Iām Running the Berlin Marathon in 2025!! But I need your help!
Just like the title says, ya girl will be in Germany next September to participate in one of the biggest sporting events in the world! I will be running with Team PAWS Chicago, a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
PAWS Chicago is a no kill animal shelter dedicated to providing animals with the necessary food, medical attention, and shelter in their time of need. They work tireless to help these animals get back on their feet and find their forever homes, and they receive ZERO government funding! All of the work they do is fueled by the kindness of strangers and volunteers.
Both of my pets are rescues. My cat, Jack, was lucky enough to find a foster that would take him in until my mother and I adopted him. But my dog, Cersi, was not as lucky.
Cersi came from a horrible past. She was a bait dog in a dog fighting ring, was terrified of men, and had been passed around different shelters in and outside of Philadelphia before my mom and I adopted her 8 years ago. When we did, she was skinny, sick, tired, hungry, and incredibly fearful of everything. They literally handed us a BIBLE of documents in an Apoquel branded bag when we were leaving with her. It took a really long time, but Cersi is infinitely better now than she was 8 years ago. Her kindness and sweetness shine through in every interaction. Sheās hilarious and incredibly smart, and shelters like PAWS Chicago are the only reason she was able to get a second chance at life.
I committed to raising $1,850 for PAWS Chicago before April 1st, 2025, and $3,700 before August 29th; this is where I need your help!
