Čudovita, prepričljiva in na trenutke prav poetična meditacija o družbi, navadah, znanju, obrazih, zgodovini in zgodbah, ki počasi, rod za rodom izginjajo pod vse močnejšim pritiskom civilizacije in zahodnega načina življenja. Zelo priporočljiv ogled !
Every civilizational progress brings about not only good things, but also some things that are inevitably discarded and forgotten. Left by the road of the progress, marked as completely useless and forgotten by time. This is the bittersweet thesis in the heart of this excellent documentary feature co-directed by the late, great Slovenian photographer and documentary filmaker Jure Breceljnik and his excellent director of photography Rožle Bregar. It is a wonderful, deeply felt documentary portrait of the vanishing Inuit tribes located on the north of Europe whose way of life, historical heritage, stories and legacy are being slowly , but certainly eroded by the intrusion of the western way of life in these remote, rural communities. Excellent documentary and a highly recommended viewing !
Hopefully this means that old-school, hard-core actioners have not completely vanished :)

“You’ll feel so homesick that you’ll want to die, and there’s nothing you can do about it apart from endure it. But you will, and it won’t kill you. And one day the sun will come out - you might not even notice straight away, it’ll be that faint. And then you’ll catch yourself thinking about something or someone who has no connection with the past. Someone who’s only yours. And you’ll realize… that this is where your life is.”
-Brooklyn (2015)
