While I was browsing my Tumblr feed, someone pointed out that Invel was there when Zeref told Natsu that the latter is E.N.D. so Invel “knows” who END was. So I re-read that chapter again to confirm. And I came across with this panel...

But then again...

This got me thinking. Since Invel knows who Natsu was and what’s his connection with his emperor, Zeref, it became his objective to defeat END before Natsu (END) lay a finger on Zeref. However, it puzzles me why Invel refers Natsu as “Accursed END”. Doesn’t he think of Natsu as the prince of Alvarez because technically he is? Natsu is Zeref’s brother afterall.

Headcanon about Invel

After reading these panels, I am pretty sure that Invel the evil snowball has no effin’ idea of who E.N.D. actually is. In the last panel, E.N.D. aka Natsu Dragneel aka Zeref’s dear younger brother was dubbed “accursed” by the evil snowball,so definitely it tells me that Invel has no clue at all. So...If Invel lays a hand on Natsu, what will be Zeref’s reaction when Zeref wanted, for 400 years, to rest peacefully in the hands of his younger brother? Will Zeref kill Invel? Will he forgive since Invel is his loyal assistant? Will Zeref be in rage? In his rage, will the contradictory curse interfere his thoughts?

Ladies and gentlemen, a story about fun, family, crazy jobs, a weirdly powerful guild and adventures now turned out to be a compilation of tragic stories on love, family, ambition and self-discoveries you wish you never know. Yeah.
