If I had a nickel for every time I watched a buff himbo in his 30’s (who goes by a shortened version of his last name) realize he’s queer immediately before or immediately after surviving being on a sinking cruise ship because of another man who was also present during the sinking convincing him in under 5 minutes I’d have 2 nickels but it’s weird that it happened to Evan “Buck” Buckley from 911 and Ronald “Mac” McDonald from It’s Always Sunny.

just remembered mac and dennis share a fridge and i cant stop thinking about it. like yeah they share a fridge they share an apartment they share a life. they have movie nights and monthly dinner and tea time and board games they play together and things they bought on some flea market with a funny story attached that they never throw out even if neither of them would like it without the memories. they have laundry duty and cleaning duty and cooking duty and grocery shopping and remembering each others favorite cereal and buying something that wasnt on the shopping list just because they know the other person likes it. theyre the first person they each see in the morning and the last person they speak to before falling asleep. what the hell

rn I’m working on finishing up my AU (I got derailed for a while with the season 16 brainrot hehe) and then I have a silly one-chapter fic that I’ve been outlining and messing around with.

I am a very self-indulgent fic writer (hahah) so I’m typically just inspired by little scenes that will come into my head based on scenarios that I want to happen, and then I’ll play around with them to see how much more story needs to be told in order to get macden to a reasonable HEA from there.

I haven’t previously taken prompts; I usually just love to start with some sort of emotional problem for the two of them (either angst or more dialed-down angst if the fic is a shorter length), and then follow that journey to a point of resolution (which, yes, is heavily rooted in character studies bc I love and relate to both of their characters very deeply).

i read i am the dj two days ago and i just came here to say that i haven’t stopped thinking about it. there’s something about their characterization that you captured so well. i love when i can read a fic and hear the characters deliver the lines in my head right down to the inflection. and when i got to “well, that tracks, because you’re a fucking idiot” i died dead. can’t wait for the next chapter!
