No wonder they call it cuffing season
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs?
I’m not entirely sure what this is asking, but if it means like a song that the people that made it didn’t like or one that wasn’t well-received I have 2 examples.
I shamelessly like “We Built This City”. It’s hypocritical and I understand why they didn’t like it, but it’s, as Angela would say, “a bop”.
I also shamelessly like the album “The Last DJ” (again, a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers answer, I know, I know). The reviews of this are extremely negative and it’s often ranked as his worst album. This album is where I feel my love for Pink Floyd and Tom Petty combine into one album rather than the worst of both as many think.
Hope that answers your question! Thanks for asking
What a boppppp
Why do you have so many guitars?
Angela, is that you?
In all seriousness, I’m a huge proponent of using multiple guitars for different songs/purposes. Once you hit a certain level of guitar playing I feel everyone recognizes the use of numerous guitars. Beyond just having an acoustic and an electric, it’s super useful to be able to pull from different sounds and they can really make or break a song.
It’s not that it’s impossible to play on the same guitar, but to use a bunch adds layers to the music and can make the distinction between songs more obvious. And no, pedals are not the alternative to different guitars. It’s all about the tonewood, pick-ups on electrics/hybrids, and the build. You can’t replace using other guitars, but it’s not something to prevent you from learning if you’re short on funds. I know the feeling.
Thanks for the question
I can assure you it was not me, although it’s a valid question -low key still don’t know how to do anon. question and answers stuff lol
First song you ever learned to play?
Every time I say the first song I learned I remember an earlier one. I think this is right though:
First instrument (Recorder): Happy Birthday
Guitar: Fur Elise or some Christmas song for a performance using just tab but the first song with chords I learned was probably either a Beatles song or a Bob Dylan classic
Bass: Either “Money” (Pink Floyd) or a song for work
Flute: I can’t remember the name but it was in our warm up book and I was so proud of myself for learning it because I was a year behind (I took a year of violin) and it was what everyone who was in my class was trying to figure out
Harmonica: Some blues riff, again not sure of the name sorry
Keyboard: “Imagine” (John Lennon) cause I’m basic sometimes
Ukulele: “Wildflowers” (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers)
Sorry these answers kind of sucked! If I remember any other details I’ll get back to you.
Thanks for asking
Imagine doesn’t suck! And neither does being basic 😋
Do you want to study music theory?
I already am, I’m in an IB music theory course and take theory lessons at work as well. I also spend every moment of my spare time learning as much about music as I can.
If you mean in college/as a career then I’m not sure, but possibly. It’s that or biology. I think I’d rather study bio and then spend all my free time with music but I’m honestly not sure
Thanks for asking!!💕
IB bio and music theory are the best classes obv. (it might help we sit next to each other in them)
You talk about performing very differently from the others in the band, why?
2 main reasons, I think.
1. I perform differently. Ladaysha has very little on stage performance, but she’s learning (love you<3). Angela has a lot of band concert experience and trying out experience, but (as far as I know) predominantly or exclusively plays by reading sheet music. Neither is bad or wrong, just different from how I do things. Admittedly, I’m in jazz band and was in band/orchestra in school performing the sheet music way as well, but my preferred experience comes from my job. Playing on stage songs that I like on instruments I like by ear and memory is just so surreal. Those are the experiences I talk most about.
2. I’ve done more leading on stage. Again, not a diss or a put down to them, but I’ve been given more opportunities in life to get up and lead performances and that really does something to you. It changes how you see music and the world, if you let it.
It’s not that I’m better or my way is better or that they are better, just different. We all come from different backgrounds and have different experiences that have shaped how we view performing in different ways.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks for the ask <3
I’ve had a bunch of experiences performing on flute but that’s VERY different from the type of style we play and on a different instrument.
Biggest musical inspirations?
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will always have the top spot on this list in terms of bands or famous artists of any kind. I wouldn’t be doing half the stuff I do on guitar if it weren’t for Mike Campbell’s incredible solos and Tom Petty’s intense rhythm guitar. I learned most of my bass lines when I started by watching Ron Blair play too!
My 6th grade teacher was also extremely influential in my choice to pursue music. He was the sole driving factor that kept me from quitting and pushed me forward. Angela’s told me before that she thinks it was mainly an impressionable time in my life and that’s why, which I would mostly agree with, but there was just something about how passionate he was that it was infectious. I’m not spiritual at all, but if any of that’s even remotely real that’s as close to it as I’ll ever get.
If you were just looking for a list of artists/guitarists here’s a handful; tom petty, mike campbell, george harrison, john lennon, jimi hendrix, jimmy page, elvis costello, pete townsend, bruce springsteen, brian may, david gilmour, prince, david bowie, and most other standards.
Feel free to ask for other instruments/to elaborate. Thanks for the question <3
I would like to clarify I’m not saying he wasn’t an amazing or influential person. He was. He was just our teacher but he felt like a second grandpa to me. That age is an impressionable age (that’s why I like the fault in our stars cause I read it at a young age) but that should not demote how great a teacher and impactful influencer he was. I think he was more of a moral guide than musical for me personally, as he was not our music teacher (but that does not mean he couldn’t be for you it was just slightly different for me); but his calm, happy, and compassionate personality that was heavy involved in music definitely helped inspire thinngs in his students and empower them to continue. I miss him a lot.
