⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ THE WORLD HAD NEVER felt so quiet.
It was a strange, suffocating silence that pressed down on Tony Stark as the battlefield stretched out before him, reduced to rubble, ash, and despair. The wind carried nothing but dust, and in that dust, he could see the remnants of everyone he had fought so hard to save.
He stood there, frozen, as Peter crumbled in his arms.
"Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good," Peter had whispered, fear etched into every syllable. Tony had held him tighter, hoping to keep him here, hoping that somehow, this wasn’t real. But Peter’s body had turned to dust in his hands, slipping away, just like everything else in Tony’s life.
Now, Tony was left holding nothing, his mind still screaming, No, not him. Not Peter.
But it wasn’t just Peter.
From the corner of his eye, Tony saw you—stumbling, your legs shaky, like the very earth beneath you had begun to give way. His heart clenched, a sickening panic rising in his chest.
"Kid," Tony rasped, rushing to you. He dropped to his knees just in time to catch you before you fell. His hands clutched your arms, and then pulled you into his chest, holding you close. "No, not you too. Not you. Please."
You were his family, the one he'd found when the world had been just as dark as it felt now. He remembered that day so clearly—stumbling upon a Hydra base, expecting only weapons or enemies, but finding you. A scared seven-year-old, huddled inside a small cabinet, shaking uncontrollably, clutching a teddy bear that was too worn to offer any comfort. You had flinched when he tried to reach for you, pushing yourself deeper into that small space, as if the shadows could protect you.
"It's okay," he had whispered back then, voice gentle, soft, as if speaking too loudly would break you. It had taken time—God, so much time—but you'd eventually come out, and Tony had made a silent promise. He would protect you, no matter what.
But now, he was failing. Again.
Tony felt your body tremble against him as you fought to stay, to hold on. But you couldn't. He saw it in your eyes, the same way he'd seen it in Peter's just moments before. He couldn't lose you. Not you. Not the kid he raised, mentored, cared for more than he ever let on.
You looked up at him, your face pale, your breaths shaky, and tears welled up in your eyes—tears that you were desperately trying to hold back. Tony knew you didn’t want him to see you break. You didn’t want him to see the fear, because if you broke, then Tony would break too. And he couldn’t. He couldn’t lose you. Not like this.
You offered him a small, fragile smile. A smile meant to comfort him, even though you were the one slipping away. "It's gonna be okay," you whispered, your voice barely a breath. "You’ll find a way... I know you will."
Tony shook his head, his voice cracking as he mumbled, "No, no, no, don't... don't do this." He held you tighter, like somehow holding on would keep you here. "You're gonna be fine. I’ll fix this. I’ll fix everything, just—please." His voice broke into sobs that he couldn’t control.
You lifted a trembling hand to his cheek, wiping away a tear. Your smile faltered, but it didn’t fall. "Tony... it’s okay," you whispered.
You reached up, your hand shaking, and touched his face. Tony’s breath caught in his throat as he felt the warmth of your skin, the way your fingers trembled as if even that small movement was too much.
Tony shook his head violently, his throat burning as he held back the sobs that threatened to tear out of him. "No, don’t... don’t say that. You’re gonna be fine, you hear me? You have to be fine."
But even as he said it, he felt you slipping away. The trembling in your body started to ease, but not because you were calming down. It was because you were fading.
The tears welled in your eyes, but you didn’t let them fall. You didn’t want to cry. You didn’t want to make this harder for him. But Tony could see the truth—you were scared. You didn’t want to die.
You took one last shaky breath, your hand dropping from his face as your body began to dissolve, turning into dust that slipped through Tony’s fingers.
"Please," Tony begged, his voice raw, broken. "Please, don’t go."
But it was too late. You were already gone.
Tony knelt there, in the ruins of the world, staring at the empty space where you had been just moments before. His mind was spinning, his heart torn apart by the loss. First Peter. Now you. The two kids who had given him hope, the ones he’d sworn to protect, were gone. And he had failed.
