You can see them swarming like bacteria through any objects and walls, but we were unable to determine their spatial arrangement. I created some fan art inspired by @zooliminology and Hounds of Tindalos.

aleksander chuckled at the awe and confusion in the young grisha's eyes. he knew the stories outside of the little palace, that the darkling was a monstrous being. what they didn't know was that terra was also a monstrous being, according to legend and rumour. like calls to like and alexsander had searched for terra for a long time. just as much as he'd searched for alina. "i hope you found the journey pleasant."

The party getting ambushed was nothing new. Though it would get tricky at times to keep up with all that's going on at once when they're surrounded. Hakkai knew he didn't need to worry too much about Sanzo and the others, but at the moment, they'd regrettably had to drag Terra into their mess.

Steadily the number of enemies dwindled. One thing Hakkai could come to admire about their foes were their tenacity, for the remaining few showed no signs of backing down despite the bodies of their comrades falling one by one.

Then he noticed it, one of the youkai raising his crossbow hastily, aimed not at him but...

His legs moved before he could think about it. As the arrow went flying, he knew he wouldn't be able to put up a barrier in time. Thus the arrow hit its mark — into Hakkai's shoulder as he stood in front of Terra. The demon barely had a chance to rejoice before getting blown off his feet by a chi blast.

He turned to Terra then, scanning for any injuries, in spite of the arrow still lodged near his own shoulder joint, impeding some movement of his arm.

"Are you hurt?"

His brows raised. "I'd think so."

The man slowed to a stop, raising a hand over his eyes to look through the trees. After a moment, he spotted a small clearing - covered in moss and framed at one edge by a fallen tree - before turning to smile at her.

"Well. It's a good time for a break~" he hummed, waltzing off towards the space he'd seen.

With all the comfort as if he lived there, he plopped down onto the fallen tree. In that same motion, he set his bag onto the ground, continuing to hum as he sifted through it.

"What sounds better to you? Vegetables caramelized in sauce, or steamed?"

most days, traveling alongside terra is a joy; she likes the younger woman's company, her inquisitive questions. other days, eliana understands much better how people must have felt watching her when she first left vault 101. because curiosity is most endearing when verbal.

“ terra. get down, ” eliana hisses, grabbing the back of her shirt and giving it a tug. a deathclaw lumbers nearby, grunting softly, but unaware of their presence so far, hidden as they are behind what's left of a car and some brush. at another point in her life, she would have run already or taken the deathclaw head on, if she had the ammo and leeway, but she was younger then, reckless and not trying to keep anyone else alive.
