Things I learned on my healing journey so farš¤
1. Trust your opinion first. It's okay to ask your trusted person for advice but at the end of the day, they're not YOU. Always come back to your heart and your true opinion or decision so you don't have any regrets.
2. Keep things private. I'm not saying, don't tell anyone anything about your life. Keep your goals, your plans and your relationships private. Notice how every time you tell your "friends" about your crush, it all goes south and suddenly he doesn't like you anymore? If you kept it private, that wouldn't have happened. Not everyone needs to know everything about you.
3. Change your mindset. This is the secret of a good life y'all. You can have everything you've ever dreamed of, your job, your partner, anything. But your mindset is so poor that you keep seeking out every wrong thing about your dream life. Always looking for negative, being happy when something falls because "you were right all along". I'm not saying be naive, but be positive. Hope for the best. Expect good things. Replace negative thoughts about yourself with positive ones. Your mindset is your life and your reality. Realize it already.
4. Stop doubting yourself. Stop thinking you can't do it because it's 'hard'. Who said it's hard? We all know you can do it. Like, come on it's not that hard stop having that pathetic victim 'I can't do it' mindset. How old are you, again? Your self doubt is a liar and the only power it has is you believing in it. - Elanora Oxa
5. Things won't come true if you don't put in the work. You are saying affirmations 'my skin is clear' everyday but NOT having a skin care routine. Come on. 'I have my dream body' but not doing a workout here and there? Sorry to break it to you, but you won't get anywhere like that. Actually DO stuff. If you pair exercise with affirmations, it's a game changer.
Hey Angels, this is a unusual kinda post from me. These are all literally life-changing, however small they may seem. Once you implement these into your life and enjoy the process, you will bloom. Hope this helped.

an angels guide: healthy eating at school
hi angels! you voted and this came first so here it is, an angels guide to eating healthily and focusing on your body and health goals at school. healthy eating at school can be tricky. you use up so much enegry and time in class and studying that meals can seem a little less important. you might end up skipping a meal or eating a meal that ends up not fitting your health goals all because you ran out of time. i have created three categories of lunches to help you find meal inspo: cold lunches, hot lunches and make the night before lunches. also a bonus snack section and some general tips! enjoy angels and feel free to comment your go to lunches/snacks.

tips
bring a bottle of cold water with you to school, drinking water regularly helps you look and feel your best.
eat breakfast! even if you donāt get very hungry eating in the morning helps your brain and body function itās best. try having some fruit or a smoothie if you really struggle to eat in the mornings.
try vitamins/probiotics to help you get all your nutrients and vitamins in.
buy a cute lunch box/food containers to make sure your lunches are adorable.
make a pinterest board of cute healthy lunches to be inspired by!
figure out your health goals and create meal ideas from there. for example: i want to build muscle! that means you need more protein in your diet so plan meals and snacks with lots of protein sources to fit your goal.

a week of cold lunches:
chicken salad: mix chicken, avocado, tomato, cucumber, carrot, corn, salad leaves (lettuce, rocket etc). add mustard and lemon dressing, season well with salt and pepper and fresh dill. dessert: raspberries and blueberries served with peanut butter and greek yogurt.
tuna and avocado pita: mashed avocado and tuna, seasoned with salt and pepper, fill in pita along with rocket and pickle slices. dessert: pineapple and pomegranate fruit salad.
cold rice bowl: mix cooked salmon, rice, cucumbers, cooked broccoli and sliced carrot. sprinkle with sesame seeds and pepper and salt. garnish with a garlic mayo or homemade yogurt garlic sauce. dessert: chopped strawberries dipped in yogurt and coated in dark chocolate and coconut oil left to harden.
feta and turkey wrap: place lettuce, turkey, tomato in a wrap and sprinkle with feta, pepper and salt. dessert: sliced apple (squeeze lemon over to stop apple going brown) with peanut butter, greek yogurt and cinnamon dip.
cold pesto pasta salad: mix cooked penne pasta, homemade pesto, tomato, rocket, avocado, grated parmesan and season with salt and pepper. dessert: tangerine pieces and kiwi.
cold noodles: mix cooked noodles, shredded red cabbage and carrots, green onions, handful of crushed peanuts, chopped cucumber and cover with sesame peanut sauce. dessert: homemade blueberry banana oat muffin.
salmon bagel: add salmon, cream cheese (or cottage cheese), cucumber, rocket, lemon and pepper to a bagel. dessert: blackberries and mango.