He pressed his hands to the ground where you had been, his body shaking uncontrollably. The battlefield was quiet again, but this time it was unbearable. It was the silence of everything he had lost, everything he could never fix.
Tony could still hear your voice in his head, the last words you had spoken to him echoing in the hollow space of his heart.
"It’s okay."
But it wasn’t. None of this was okay. You were gone, and he couldn't protect you. He couldn’t stop this, and now you—his kid—were nothing but ash scattered in the wind. The weight of it all—the failures, the loss, the utter powerlessness—was crushing.
Tony buried his face in his hands, shaking uncontrollably. The tears wouldn’t stop, not now. Not when the one person who trusted him, believed in him, was gone.
All those years ago, you had been a broken, terrified child hiding in a cabinet, and Tony had promised to keep you safe. He had failed.
Being a teenage Avenger wasn’t easy. Not just because of the adrenaline of the missions, but because you were constantly reminded that, despite having powers, you were still human. Your telekinesis was powerful, but it drained you quickly, and every time you used it, your body paid the price: you felt like you were about to collapse, your head felt heavy, and worst of all, your nose would start bleeding. You always had to be careful, but missions didn’t wait, and you couldn’t be left behind.
Today, you woke up with a weight on your chest, like something was about to happen. You were nervous, but didn’t know why. Something felt off.
You went down to the kitchen. The team was there, joking around as always, but there was tension in the air. Clint and Sam were chatting with laughter, Wanda stared into space with that thoughtful look she had when she sensed something, and Natasha was sitting near the counter, arms crossed, watching you.
“Morning, kid,” Clint greeted, raising his hand like always.
“Did you sleep?” Sam asked with a teasing smile.
You forced a smile, but it didn’t last. The discomfort wrapped around you like a blanket. You knew something was about to happen.
Natasha didn’t say a word, but her gaze was enough. She always understood you. That’s when she stood up, walked over, and gently touched your chin with her fingers, as if trying to make sure everything was alright.
“маленькая, everything okay?” she asked in her soft but firm tone, like always.
You wanted to lie, but you couldn’t. You just shook your head. She said nothing more, just looked deep into your eyes, knowing you weren’t okay.
---
The mission didn’t start any differently than the others. The Quinjet flew smoothly, and the team moved with precision. Steve was leading, Wanda and Sam covering the flanks, and Natasha close to you. But something in the air told you this time would be different.
“You can stay if you want. This is just a recon mission,” Steve said, looking over his shoulder.
“I’m going,” you replied without thinking. You couldn’t stay behind, not now. That feeling in your chest told you that you had to go, that something was going to happen, and you couldn’t miss it.
Natasha looked at you, then at Steve, then back at you, with a mix of worry and understanding.
“Alright, but if things get complicated, you come back with us. Okay?” she said, her tone protective.
You nodded, though deep inside you already knew what was going to happen. You didn’t want to stay behind, even though you knew this would be bigger than you imagined.
---
When you arrived at the building, things started to go wrong. It was a desolate place, cracked walls and broken windows. You entered cautiously, keeping formation. Everything seemed calm… too calm.
Suddenly, a loud bang. The explosion was so strong you barely had time to react. The sound of metal crashing, walls collapsing, and dust filling the air surrounded you. You hit the ground. You didn’t feel the impact, but you knew something had gone terribly wrong.
The pain came after. It was sharp, intense. A piece of metal had pierced your abdomen, and the blood started to flow rapidly. You fell to the ground, screaming in silence from the pain surging through your body.
Desperate, you tried to move the metal with your powers—with your telekinesis—but it was useless. The strain of using your abilities drained you much faster than expected. It felt like a knife in your head, and your nose began to bleed heavily, staining your hands red. Your vision blurred. You couldn’t think straight.
