In the Naruto Shinden Family Day novel, when Hinata thinks about her childhood with her dad, her most vivid memories are just the smell of blood and kunai and the fact that she was always training and never given the chance to rest or play. I'm happy Hinata made the emphatic decision not to move back into the Hyuga compound.

God she needed away from that place. It was horrible and her dad was so mean and abusive to her. He legit considered her unworthy of his attention or love when he realIed she was timid and quiet and not really suited to be a leader.

Hinata needed her own home and one with loving children and a dumbdumb husband is so good for her. She needed that escape and Naruto provided it for her because he knew what it was like to be mistreated and abused.

One of the cute differences between Boruto and Naruto is that Boruto is nowhere near as apt with the clone jutsu as Naruto is. All those Narutos and just a few Borutos! This comes up quite a bit in the show, too.