a week of hot lunches:
pizza toast: spread homemade tomato sauce on a piece of sourdough bread, cover with mozzarella, add your favourite toppings such as ham, mushroom, olive, pepper etc and bake until cheese melted, serve with rocket. dessert: banana bread and greek yogurt.
stuffed aubergine (or eggplant): sautƩ aubergine, onion, garlic, pepper, zucchini and olive, add in tomato paste and season. put in aubergine and sprinkle with cheese. bake until cheese melted. dessert: sautƩed apples served warm with yogurt and granola.
chicken meatballs: homemade chicken meatballs cooked with a soy based sauce and red peppers. serve with cooked rice. dessert: strawberry oat crumble.
gyozas: heat or make some gyozas and serve with a cucumber and carrot salad with soy sauce to dip. dessert: hot matcha tea with strawberries.
soup: make your favourite soup and serve with some warm sourdough toast. dessert: watermelon slices.
quesadilla style wrap: fill a whole wheat wrap with cheese, turkey, tomatoes and avocado. cook until cheese melted and warm. dessert: green grapes, blueberries and raspberries.
grilled chicken burrito: mix grilled chicken, rice, avocado, black beans, corn, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro and sour cream with cooked rice and squeeze over lime and season as preferred. dessert: rice cakes with greek yogurt strawberries and melted dark chocolate.

HOW TO CREATE AN ENERGISING MORNING ROUTINE
WAKE UP EARLIER. Waking up early looks different for a lot of us, and iām not going to reccomend waking up at 5am for a lot of us. Whatever time you wake up now, I would suggest waking up 30 minutes or so earlier and see how you feel.Ā
If you feel like you really need those 30 minutes to sleep, then use it sleeping. Whatever time makes you feel like you are at the best, is the perfect time for you. It does take some trial and error to find this time, but itās worth it.Ā
Another thing, I generally wouldnāt suggest waking up past 10am. If you sleep in a little too much, you do become a bit sluggish during the first hours of your day, but whatever works for you.Ā
SUNLIGHT FIRST THING. Going outside, a hot girl walk or simply opening your windows to allow the sun to come in helps our body to become awake. Natural sunlight is a sign to our bodies that we need to start the day.Ā
This also promotes a healthy rise in cortisol to support our mood, focus and energy. This natural increase in cortisol helps with melatonin production in the evening, which improves the quality of your sleep.
Exposure to unnatural light can disrupt this rhythm, so itās best to stay away from any devices and turn off of your lights before and after you wake up. Ideally, an hour after you wake up, should be spent device-free. (aside from alarms or setting habit tasks)Ā
NO PROCESSED, CAFFEINATED OR SUGARY FOODS, before you have a proper meal. When we eat these foods before a nutritious meal, it can lead to a spike in cortisol and blood sugar levels first thing in the morning, which leads to crashing in the afternoon after the spike goes down.Ā
When we eat after we wake up, it stabilises our blood sugar levels and replenishes ourselves after our fast. If need to be, meal prep the night before so you can have a quick and easy breakfast. As long as it properly fuels your body.Ā
GENTLE EXERCISES. Youāve just woken up, so you donāt want to rush your body into something too hardcore until you feel like youāre fully awake. Gentle exercises could mean stretching, a light walk or if youāre feeling a bit energised, pilates.Ā
SET INTENTIONS. Set the theme for how you want to feel at the start of the day, during and end. It doesnāt have to be something productive, but a feeling that you want to achieve and maximise and use that feeling in what you do.Ā
For ex. In the morning, I want to feel calm. During the day, I want to feel productive. At the end of the day, I want to feel accomplished.Ā
SHORT TO-DO LISTS! To-do lists that are more than 3 major tasks usually are unmanageable. While you can break down those 3 major tasks, try to avoid having more than 3 major tasks.Ā
If you do have more than 3, consider moving them into a different date if its not urgent or cutting that task completely if its not urgent and unimportant. How you assess the urgency and importance of your tasks is up to you, as you know what productivity means to you.Ā
Remember the basics as well, such as hydration, mindfullness, and at least one fun activity in the morning. Thank you so much for the support, even while I was a bit inactive <3
