// hey guys!! decided to finish a journal entry I had started earlier and caught up with some reading I had been meaning to do for a while 📖
this is a step-by-step process that i have used for literally all of my papers in high school and college, including my ib extended essay and ia’s! it’s a way to help ensure you a good grade and to help you finish the paper without spending a whole lot of time on it.
if you have any questions or a suggestion for a post you want to see, you can message me, submit a question anonymously, or comment on any of my posts! i love helping you guys in any way that i can, school or life or anything in between, so don’t be shy!

Tips to prepare for exams
Make sure you know exactly what to study.
Learn one topic and then take a five to ten minute break. Don’t cram. Let that information settle in your brain.
Munch on your favorite snacks. You deserve it.
Take a shower after you’re done revising. I don’t why it helps but it helps.
When you’re done with a certain chapter or topic it always helps to make a small summary of it.
Cramming before an exam is a bad idea but a necessity sometimes. So when you do cram make a cup of coffee or tea, eat and study.
Listening to upbeat songs when I study helps me a lot
Start with anything you find hard. Chances are the things you find easy you’ve already studied before.
What I’ve noticed that while I study, if I write down what I’m studying, it helps me to remember it properly. So write everything down!
Never practice maths the day before an exam. Math is the most difficult subject for me so I used to try to solve several problems and just panic the night before. So nowadays I just look through the material.
Try to help a friend who doesn’t have any idea about the subject (do this only if you have studied before properly). So if you teach someone else you will understand something WAYYYYY better.
Definitely don’t make a tips for exams before the day of your exam.
i thought you guys would find this thread i wrote interesting
this is a very real problem! and unfortunately, something similar happens to people of color and adults as well. always try and tie it down to something else when, in fact, the disorder has been clearly present the whole time. it’s so damaging. newsflash: adhd is real and everyone can have it!
My girlfriend has ADHD and her sister and family deny it. I’ve supported her throughout the process of getting her medical help. Her sister told her at dinner that she doesn’t have ADHD and that she would know because she’s a teacher so I SNAPPED at her and said, “YOU ARE NOT A DOCTOR!!!” and shut her right up. You cannot diagnose or invalidate someone else’s health or experience, especially if you do not have any medical experience to make those claims.
What horrifies me most is the idea of being useless: well-educated, brilliantly promising, and fading out into an indifferent middle age.

Me:
The hardest period in life is one’s twenties. It’s a shame because you’re your most gorgeous and you’re physically in peak condition. But it’s actually when you’re most insecure and full of self-doubt. When you don’t know what’s going to happen, it’s frightening.

Just wanna put this out there: the studyblr community is getting increasingly focused on aesthetics. Aesthetic notes, perfect bullet journal spread, creative but only the perfect kind-ish? What I'm saying is that, creativity if limited to aesthetic will only stress you out and honestly, creativity is a mess. Embrace it. You can make it neat, but not having 'aesthetic' as the main focus is good as well. And I think a lot of people need to understand this, and actually support each other creativity rather than unfollow or comment nasty things just because the photo isn't taken on a white background or the pens are not 90 degree at the corner of the book or because the handwriting is too ugly or shit like that
It's already Week 10 of the semester y'all. That means finals is getting nearer. 😢