You tried to breathe calmly, but the air escaped you. Fear paralyzed you, and every time you tried to move, the pain grew worse.
You heard footsteps approaching. It was Natasha. She reached you before anyone else, her eyes filled with worry and rage. She immediately knelt beside you, and without saying a word, held you firmly.
“маленькая, no… no, you can’t do this to me,” she said, her voice breaking.
She looked at you with those eyes full of concern, but you weren’t sure how much longer you could hold on. Your body wasn’t responding. The blood kept flowing, and the anguish made you feel even weaker.
You tried to speak, but the words failed you. All you could manage were fragments.
“I knew it…” you whispered, barely audible.
Natasha, her face twisted in anguish, tried to do something, but the situation was worse than she thought. She caressed your face, a futile attempt to comfort you. You felt the pressure of her fingers on your skin, but there was nothing that could stop what was happening.
Fear consumed you. You felt small, vulnerable. A trembling sigh escaped your lips.
“I don’t want to go…” you said, shaking, as tears streamed down your face, uncontrollably. The pain and fear made you feel so fragile, like you were a little girl again.
Natasha looked at you firmly, shaking her head.
“Don’t say that,” she murmured, her voice breaking. “You’re going to be okay. You’ll get through this.”
But deep down, you knew it wasn’t true. The pain, the fading sensation, the weight of despair… everything told you your time was running out. Your strength was leaving you.
---
Everything around you grew darker. That’s when you heard the sound of the Quinjet approaching. You couldn’t move your eyes quickly anymore, but the Avengers were close, very close.
You saw Tony and Steve running toward you, Natasha still holding you, her hands gripping yours tightly.
“Where is she?!” Tony shouted, his voice torn.
“She’s losing a lot of blood!” Natasha screamed, looking at Tony desperately.
But it was Friday, Tony’s AI, who broke the silence with her cold, calculated words:
“Patient’s vital signs are critical. Abdominal wound is losing blood rapidly. Condition is extremely grave, Mr. Stark.”
Friday’s voice sounded like a death sentence. And as Tony and Natasha looked at each other, their faces reflected a sorrow they couldn’t hide. Tony clenched his teeth, trying to stay calm.
And then, with one last effort, you said through sobs, barely audible:
“I’m scared…” and your tears overflowed, making you feel smaller than ever. It was as if all the fear you felt made you weaker, like all the pain reduced you to a terrified little girl.
Before you could say anything else, darkness completely enveloped you. But just before losing consciousness, you felt a warm hand holding yours. Natasha was still there, looking at you with those eyes that had always given you comfort, now filled with sorrow.
“Shh… it’s okay, маленькая,” Natasha whispered, her voice warm but sad. She knew you weren’t going to survive this, but she kept holding your hand tenderly, giving you the calm you needed in that final moment. “It’s all right. You don’t have to be afraid. I’m here.”
And with those words, the fear vanished. Darkness enveloped you completely.
Jax was upset, more so than usual. And the reason was simple, the two of you had gotten into an argument and now, you were giving him the silent treatment. Despite his abrasive personality, he hated arguing with you, but he was terrible at apologizing. So now he was just staring at you from a distance as if that was going yo magically fix things.
"Wow, you really screwed up this time" Zooble commented, a slight hint of amusement in their voice. Jax looked over at them for a moment, eyes narrowed in annoyance, but for once, he didn't throw a sarcastic comment back at her. It was unusual behavior for him, and everyone noticed. Jax looked back at you, a frown on his face. Your back was facing him and your arms were crossed. He couldn't see your face but he knew you had an angry expression on your face. He had been trying to apologize for a while now, but he had always been terrible at apologies.
Jax walked away from Zooble and went back to his room, hoping he could find a way to distract himself, though he really missed your company.
Jax had enough. He was going to apologize to you, he would set aside his pride because he did care about you. He found you sitting outside of the tent, and he took a deep breath.
