10 Acceptable things in college
1) Getting drunk/ partying: Stressed about a test? Take a shot. Crying over your significant other? Take a shot. Want some fun? Take a shot. After all, the best nights are the ones that we can’t remember.
2) Wearing the same outfit multiple days in a row: Forgot to do laundry? It’s all good, your MWF people don’t know about your T/ TH life.
3) Drinking coffee: Morning, Midday or night time. Dunkins, Starbucks or dining hall coffee has you covered. Use this to start your day or finish that assignment due at midnight that you haven’t started yet.
4) Taking several naps throughout the week: At what other time in your life is taking naps going to be acceptable. Take advantage of sleep because without you can become run down and well who doesn’t love jumping into bed, snuggling under a heated blanket after an 8:15.
5) Not showering everyday: It happens, your caught up with work, clubs and other activities, but don't worry throw on some deodorant and perfume/ cologne.
6) Binge watching netflix: The office, OITNB, Friends, Shameless, That 70′s show. Trust me, once you find a show that your interested in, this will help you get through a really tough semester. Put the work aside, binge your show, laugh till your cry and come back to the work later.
7) “Finishing” a homework assignment half and hour before it’s due: Do professors even know that we take OTHER classes. A friend once told me, if you wait till last minuet then you only have a minute to do it.
8) Treating yourself: Whether it’s food, coffee, or clothes from your favorite store, treat yo self. Your main job at college is being a student and let’s face it, it can be challenging at times so your deserve it.
9) Choosing your friends: The friends you have freshman year are most likely not going to be your friends the rest of your college career. Don’t be afraid to let go of negative people in your life. There are so many people out there who are going to show you what a real friend is.
10) Loving yourself: I can’t stress this enough. You have control of your life, you are only responsible for your own happiness and nobody else. College is about finding yourself, finding what makes you happy and loving the life you live.
