Answer:

I mean, how else do you react to the death of a daughter or a sister? Philip barely made it out alive—they nearly ended him right then and there. Obviously, the whole clan went into deep mourning; everyone was devastated.

Regarding Evelyn’s sister—so, in our world, many cultures had this custom where a brother, uncle, or the closest male relative would marry a widow to ensure she and the kids could actually survive. Now, flip that script and look at the position Caleb was in on the Isles...

Nobody forced him into a marriage, of course, but the clan was very keen on him staying. They’d invested way too much time, energy, and resources into this guy to just let him wander off without leaving some descendants behind.

In the end, Caleb and Caitlyn’s connection happened pretty naturally. He had zero plans to return to Earth, the whole village was grieving Evelyn together, and Caitlyn—being the eldest sister—was already the one looking after him. Eventually, it just evolved into marriage.

As for customs on the Isles? It’s pretty chill: honestly, if you’re sharing a table and eating together regularly, people basically already consider you married.

So I've heard down the grapevine you don't like vrchat avatars made of your characters. Is this true? If so, how come? I really wanted to make models of tail error and negative dream, but if you don't wish to have them made I'll respect your wishes.