"Hey" he spoke, his voice hesitant. You didn't respond, but he didn't let that stop him. He sat down next to you as a tense silence settled between the two of you. You glanced at him for only a short moment, still not speaking.
"Look, i'm really sorry" Jax finally spoke up, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. The words came out more awkward than he had hoped.
"I know i can be an asshole, but I didn't mean what I said" he continued. He looked over at you, holding his breath. He was silently hoping you would stop ignoring him, that you would forgive him. At first, you didn't move, and Jax began to lose hope. Perhaps he really had ruined things for good, but suddenly, he felt your arms wrap around him, making his eyes go wide as you pulled him into a hug. And despite not being used to physical affection, Jax melted into it. A soft smile spread across his face, something only you had seen before. He returned the hug, relief washing over him.
"You're lucky I love you" you spoke in a soft voice. Jax couldn't help but chuckle,
"Yeah, I am." He replied as the two of you stayed in each others arms.

You were just a random human that had the audacity to call the Great Malleus Draconia by a silly little nickname, instead of the Great Malleus Draconia, like everyone should address him. But the worst part was that his Liege was not bothered at all by this. No, you became a close confidant to Malleus without even trying. Which may or may not make Sebek feel jealous because he wanted to be there looking at gargoyles in the middle of the night with Malleus and be the one he confided in.
But it wasn’t him. It was you. It was always you.
Sebek didn't want anything to do with you, but you soon began to show up everywhere he was. Silver invited you to the Equestrian Club. Lilia thought it was a great idea to bring you to Diasomnia. At lunch, you were now sitting across from him. And everything about you annoyed Sebek. So much so that he found himself thinking about you when he was lying in his bed at night instead of Malleus's greatness.
Everyone loved you, but Sebek could only see someone unremarkable with the tendency to cause trouble. He was surprised when he found himself laughing at something you said. Genuinely laughing. He did not expect you to be funny at all. Seems that even humans could make good jokes.
Eventually, Sebek had grown used to your presence. Which did not mean he liked having you around! But then you did something that completely caught him by surprise again. You gifted him a present for his birthday. Not only was he surprised that you actually remembered and got him something, but that your present was a most thoughtful one, he liked very much.
After that, something within him changed. He felt strange when you were near. There was a warmth that both confused and unsettled him. Sebek wasn’t used to feeling vulnerable, and yet your presence stirred a softness he hadn’t anticipated. Whenever you spoke, his guard momentarily dropped, revealing a part of himself he rarely showed to anyone.
Now, instead of being annoyed with Silver for inviting you to the Equestrian Club, he felt himself looking forward to seeing your face when he rounded the corner to the stables. And felt his heart drop when you weren't there. During lunch, he made sure to save you one of the egg sandwiches you liked so much and that were always gone, even if it meant scaring a few other students away.
He even looked after Grim for you. It wasn’t even that Sebek was simply tolerating the task. No, he put his everything into keeping your cat companion safe and behaved. Because no matter how irritating Grim was, it was still clear to everyone that there was a strong bond between the two of you. So it was a great honor that you entrusted him with something so close to your heart.
Sebek didn’t fully understand what was happening to him. The cold certainty with which he had dismissed you before was now replaced by a quiet, persistent pull he couldn’t deny. An urge to be near you, to protect you, to make you smile. Yet, embarrassment clenched his chest every time those feelings surfaced. It was confounding and, frankly, infuriating.
So, in conflict with his emotions, he one day asked Silver what all of this meant and what he was supposed to do now. But Silver just told him that if it felt good to be with you, then he should just spend more time with you. Sebek was sure that Silver was also half asleep during that time.
But by the time Sebek decided what to do, it was too late.
Sebek could still remember that one night vividly. And how his heart shattered into a million pieces.
The night began not too differently from many others. While it was his and Silver's knightly duty to stay close to Malleus and protect him, the fae prince often sneaked off alone.
