I had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting.
This Vault is UNDER CONSTRUCTION . . .
MEMES || OPENS || RULES BELOW
I am still learning about the Fallout world in general, I mostly only know the series and have only played Fallout 4. I will have alternate verses for him to branch out.
Dark themes inbound, might tag accordingly if I remember but may forget sometimes, so please tread carefully.
No godmodding, no drama, no over-complications. I am only here to write and have a good time. Mun doesn't equal muse.
Muse comes from a turbulent world and may not be the best person all the time, so curate your space accordingly. If you don't like what I write (whether in headcanons or otherwise) or anything, do what you must. THIS DOESN'T MEAN I'll force people to write things they don't feel like, but please be careful anyway.
If I send you memes you don't wish to answer, feel free to delete them. That also goes for threads or anything else. Feel comfy in your space!
If I follow, I want to write with you and will show interest, but please, also show interest if you follow back. Important to note that I don't look at the dashboard much. I do try to check things out from time to time for chances to interact, but please do not mistake my inactivity of liking posts or other similar actions with lack of interest. You also do not have to like all my posts, as long as we roleplay together, that should be enough.
If I ever unfollow and you wanted to interact, you are free to re-follow if you feel like it and I'll probably follow back.
I'm not that well-versed in smut, though I wish I was. I mean to say that my style with it can be very abstract. If you're cool with that, then we can give it a go, if it comes to that, though Norm can be peculiar about intimacy. We can also skip, fade to black, etc. (NO smut with minor muses or muns).
Can always DM me to plot out things if you like. I'm not the best with plots and I love to go with the flow, but I try my best to plan things out if needed. Can also DM me just to chat and scream about our muses, let's be friends! If you'd rather not, that's totally fine, too. This is a chill space.
I'm not sure if I'll keep this blog or not though I do love Norm. If I don't keep it and we connected as muns or with our muses, I'll just add you on my main blog or so.
I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere.
Seeing that B.arry Sl.oane will appear on House of the dr.agon like aaah fudge, gotta watch at least that season (until they off him like my sis said and broke my heart lmao) BUT ALSO this made me miss actively writing B.arry Sl.oane characters and now I'm like pls Fa.llout S3 bring B.arry into the fray, he can reunite with Wa.lton and make some awesome content together again I am begging... Idk make him the s3 big bad or minor bad. To the annoyance of peeps on twi.tter, make him a synth with the implanted memories of someone who knew Coop and Ba.rb or whatever, idk idk gimme the content pls...
As she settles on the bench, her eyes scan their surroundings for just a moment. In just a few hours, everyone would be gathered here to celebrate the most important day of Lucy's life -- or at least, that's what they called it. She wasn't sure if it would truly overshadow all of her other accomplishments. Lucy had had crushes before in the past, but nothing all-consuming, the real kind of love she saw in movies.
Would she really be able to find it in a stranger?
"I know it's how the Vaults have always done things," she's quick to add, not wanting Norm to think she would go as far as questioning the system they had in place. "I'm sure they have... a great marriage success rate!" The smile on her lips spreads so wide, it makes her face hurt. Muscle memory, really. She forgot she wouldn't be able to fool Norm so easily. "Like mom and dad," she agrees with a nod. There's not much she remembers about their mother, but she never doubted their parents' love for a second. If only she could be so lucky...
Without realizing, she lets herself sink too when her shoulders droop, defenses gone in the way that only really happens around her brother. In turn, the soft tone in Norm's voice is just as rare. He's not nearly as open with his emotions as Lucy is - she doesn't need him to be; she knows how he really feels, deep down - so it's all the more meaningful when he reassures her like this.
"Thank you." She gives his hand a gentle squeeze. "You're really good at pep talks when you put your mind to it, you know?" Tone's only a little teasing, softened expression still on her features as she holds his gaze.
And then, of course, in typical little brother fashion, he has to say something to ruin the moment. "Norm!" Even as she scolds him and gives his arm a playful shove, she's laughing, worries forgotten for just a moment. "That's not a thing. Nobody says that. Besides, that would just mean he's very well-hydrated," she counters with a knowing smile, meeting him halfway. "I think that's a great quality to have in a partner."
The spirit Lucy contains is relentless, even as she metaphorically stands at the precipice of a new, uncertain life. If it were him, he'd be visibly upset, no time to try and uphold whatever good thoughts and positivity the Vault would have prepared for these types of situations. Yet, they're both aware of that uncertainty, the nervousness she must feel, coupled with a hope she holds onto.
