh lord, the seawater must’ve gone to her head if she found her own demise humorous.

Shoulders and legs still tense, dark eyes wide and wary, her brow lifted when Killer spoke up about using her as a conflict mediator for an alliance. Well, that was certainly doable and would hopefully keep her alive until she could escape where-ever this alliance meeting was held. 

“..Yeah, fine, I’ll do that for you. So long as it keeps me from being gutted like a fish.” Sarah eyes them both, “I’ll need information about this Alliance though, terms, who is there, all that.” Straight to business without missing a beat, not that she relaxed at all. Still tightly wound.

Kidd glared at her and crossed his arms. He didn’t care where the fuck she came from right now, she wasn’t answering his questions and he was getting really impatient. “Listen to me carefully, if you want to fucking living for more than a minute, answer my fucking questions!” He didn’t care about her problems or whatever. Nor, did he care how she came upon his ship, what he did care was that she was on it and he didn’t even know who she was! “Who the fuck are you?!” He growled out as his eyes flashed. He was getting more and more pissed off by the minute!

He turned to Wire and glared harshly, letting him know that if he didn’t obey his next command as quickly as possible, there would be hell to pay! “Get Killer, now!” He hissed lowly before he turned to the rest of his crew. “The rest of you get back to work, Killer and I can fucking take care of this!” When the crew scrambled away, he turned back to the woman and sneered. “As for you, I don’t need any slaves. I have no fucking use for you, so unless you want to die, you better answer any and all of my questions accordingly. Got it?!” He didn’t know why she would think he would even need her, what he needed was Killer’s opinion and… maybe he could just order him to kill her. She getting to be a pain already.

When he heard footsteps, he turned his head to look at his first mate. “Killer, this shitty woman is an intruder.” He told him coldly, watching as he stepped toward them with his hand on top of his sword, ready to kill on Kidd’s command anytime. “I want her to answer my questions then we should decide what to do with her, though, we’ll probably end up fucking slaughtering anyways.” Kidd explained to him and turned back to the woman. “Now, so far I think you’re about as useful and annoying as the fucking marines, tell me why I should spare you. And make it a fucking good reason, i’m already bored with you.”

Warning bells were going off in her head. Ring, ring, red alert. Red alert! A rush of adrenaline chased away the lethargy that the seawater always caused her as a Devil Fruit user. She could feel the pulsing race of her Fruit’s energy again, although it still wasnt substantial enough to get her out of this mess. The adrenaline also helped clear the muddled mess in her head and allowed clearer thoughts to be processed.

“Yessir.” There was no time for any other answer than a quick agreement, she was thinking fast and weighing all of her options during the brief time allotted before Killer showed up on deck. Her heart-rate picked up ten fold; two powerful contenders stood in her way now. Shit. Maybe it was better if she had drowned.

The brunette cleared her throat, “My name is Sarah, I’m marked down as the ‘Silverblood’ from the marines on my wanted poster. I hail from the South Blue and am the possessor of a mythical zoan fruit” A short breath taken to continue, “I am a game huntress, magician and healer primarily but I can also navigate, play music and bake. Frankly, I can easily lend hand to whoever is your Doctor or Cook.“ And she was done, for now. If worst came to worst, she had a plan already solidified in her head.

“Bloody hell, I’ve dropped my glasses. Does anyone see them?”

There’s the sound of the door swinging open, the chime of the bell drowned out by the thrum of the crowd in the bar. Nobody really looks twice at the rather diminutive brunette as she strolls up through the center aisle, boots clicking on the wooden floor. Either she’s a local or maybe they just arent interested in tangling with a woman who happens to have a seven-foot polearm weapon strung across her back. Maybe it’s both.

She leans on the counter, eyeing those seated there, “So, anybody here wanna lend me a hand with something?”

“The fuck kind of weapon is that?” He didn’t care much for the unknown women just wanted to know what the hell was on her back.

She tilts her head towards the green-haired stranger, dark eyes roaming over him with a subdued sense of curiosity. Idly, she fixes the frames of her glasses before answering right away. “A naginata, it’s also called a glaive in some places. Pretty much allows me to make cutlets out of my enemies while keeping them too far away to strike me.”

And that was that, unless he had more questions, she’d press right on. “But aside from that, do you want to lend me a hand? I’ll pay of course, whether in Beli or in drink.”

The redhead hissed as in anger when he saw half of his crew waiting for him. “What the fuck happened here?!” He asked angrily, turning towards Wire in irritation, seeing as he was the one who actually caught the intruder. Who the fuck would actually dare trespass on his ship?! This woman must have a death wish if she was here! And he thought that Strawhat bastard was a daring little piece of shit. Well, whoever this woman was, she was going to pay for coming onto his ship.

He growled lowly as he came closer to her. “I’m Eustass fucking Kidd, who the hell do you think you are, coming onto my ship?!” He asked her dangerously as his eyes flashed menacingly. He could tell that his crew had similar thoughts. No one ever dared to come onto his ship uninvited, it was unheard of! He was The Eustass “Captain” Kidd, one of the most menacing pirates to date. Yet, here this woman was, on his ship! As far as he knew, there was only one other woman who was brave enough to come onto his ship and he hadn’t seen that glutton in years!

“Let me make this fucking clear to you, if I even think you’re lying to me, I will slaughter you!” Kidd looked down at her, daring her to challenge him or even lie to him. He wasn’t lying when he warned her, even now he had the urge to see blood flow out of her. He licked his lips hungrily with bloodlust, he could practically hear her screams of pain. It was music to his ears. “Then again, I could just slaughter you at any moment I feel like it.” He mused out loud and flashed her his mechanical arm in order to scare the living shit out of her.

Why did this guy have to so goddamn loud?! The volume of his voice made her head practically thrum with discomfort. She really wanted to tell him to shove it but then he loudly proclaimed himself as Eustass Kidd. Oh just fucking great. She landed on the ship of one of the psycho murderers of the Supernovas, she was probably safer leaping overboard again and drowning.

Wire spoke up, explaining that they’d fished the woman out of the ocean, she’d apparently been drowning and had clung onto one of their fishing nets. The brunette spoke up after he tapered off into silence, “Look, take a step back with the threats. I latched onto the first thing that I could reach to get me out from drowning and I seriously do appreciate being pulled onto deck.” She rubbed her head where Wire had cuffed her, “Didnt need the almost concussion though.”

With her impaired vision, she only saw the lumpy shape of Kidd’s mechanical arm and reflexively flinched away, scrambling onto her feet. She was backed up against the ship’s railing, still dripping seawater on the deck. “Woah, hey, Kidd, dude, I am not worth the trouble. Let me live to pay back your crew pulling me out of the sea and you can dump me off at the next island, that’ll be the end of it.” Said in a rush, self preservation kicking in. She was definitely not strong enough to tangle with Kidd and his crew, bargaining is her best bet of survival.