Sebek followed the hint he got from someone, who claimed they thought they saw Malleus near one of the old ruins on campus. Sebek was very offended that the person could not answer his question with certainty. After all, everyone should be able to detect Malleus regal presence from miles away.
But what Sebek saw, after entering the ruin, made him forget everything about his outrage towards the student.
Sebek’s breath caught in his throat, his chest tightening as he stepped quietly into the shadowed corridor of the ruin. The soft glow of Malleus’s presence was unmistakable, yet what truly stole Sebek’s focus was the sight of you, standing close to the prince. A closeness so intimate and natural that it sent a pang of something unfamiliar twisting through him.
Malleus’s hand was resting gently on your shoulder, his eyes fixed on you with a softness that Sebek had never seen before. The usual grandeur and unyielding authority melted away in this private moment, replaced by a quiet tenderness that made Sebek’s heart ache in a way he couldn’t understand. You smiled up at Malleus, and the prince’s smile in return was like a secret gift, meant only for you.
For a long while, Sebek had wished to be as close to Malleus as you were. But now he realized in that moment he wanted to be in Malleus's place. To be the person you looked up to like this, like he was your entire world. To be the person who gets to see your vulnerability and protect it from ever being hurt again.
But it wasn’t him. It was Malleus. It was always Malleus.
Sebek lingered in the shadows, every breath weighted like lead in his chest. He should have turned away the moment he realized what he was witnessing. It felt wrong to stay, to intrude on something sacred and fleeting. But his feet were rooted to the moss-covered floor. He couldn’t look away.
Sebek’s breath caught again, just as you gently reached up and touched Malleus’s cheek. The fae prince leaned into your hand with a softness so uncharacteristic of the regal, composed figure Sebek knew. There was a glow in Malleus’s eyes. Not from his magic, but from something warmer, eternally gentler.
Then, Malleus lowered his head just slightly, lips brushing yours in a kiss that was achingly slow and reverent, as though he feared you might vanish if he wasn’t careful. His hand slid from your shoulder to the curve of your jaw, holding you close like you were treasure. His fingers trembled, barely perceptible, but Sebek saw it. Felt it like a blow.
When Malleus pulled away, he lingered near your face, forehead resting against yours as he whispered something so low, Sebek almost didn’t hear it.
"You have a light that brightens even the darkest places. To be near you is to feel the threads of fate weaving a beautiful tale. One I hope will never end," he murmured. "With you, I am whole. Where you go, I follow. Always."
"You don’t have to follow. Because I plan to stay by your side. Always," you answered, with that beautiful smile and blushing cheeks, that would have made even the most cynical person melt.
Sebek’s insides twisted painfully. That smile. He’d seen it before. It brought warmth to even the coldest Diasomnia mornings. He'd caught himself thinking, foolishly, naively, that perhaps, someday, you would smile like that… for him.
His fists clenched uselessly against his sides, trembling with the effort of holding himself together.
The ruins felt suddenly suffocating, as if centuries of stone and moss had closed in on him. Sebek’s pride, his knightly devotion, all the certainty that had sustained him, splintered beneath the weight of a feeling he could barely name: heartbreak.
Sebek finally found it in himself to tear his gaze away. He turned to leave but then accidentally kicked a stone away, causing a noise that alerted both Malleus and you to his presence.
Sebek’s heart stopped for a moment as both of you turned toward the sounds of the disturbance. The tender, intimate moment shattered like fragile glass. He felt like all of this wasn’t real until Malleus's voice cut through the darkness, reminding Sebek that everything was in fact real.
"Sebek," Malleus said. His voice was firm but not unkind. "What are you doing here?"
Sebek bowed his head slightly, swallowing hard. "My apologies, my Liege. I... I thought you might be in danger. Someone said they saw you here."
Before Sebek could make things worse, Silver came rushing into ruin. "Sebek, wait. Malleus is-" Silver stopped mid-sentence when he saw that he was too late. "I told you we aren’t needed tonight."