Ally: Tom Petty / Mike Campbell (Talented, guitarists, motivated, funny)
Angela: Stevie Nicks (she kind of counts right?) / Benmont Tench (Talented, pianist/vocalists, happy to be there, educated)
Ladaysha: Ron Blair / Steve Ferrone (Talented, Bassist/Drummer, wholesome, caring)
Ally loves Tom petty
I don’t know if I’m an alto or a soprano yet #badsinger #workingonit
The names are in order leftmost being the most likely to reply with that and right being the least
Ally wouldn’t die for anyone first lol
Ally: Are you sugaring your pizza?
Ladaysha: Food is anarchy, dude. Live by your own rules.
Unpopular opinion- pizza is gross

Rank eachother on a scale of 1-5 in each category. then add up by individuals to see who’s each person’s best friend and then by overall to see who makes the best friend overall.
(this is entirely scientific trust us)
We did these, would you want to see them?
i made this from a vine comp. and i have spent 3 hours trying to fix the transitions and it wont let me ugh
The last one is the most accurate 😂
Angela is so much fun to draw. Here’s what I learned in the face study:
- eyes: (shape best shown in 2, but 3 works well also), almond shaped, brown - eyelashes: short, bottom eyelashes are pronounced - eyebrows: shape best shown in picture 2, curved, not as sharp of a drop as Ally’s but very similar - lips: only reference really was the 1st picture, thin, pronounced Cupid’s bow - nose: similar to Ally’s, slightly raised at the bottom, pronounced bridge - face shape: strong jawline, small indents near the eyes and below the cheekbones (but the indents are unimportant to the overall structure) - hair: medium/long, slightly wavy, keeps hair up sometimes (when it is its mildly chaotic, but well kept)
“Mildly chaotic” is the prefect description 😂
Ally and Angela for the ship thing pleaseeeeee
-who cries when someone dies in a movieI’ll go Angela just because I can’t picture Ally crying at a movie and picturing her comforting Angela brings me joy.
-who wears the ugly holiday garbProbably Ally ironically. Angela probably actually dresses up nicely and Ally just shows up in the grossest/ugliest thing she has cause she just doesn’t care
-who pays for the mealsBoth I think pretty equally.
-who slams the oven door and who plays the tromboneAlly plays the Trombone and Angela slams the door.
-who brings home stray animalsAngela. And it’s definitely a struggle for Ally to turn them away.
-who leaves the bathroom door openAlly (again, she just doesn’t care) but like I also picture her walking in when Angela closes the door just because it does not matter to her at all and Angela just tries to kick her out
-who tells the ‘dad jokes’Ally.
-who wants kids moreHonestly they’re one of my ships that I could picture them together and never having kids. Like, I don’t know that kids would necessarily be in their picture. However Jess and Stephanie disagree and think it’s Ally so….Ally.
-who travels moreThey both do (for the band in the au!!) I know Ally has two major trips planned soon though so perhaps Ally? I think they probably enjoy it equally though.
-who spends more cashI think they both like to avoid spending money as much as possible but I think maybe Angela a bit more than Ally.
-who buys the things in infomercialsEither Ally ironically or for a joke or neither of them.
-who draws in the dust on their carsI say it’s Angela cause I can picture Ally seeing dust on the car and going to get it washed ASAP. Again, Stephanie and Jess say it’s Ally. I’m maintaining that it’s Angela though.
-who starts the snowball fightsAlly!!!
-who throws away the directions to thingsAlly. Angela is all about using directions and Ally’s like “I know this town like the back of my hand” and then they get lost.
-who puts up holiday decorBoth of them together but Angela definitely enjoys it more. Ally hangs lights and then says “no more” and meanwhile Angela is inside covering the walls in holiday cheer
-who is more likely to forget to batheAlly. She strikes me as the kind to work so hard she forgets everything. Angela keeps her in check though.
-who gets more obsessed about thingsAngela. I can picture her finding something and obsessing more than Ally but I think Ally also does it.
-who sings in the shower more oftenThey’re both singers in the band so I think it’s probably both equally.
Most of this is pretty accurate but it’s really weird to be shipped with a friend. 😂
First of all, Ally is gorgeous and under appreciated. Secondly I just wanted a face ref thing and Ally was the only one with enough pictures to do one for (cough Angela and Ladaysha cough)
Picture 1: This is a throwback to her possible solo album fiasco. I think it’s a great picture, it can be used for: - hair - eyebrows - hands - face shape
Picture 2: Probably my favorite picture of her. I messed up on the face shape so it’s not a good face shape reference but it is good for: - nose (forward) - lips - eyes - eyelashes - freckles
Picture 3: I think the most recent one that she’s shown us. It’s probably the best for reference out of all of these: - eyebrows - eyes - eyelashes - lips - nose (profile) - hair
Picture 4: Just to clean up the reference in picture two and fix my mistakes. It’s good for: - eyebrows - eyes - eyelashes - nose (forward)
What I learned through this study: Ally’s most prominent features: - lips: * very pronounced * very full * arches are important - eyes: * I thought they were blue in the last picture but they’re actually brown - Eyelashes: * long * obvious curves from the side, less so front on * important to get right - eyebrows * messy but relatively well kept * two scars (one in each) that are often accentuated in fan arts but aren’t extremely obvious in non caricatures * straight and then a sharp corner to dip * important shape - nose * slightly upwards (not prominent) * small flat area on bridge * slightly wide - face shape * dips by eyes slightly * pronounces cheeks * chin extends in some pictures (not necessary) - Hair * hairline is sharp * about shoulder length * tends to flow inwards when standing * parts hair on her right * dark at roots and tips, lighter in the middle
Hope this helps!
So helpful!!!!!!!!
I just sent you some!
