encantador-pirata has fallen victim
Lovino huffed as he continued with his swings, trying to do more than just hope things hit and actually starting to use his brain. After all, he had always survived on quick thinking so that shouldn’t change now. And of course, the encouragement did help, making him think he had a chance to get better. At least he had gotten used to the weight of the blade so it wouldn’t be holding him down as much.
The Spanish pirate continued to praise his younger trainee as they ‘fought’. “You’re pickin’ up awfully fast!” He said with an air of pride and awe. “Great going!” He only spoke truthful words- he was actually surprised! “Now just keep going and-” He broke off as Lovino swung and hit his knee, causing his leg to buckle and him to stumble forward.
Lovino was certainly getting the hang of all this, so that was definitely a good thing. And the continued praise may have been getting to him a little. Of course, he hadn't actually planned to hit the other and was surprised that the move connected. He took a surprised step back, not sure what to do next. "Uh, you okay?"