To her compliments, he chuckles, shrugging. "I'm only good at it because it's you I'm talking to." Were it anyone else, surely, he would say something that would make them mad, instead... But she was right, if he truly wanted to pick someone up, he'd try his best to say the right things. For now, his efforts were only used for Lucy.
There's a quiet chuckle at the shove. "I'm pretty sure it is a thing," he doubles down, despite being unable to pretend he was serious about it. "There you have it, though... Whatever his flaws may be, I'm sure you'll make the most of it."
He lifts a hand towards her, placing it on her shoulder, just to show his support a little ways more than just with words. "Whatever happens, you're not going to be alone in this. If you ever need me, for anything, I'll always be here for you. But... tomorrow is going to be great. It has to be."
Though saying that makes him wonder if the feelings Lucy was going through were a precursor to something... Some kind of sign. No, he couldn't even entertain the thought, not when it was Lucy who was possibly at stake. He had to believe.
"It's gonna be good, right?" Shoot, it's supposed to be him who gives her support, not him searching for it. "I mean, yeah. And if somehow you don't like him at all, I can help you hide. I promise. But we gotta work on a signal. Any ideas?" Though he says it as a joke, he means it.
Half human half something, raised to be a weapon of mass destruction because of her abilities, a slave crown to make her a mindless puppet was the only way to force her to kill: Terra is now free and a sweetheart who doesn't want to fight anymore.
Not unless she finds a reason for it.
Trying to figure out who she is, get her memories back, understand life, and find friends, family, and love. Here at @lovecreature!
Her canon story is adapted to all fandoms I know, so she can written as an oc! main promo is already up but this is a sneaky one to branch out <3
Terra was running as fast as she could, dirt and blood on her clothes - most of it wasn't even hers - and felt that her only chance was to hide in the weird building the word super-duper something on it.
She knew so little about life outside, still, and there was a high chance more dangerous people would be there, but she didn't have a choice, she either tried to hide or gave up now, and then she'd have to willingly kill the men after her.
No.
She slipped inside and ran to hide in between shelves, jumping out of her skin when she saw a man right there. It wasn't one of them, his clothing was different, at least.
"Please, please," she whispered her plea, a finger to her lips in a gesture she had seen a couple of times to indicate silence, hearing the doors open again. The Enclave soldiers came in, talking between themselves.
"Where is she? Are you sure she came in here?"
"No? The fu-hey, big bounty on a blondie with no armor, anybody seen her?" he asked out loud.
Terra didn't dare to look back, but she heard a small voice say no, someone she hadn't even seen near the entrance, who probably hadn't seen her either.
So this man could either save her or give her up, and the big bounty usually meant the latter. Not that they'd share it, if she knew anything about them, it was that they'd kill everyone else who had seen her.
It all happened so quick, he almost lost his footing witnessing it.
He'd seen the posters, he had seen this girl, but he had also seen these soldiers, and he knew life out in the wasteland was... not as nice as it was in the Vaults, to say the least. Giving up that strange girl to the authorities... Normally, it should be a no-brainer to bring a criminal to justice... But was she truly a criminal? He had no real way of knowing. If she was innocent, it would mean throwing her into the mercy of merciless soldiers, given the nature of the wasteland.
It felt wrong to give her up, so he didn't.
And the soldiers believe that the girl is not there, taking their leave. Norm watched as their backs turned and they all left before he could let out a sigh of relief. He waited, at least one more minute, before slowly approaching the bounty.
"Hey... It's okay now. They're gone." Was this truly the best choice? What would Lucy have done? Even that answer was unclear, right now. But, he'd follow his gut, if anything... and call it some kind of logic to make his brain stop going in circles.
"Are you okay? They were relentless, huh?" No doubt because her bounty was high... but also because of the hidden reason why her bounty was high. Oh, things aren't looking good for him, are they? But he is not about to back down now. If she is not some kind of evil mastermind, she needs help, and he'll try to provide.
"Oh." The explosion being a lie comes as no surprise, but still Lucy can't shake off the tiniest feeling of disappointment over her brother lying to her. Sure, maybe they weren't super close to the point of hanging out all the time, but she liked to believe they were above lies, at least.
Just not feeling it. Brows furrow slightly, taking in his answer. The concept is so foreign to Lucy, who tackles every challenge with vigor and excitement... but she knows Norm is not the same. In fact, they're total opposites. Where Lucy thrived in being around other people, he preferred being alone -- but surely she could change that. He just hadn't found the right things, the right people to give his enthusiasm to!
"No, silly." Lucy shakes her head, giving his arm a light, playful smack. "I just wanted to see you. Since when do I need a reason to talk to you?.
Her head turns to Sarah again, lips pressed tightly as she ponders for a moment. Lucy really doesn't want to abandon her friend, but this is important too. Maybe she could continue her interviews tomorrow, work twice as hard to make up for it!
