Chris Pine for Armani.
edvspvwel:
“Ew.” Edie deadpanned. Thinking about Vaeda having sex was like imagining two gummi bears together. The idea just did not mix. “We’re in a church, isn’t your whole thing to have respect for it?”
“Oh, but we have have to be cool with you and Mase bumping uglies all the time?” Angel scoffed. “Besides, I take all that Bibilcal stuff a bit more loosely. I only really pray when I need something. Anything else is my mums department.”
edvspvwel:
“You’re so lucky Vaeda values your face.”
Edie narrowed her eyes at him, though by now she should have known better than to expect a compliment from the Rogers. They were not built for niceties, even the ones that were inherently kind people, like Angel.
“Hey now, it’s not just my face. There’s definitely other parts of me that she values just as much. I’d even wager to say more.”
Edie gave a small twirl, testing out the look and feel of her new dress. She was accustomed to showing off whenever she bought something new, but given instructions, she had stayed under the radar and as close to home as possible- at least for a time.
“Thoughts? It better be praise.”
Angel looked up from his phone, only just now realizing that he was being spoken to. He opened and closed his mouth several times, mind struggling to settle on the right thing to say.
“Um. The color is...bright?”
vaeda-franco:
“Yep.” Vaeda said with a smile on her face now, her whole posture brightening instantly. “Good thing too, I was about to call your mum.”
“Well, the only thing she would tell you would be to let me just keep eating because I’m a growing boy.”
masxnwilliams:
“For the other guy.” He replied, turning on the hot water as he began scrubbing the blood away from his hands with a bar of soap. Kill, rise and repeat. It was a routine that Mason had fallen into long ago, now it was like some sort of ritual for him. “It’s not mine.”
Angel leaned against the doorway, crossing his arms as he considered his coworkers and the task at hand. Sure, Angel at times came home with some blood on him, but it almost never found it’s way past his face and knuckles. This seemed excessive.
“You know, I always thought shooting people involved less...splatter...”
Blood stained t-shirts were just a occupational hazard for Mason, but it didn’t mean he didn’t find it any less of a nuisance now than when he first started working for Captain Hook several years ago. Frowning at his reflection in the mirror, Mason pulled the t-shirt over his head, scrunching it up and tossing it into the rubbish bin below the old, cracked, leaking sink. He checked himself over quickly, some of the blood had splattered across his neck and up his forearm but as far as he could tell none of the blood belonged to him.
“Jesus Christ man,” Angel frowned, doubling back to the bathroom to make sure he saw what he thought he saw. Not that seeing Mason covered in blood was uncommon, but shit that was a lot.
“Rough day?”
vaeda-franco:
“Angel.” Vaeda said it so sternly, he couldn’t possibly pretend like she wasn’t serious. “Move before I make you. I love you and all but if you don’t, I will make the time I silent treatmented you because you ate my chocolate cake look like a picnic.”
“I still think that that was an overly-dramatic reaction to a piece of cake,” Angel munched as he scooted a bit further away from her laptop.
“That better?”
“Really? You had to eat here, you couldn’t eat anywhere else? What if you spilled something? I don’t kill people but I might have slapped you a bit.”
“You would’t dare,” Angel said through his chewing as he took another bite from his sandwich, way too near to her most prized laptop.
“You can’t hurt this face, you like it too much.”
vaeda-franco:
“I may have lost Chase and Hannah as soon as we got through the door.” Vaeda finally admitted as she sat up. Dumpling scurried off the bed, laying at Angel’s feet now that she was no longer cuddling him. “I also drank a lot of vodka and I-met-Peter-Pan.” Vaeda said the last part in the rush before pulling the blanket over her head. Perhaps it was because he was an older brother but Angel had a hell of a disappointed face.
Angel reached down as Dumpling laid at his feet, picking the pup up and holding him beneath his arm like a football while his other hand remained holding to his coffee. He stepped into the room, pulling the door shut behind him.
“I didn’t say that buddy system thing for my health, you know...”
vaeda-franco:
Vaeda cracked one eye open. “I don’t want to tell you, you’ll lock me in a closet. Yes, still not over that.”
“Do I need to go track down Edie and ask her? Because you know I’ll do that...” he stated, leaning against the doorway while he took another sip of coffee.
Vaeda heard the door creak open and she groaned. This was a damn hangover for the ages, she hadn’t drunk like that in a very long time. “No. This is not happening. I am no longer alive and I will never be alive again.” She rolled over, cuddling her dog closer to her.
“How did that buddy system work out for you?” Angel asked from the door, sipping his coffee.

Vaeda: I used your buddy system.
Vaeda: This was not meant to be sad texting. I wanted to discuss a bouncy castle party.
Angel: Where will we put it?
Text @ Angel Cakes
Vaeda: You've described 90% of my friends. You're the 10% by the way.
Vaeda: Noooooo. I'm an adult, I am responsible.
Vaeda: But you might have to come get me.
Angel: You promised me you were going to be careful.
Text @ Angel Cakes
Vaeda: You're very tree like. All tall and branchy.
Vaeda: I am having fun. I'm at the stage where everything around me is wearing a funny hat.
Vaeda: I've lost Chase but I will chase him up soon. Hehe. Get it? Hannah is somewhere too. She didn't know about alcohol. She was a smol bean. Can we adopt her?
Angel: No, she's dead behind the eyes.
Angel: Do you need me to come get you?
Text @ Angel Cakes
Vaeda: There's a such thing as cake vodka and I've had so much!
Vaeda: Also how dare you. I'm offended. I am not climbing you like a tree when I get home.
Angel: You say that now...
Angel: Are you okay? Is Chase keeping you girls safe?
