The trailer for… DEVILMAN CRY BABY!!!

It seems that the animator is not copying Nagai’s art style, and is instead drawing it in his or her own art style. Some people are mad about that, I’m not really upset about it.

As long as the story is the same, I’m fine with it so far.

There are some scenes in the trailer I’m not too sure about though, but we all just have to wait and see how it will turn out.

The Original Devilman and Devilman VS. Hades Manga Official English Release!!!

Seven Seas manga has announced that they have licensed both the original Devilman manga, and Devilman VS. Hades.

The original Devilman manga will be released as a two volume hard cover omnibus titles “Devilman: The Classic Collection”, and will be released March 6th 2018.

As for Devilman VS. Hades, it will be released as one volume, and in the standard paper back cover, and will be released February 13th 2018.

Mazinger Z 2017 Update

Sorry for the long delay.

While there are no visuals yet, there has been a bit of new information since my last update.

It will be an anime movie reboot, and show in theaters.

There will also be new news regarding the film during AnimeJapan 2017, and the announcement will be made by voice actors Showtaro Morikubo and Ai Kayano. 

It is unknown who they will be doing the voices for, or even if they will be doing the voices for anyone, but considering they will be making the announcement for the film, it is possible that could be doing the voices for Koji and Sayaka

The Mazinger Z reboot event is scheduled to run from 11:35 AM - 12:15 PM JST on March 26, 2017.

Let’s hope this film makes it to Netflix like Cyborg 009 VS Devilman and Cyborg 009 Call of Justice did!

An early look at what Toei will be bringing shows that Dragon Ball Super will be making its return, having been exhibited last year. It’s joined by the new Digimon multiple media series Appmonsters (also known as Applimonster), and a new incarnation of pioneering mecha series Mazinger (credited as the one of the first internally piloted giant robots)”

So We have to wait at least until October 17th before we get new info.

Cutie Honey vs Devilman Lady Chapter 1 English

Yup, this is my next project. MORE GO NAGAI! And if you’ve got something to say about me dropping Terra ForMars for this, then you can shut the fuck up and get a good slap in the face. Ahem. Now, I remember people saying this was bad but it actually looks pretty good. Classy Nagai is what it is, if you’re a fan of his work then should find this an enjoyable read. However, it doesn’t exactly have chapters so I’ve decided to ahem cut my own chapters out of the entire thing. I hope you guys don’t mind as I really don’t want to work on the entire volume and then release it. Either way, as I progress, hopefully it should attract some more viewers than simply if I did it all in one go. Anyway, I’ve got nothing else to say so go ahead and get started. Until next time.

Despite this being a Mazinger spin off, it has several devilman designs and references, the psychic wife from Violence Jack, and even Demon Lord Dante.

It kind of seems to me more like a Devilman spin off where Mazinger crossed over. I'm seeing very little of the whole greek god theme that mazinger has.

Its sill awesome though!

hey, do you know who are the assistants who worked on devilman lady ? im pretty sure ken ishikawa did a lot of stuff. judging by the artstyle i think go nagai only drew a few things (like the main characters) and left everything else for his assistants

Sorry I do not know, but it is possible, him and Ishikawa worked on series together even up to the early 2000s, he even still did assistant type work still, but I'm not sure if he was involved in Devilman Lady or not.