Silver might have said something like that when Sebek stormed off. Did that mean Silver knew? Did everyone know? Was it only lost on him how close his Liege and you were?
Sebek felt a wave of shame crashing down on him, paired with the hurt and jealousy he felt; his heart might actually rip in two. He could only hear faintly when Silver apologized on his behalf for the disturbance, to which Malleus simply said that it was fine. Sebek's eyes fell onto you. You were standing there still close to Malleus, but no longer touching him. Your eyes were wide and filled with embarrassment.
Silver approached him. "Sebek, let’s-"
Sebek didn’t wait for Silver to finish his sentence. He just ran off into the woods. The forest was thick with shadows, and Sebek stumbled through it, not caring where he was going. The sting in his eyes blurred his vision, and he hardly noticed the way the brambles tugged at his uniform or the wetness that seeped into his sleeves as he pushed past ferns and branches.
He couldn’t even wish for a chance to have realized his feelings sooner and confess to you before Malleus, because that would mean he would steal away his Liege's chance of happiness. Malleus was his Liege, his prince, and Sebek’s duty was to protect him, not to compete with him for affections he could not fight for.
And, of course, given the chance, who wouldn’t choose Malleus Draconia as their partner? Sebek knew how great Malleus was.
Yet now, here he was, faced with a painful truth: the very person he had come to care for had already given their heart to Malleus. A heart that Sebek never could steal.
Even if Sebek dared to hope, dared to imagine himself standing alongside you, he knew in his bones that it would be a betrayal of Malleus. The very person he had sworn unwavering loyalty to and to protect.
What right did he have, really? To take from Malleus even a sliver of happiness, when it was clear the prince’s light shone brightest with you? Sebek clenched his fists, the weight of loyalty and love pressing in on him from all sides. How could he let himself want something that Malleus had already claimed?
HEARTLABYUL'S HOUSEWARDEN, RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS, created a secluded rule that was never officially put forth in the Queen of Hearts' formal rulebook. The rule would be applied only during unbirthday parties in the Heartslabyul dormitory, where you are (unknowingly) permitted to have your preferred pastries or sweets served only to you, while the other students must settle for the standard fare. Of course, any modifications that you wish to make from your palette are keenly tracked by Riddle himself, ensuring that your tastes are always catered to during these gatherings.
SAVANACLAW'S HOUSEWARDEN, LEONA KINGSCHOLAR, had given you exclusive access that no one else in his dormitory had ever received before, disturbing him without consequences that could bring a lifetime of humiliation. To the oblivious eyes, the whole ordeal may be treated as trivial, but to those who have explicitly known the mighty beast, it's a golden opportunity to enjoy a rare privilege. You can bother him anytime you want, even if it's the stupidest thing in humankind, and he will never bat an eye and will willingly give you his undivided attention without question.
OCTAVINELLE'S HOUSEWARDEN, AZUL ASHENGROTTO, is a businessman who is familiar with the rulebook of satisfying his customers, especially those that are considered valuable to the Mostro Lounge. Recently, a new extension to the campus cafe was secretly implemented, and only one lucky customer is authorized to enjoy the exclusive benefits it offers. A private dining area with personalized and first-priority service and a specially curated menu that complements your palate awaits you. Surprisingly, the merman is gracious enough to deduct the costs of your meal from your total bill, transitioning it into special discounts and perks for being a preferred patron.
SCARABIA'S HOUSEWARDEN, KALIM AL-ASIM, is the epitome of generosity. True to his nature, he is happily inclined to deposit a heaping amount of allowance money into your bank account every month, ensuring that you are well taken care of and never have to worry about financial constraints! He's beaming every time a notification shows the number of items you've purchased with the money he gave you. If that wasn't enough, he would casually permit you to have exclusive entry into most of his prized belongings, for instance, like ancient artifacts or rare jewelry that could only be accessed by a select few.