"We can walk home together?" she suggests when she meets his gaze once more. "I'll finish these up tomorrow. And... we can talk."
There Lucy goes, just happy to talk to him out of nowhere. She remains bright and cheerful even after his little lie is exposed, his true colors shown. The fact that he doesn't want to do, well, anything, is something that does not deter her. It impulses her to try harder, help him out if he needs.
Normally, insistence would bother him. Yet, with her, he can't help but feel loved, as silly as it sounds. Though he doesn't really like similar attitudes in others, in Lucy, it fits. She is genuinely the sun, he wouldn't ever want her to be dimmed.
He could easily reject her offer, she had delivered it as a question, a chance for him to slip through the cracks... But she continues, suggesting conversation and he feels a pang on his chest telling him not to squander this. Lucy was just trying her best. So, he nods, but then tilts his head.
"Wait, weren't you busy? I wouldn't want to interrupt. Or... I guess, if I can help, I'll give you a hand. I'm... volunteering." He'll try for her, but no one else. Lucy deserved for him to go the extra mile... or the general mile, anyway.
"If you don't do these today, you'll be a whirlwind tomorrow." And that surely would be something to see, but he'd prefer for her not to overwork herself just to compensate because she chose to walk with him. He glances at the papers again, pointing at them. "So, what's this field work about?"
Okay but now I can use blond Norm for pre-crash Norm... I think post-crash would have his hair turn right back to Fal.lout color (and sadly he loses his glasses too lol)
The more she thought about it, the more she was kind of convinced that something else is going on here. Because why else would Nancy be so secretive like this, and there was kind of that whole thing with Will? That had been explained, but only kind of because that had some dead ends too. She could blame Nancy for her need to know the truth about things, but that seemed cult-ish...right?
“He does kind of look the part, huh? Plus as much as I don't want to admit it, that whole random kid dying that was Will and then it was just a random kid, seems pretty cult-ish. Definitely hiding something.” If nothing else that was at least weird even if it wasn't an actual cult thing.
She takes a breath, glancing at Norm and then chewing on her lip. “Look...Nancy hasn't exactly been all that forthcoming since Barb up and disappeared without a word to anyone. She took it really hard and then she like...I don't know. It has been weird.” She admits, wishing she wasn't having to admit there was a rift there. “I can ask, but we might want to go into the forest ourselves just to have a look around. Maybe we'll find a compound or something?”
"Yeah, you're right. That was pretty weird." Norm replies, eyes squinting the moment he thinks about that whole Will thing, who just so happens to be Jonathan's brother, too. It is all truly... strange. And the town continues moving regardless.
He was glad to know that at least Ally had questions about it as well. Just like him, she seemed determined to try and get to the bottom of this.
And now, the confession that things were different with Nancy feels like the icing on the cake... Everything was falling into place. Something was stirring and, though they don't really know what, it's been permeating slowly. It wasn't like he was friends with any of them, but... would it be so bad if he actually tried to help Ally out? He hates to think that he just wants to sate his curiosity, but he is sure that a part of him also wants to help her,... right?
"That sounds good, yeah. Seeing it all for ourselves might be the best step." But how do they go face a cult? What are they supposed to do? And is it truly wise for them both to go by themselves into the unknown? They had no other choice, he convinced himself of that, because he'd back down otherwise.
"Should we... take some weapons with us? I mean, in case they spot us and go on a frenzy or something?"
Gosh, thanks to @bettingonhouse 's threads with my Shauna (I've been having such a blast with them already aaaaa) I'm over here thinking like, imagine Norm in Yell.owjackets... Like, idk how he'd be there, but he would definitely have such a hard time in the wilderness.
Robbie may of been showing off intentionally, though he wouldnt' admit it. There was something funny about his "friendship" with Norm. Other than the obvious that he was a 'innocent' little Vault Dweller and Robbie was a mean ol Raider. Yet, without Norm's help he'd of been a goner a month ago.
Robbie turns as he looks at himself a bit in the suit and then back to Norm with a bit of a raised brow.
"Thanks...I suppose it isn't the worst..."
Oh....Ohhh....
Robbie tilts his head a bit and looks to the smaller Vault-Dweller, who one moment was complimenting him and unable to stare away from his muscles. To now reminding him of his alias, which shouldn't be too hard to remember. Hopefully. The jovial part seems accurate but Robbie doesn't wanna do it. His dark eyes squint at the other and shakes his head.
"Ronnie McCurthy...Jovial....Right.."
