honestly, the hatred towards Zendaya's acting specifically is so weird to me. Her work as Rue in Euphoria alone proves she's amazing, her physicality is astounding, her dramatic scenes are always perfectly calibrated while her more lighthearted ones feel realistic. Her line delivery is excellent and she brings depth to all her characters, which is shown by how much people resonate with them (her work in challengers still being a large topic of discussion years later while not even being her absolute best is proof of it). i wonder if it stands from jealousy or how much she's accomplished while coming from a normal-ish background (i don't think she was ever particularly well off before disney)? because to me, it seems like she's extremely respected by her peers in the industry, and always garners praise from directors she works with, Chris Nolan being a more recent example of it.. who knows