POMEFIORE'S HOUSEWARDEN, VIL SCHOENHEIT, often never keeps the surplus of beauty products he sponsored for himself due to cluttering his own living space, instead opting to deliver the products that match your complexion and personal preferences directly to your doorstep. Whenever he was away to do shooting, regardless of how busy he was, he would often strictly instruct you to have a video call with him to assist you on how to properly use the products, ensuring that you achieve the desired results. There are some occasions when he would drag you to have beauty appointments with him and receive personalized treatments from his favorite aestheticians, all in an effort to help you look and feel your best.
IGNIHYDE'S HOUSEWARDEN, IDIA SHROUD, never dared to let anyone enter his room. However, the whole world has to hold its breath when you are given the green light to freely enter and exit his room whenever you want. At any time you visited him, his once messy room had gradually transformed into a meticulously organized space, which was a surprise change that only you seemed to be able to bring out in him. As if you weren't lucky enough, during gaming sessions, he sometimes lends you his account that he has spent years building up, giving you access to rare items and exclusive content that you could never obtain on your own.
DIASOMNIA'S HOUSEWARDEN, MALLEUS DRACONIA, knows a character with a sincere heart when he sees one. From the several interactions you had with him, he only knows goodness emanates from you, as you always treated him as an equal rather than just a royal heir, which left an impression on him. To reward your kindness and genuine nature, Malleus has decided to bestow upon you a special curse that may aid you in your future adventures. This curse will grant you his eternal protection and guidance, ensuring that no foolish foes are able to harm you as long as you carry his mark on your skin.

Scary dog privileges (Twisted wonderland x fem reader)
When someone decided to mess with you, your boyfriend won't let it slide.
Riddle
Before the person in front of you can strike, a loud voice cuts through the air.
"Off with your head!" A collar appears around the boy's neck. Riddle appears beside you, wrapping an arm around your waist in a protective manner. He glares at your attacker, eyes filled with rage.
"You dare attack her, it's off with your head!"
Deuce
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" Deuce shouts as he appears next to you. There's an angry glare on his face. He has his hands clenched into fists so tight that his knuckles are beginning to turn white. He steps forward, ready to start a fight with the student despite trying to keep a good reputation. You have to hold him back to prevent him from doing anything rash.
Leona
"What's going on here?" Leona's voice cuts through the tense air as you back up, bumping into him. He wraps an arm around your waist, glaring at the student who was bold enough to try and attack you. His voice remains calm, but there's an underlying hint of anger in his words. The student he's glaring down at begins to stutter out some sort of explanation, but nothing comes out.
"Leave, before I change my mind" your boyfriend growls and the student runs off looking fearful.
"You ok?" Your boyfriend asks, pulling you closer.
Jack
You feel Jack's arm wrap around your shoulders, pulling you closer to his body in a protective manner. He glares directly at the student who dare attack you.
"Get out of here" he demands. And without another word, the student runs off.
Floyd
Floyd appears behind the student, a sadistic smirk on his face as he places a hand on his shoulder. There's a dangerous glint in his eye as he stares down at them.
"You shouldn't have done that" he warns as the student lets out a startled gasp. That's all they can do as Floyd handles them his way.
Jade
"What's going on here?" Your boyfriend's calm yet dangerous voice cuts through the air. He's got his usual smile on his face, though there's a very dangerous glint in his eyes. He may not be a wild as his brother, but he won't tolerate anyone messing with you. He stands in front of them, staring down at them. He doesn't say another word as he deals with the student.
Vil
"You have some nerver..." Vil speaks, venom filling his voice. He crosses his arms over his chest as he stands next to you in a protective manner.
"Especially for a plain potato like you" he comments, staring down at the person with a judgmental stare. He doesn't need to use violence to teach the student a lesson, his words hold enough bite to scare them off.
Epel
Epel matches up to the student who dared to attack you, arms crossed over his chest as he glares at them. He may not appear intimidating, but he doesn't back down easily.