Robbie did not want to pretend to be Jovial. Maybe this was a bad idea. What would happen if he needed a hit? What happens if they find out who he is? Not even that he was Robert House but more importantly a Raider.
He has one accent, and he can thank Cooper fuckin Howard for it.
"Well Howdy, I'm Ronnie, I heard ya'll had a bit of a water issue, I'm from Vault 31? , Norm here helped me and now I am here to help ya'll!"
That made him feel sick, as soon as he was done testing out his personality he feels a heat rise to his cheeks out of embarrassment. There was a reason he hired a double when he was in the prewar times. A good actor at that. This was going to be hell. He rubs the back of his neck.
"Was that okay??....Also what's gonna happen If I need drugs?? I can get...Mean if I don't have my drugs Norm." He warns the other, also he is worried he's gonna need drugs due to how jovial everyone will be in the Vault. The raiders minor acting anxiety making him forget the fact that Norm was full on checking him out not but a few moments ago. Now the big bad raiders got performance anxiety. Can't let down his Vaultie who's counting on him.
Thank god he could find a way to try and distract himself, despite the way the Vault attire suited the man so well. It was almost like the world wanted to test him... Never had he felt this kind of way. Some of Lucy's comments finally made more sense to him... Not a good moment to think about stuff like this, though.
And oh shit, not only did he look great, but his acting skills seemed really good to Norm. The accent reminded him of... some old movies Lucy adores, which is a great sign on his book. It would inspire some familiarity, as it did with him.
"That was– yeah, better than okay." Better than whatever Norm could ever muster, lying was never his strong suit. With Robbie, maybe they actually had more of a chance than he thought.
"Nice accent you got there. You... watch those cowboy movies too?" He understood it was no time for sidetracking, but it made him somewhat curious... He did wish to know more about him, if possible. Though the situation he touches upon next makes him tilt his head in thought.
"I can... I can find you some. Do regular pills help? I'll give you whatever i can find around, but it's probably not gonna be as great... You still got some here? I could take some with me." A small breath is taken, noticing that he is still taking glances at the man. God, what is he, a pervert? Concentrate, Norm. And yes, he tries... Though he feels like he does not succeed entirely.
"Or... I don't know, is there any other way I can help you? Distracting you with something, maybe? I can help, whatever you need."
Life is stran.ge do.uble exposure / re.union verse for Norm is very similar to his canon. He is an apathetic student at Caledon University, Science division, just barely getting good grades because he does not try. His mentor, Moses, has tried his best to convince him to give his all during assignments and exams, but it has not worked. Norm does try to at least contribute to the investigations conducted by Moses, participating here and there or cutting class just to work at his office. This is why Moses is aware of his high potential.
This is also how Norm to know a bit about Safiya, Moses' best friend. So, when the main events of the game unfold, Norm is determined to uncover what has happened, to help his mentor back.
A little detail about him, he does not possess any special abilities/powers, but his sister Lucy does, which is why he has assumed there must be more people with either the same or similar powers... He doesn't think he has met anyone with them yet, though.

Shauna has taken over my braincell. In part because of her r.e verse but just in general she took over somehow. But I also adore Norm, so I am chipping away at stuff slowly but surely. And I thank you guys for your patience always, I love all the threads I have here!
He sounds offended, or perhaps adgitated, the idea of himself having a co-worker, as if he was the young man pulling himself up by his own bootstraps and building RobCo from scratch. He's not had co-workers in many many years. And Hank MacLean was no co-worker, more like, lacky dog.
"No. We were not co-workers. He never met me. I knew of him. And no. We did not keep in contact. I was only recently rebooted...I've been offline for the past twenty years before this past week."
He admits to the younger man.
"I knew he was in a vault, but I had my own priorities to deal with more important than whatever your father was up to in your little vault."
"Huh..." Yeah, that didn't sound so... chipper of him. The way he speaks of his father dissmisively told him everything he needed to know. Kind of a touchy subject, at best.
"Right, you don't seem to care about Vaults." Funny, since they all believed themselves to be the next step of the future. Vault Dwellers were the people who would bring about new life on the surface once the surface was habitable, ready. And yet, people were already there, they lived and they struggled and Vault Dwellers were seen not as potential aid but as weaklings. So much for all their silly structures and rules.
"You say I'm smarter than dad..." And much more likeable. "But I can't wrap my head around any of this. I want to ask him, get some clear answers, I'm sure he knows... But I have no idea where to find him, either." As Overseer, his father had to care for many things, had to know much more and, now that he was taken away, added with his pre-war existence, surely he knew more than he let on.
"I don't suppose you'd be up for helping his son find his way back to him? Maybe, you could help me find my sister? That would be enough."