"I'll teach you to mess with her!" He doesn't hesitate to throw a punch, not when it comes to keeping you safe.
Rook
Rook doesn't need to get close to keep you safe. He simply watches from a distance. Before the student can get close to you an arrow fly's right by the student's head and lands in a nearby tree. That's all the student needs to get the hint. They run off and Rook smiles, proud of himself.
Malleus
The moment the student tries anything, the weather changes. Thunder rumbles and lightning strikes as Malleus appears next to you with a dark look in his eyes.
"You dare attack her?" He asks in a menacing voice. The student looks terrified as he runs off.
“Please, accept this small token of love, Y/n,” a higher-up military officer smiled at the girl as he presented a handcrafted wooden hairpin.
Not to be rude, Y/n accepted the gift with a smiling face, not knowing the true meaning of the gift. Maybe it is a consolation prize for everyone, she thought to herself.
Walking back to Lady Gyokuyou and her ladies-in-waiting, she smiled at them. Jinshi was also there, chatting with the concubine with his ever-present smile, but his eyes seemed to be searching for someone.
“Greetings, Jinshi-sama,” Y/n called out to him.
When their eyes met, Jinshi was awestruck. Maybe he was too accustomed to seeing the girl in her usual working attire that he had never imagined her to look so breathtaking in the official clothing of a lady-in-waiting for a concubine. If he was frank, she had the beauty befitting a queen. His queen.
“Y/n…”, he whispered, stepping closer to the girl. “You look…gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.” He had said when he placed a kiss on the back of her hand.
A deep crimson flushed across Y/n’s cheek, taking her hand away from the man. “Thank you, Jinshi-sama.” Excited squeals could be heard from the coworkers. Even Lady Gyokuyuo had giggled.
“Oh! I have something to give you, Y/n,” Jinshi declared taking out a beautifully handcrafted silver hairpin. “I got it customized for you. Do you like it?”
Y/n’s eyes had widened including the people around her. “Jinshi-sama, you are too kind. You should not do such things for a mere servant like me.”
Jinshi gently placed a hand on Y/n’s chin, lifting her to meet his gaze. “Whoever said you are a mere servant, Y/n? you know how much you mean to me,” He whispered taking the pin and gently putting it in her bun.
“Meet me at midnight, darling.”
Even if the last part was whispered too close to Y/n’s ear, the people around the two could guess, if not tell, what was told.
“I should take my leave then, Lady Gyokuyuo,” Jinshi bowed giving a smile to the ladies in the back, and walked away, his robes flowing behind him.
As soon as he left, the ladies all surrounded Y/n asking her all sorts of questions, Some appropriate, some not so. The poor girl could only blush and nod until Lady Gyokuyou dispersed the small crowd.
“You have already broken our promise, Y/n. You are not mine alone,” she smiled patting the girl’s head.
The poor girl could hardly wait till nightfall. All the things that could happen when she’d be alone with the head Eunuch of the Rear Palace filled her heart with excitement and adoration.
The two grew closer when when Y/n was appointed as the new apothecary and taster for Lady Gyokuyuo. At first, Y/n had been wary of Jinshi. Avoiding him around the Jade Pavilion, turning down his flirtatious approaches. But maybe it was all decided up in heaven that the two would fall for each other. None of the two could tell when it happened, and before the knew it, they were head over heels for the other.
The two would be seen together more frequently than Gaoshun would like but it wouldn’t be entirely inncorrect to say that he was indeed happy to his master finally smiling. He had seen many women break the young master’s heart, or even just use him. Jinshi had forgotten how to smile. He did but it was all a façade. But when he fell for Y/n, it was all changed. Jinshi would smile and giggle to himself much like a teenage girl in love, She has made him feel again.
When the time came, a soft knock was heard on the girl’s door. Y/n almost tripped and fell to open the door if it was not for Jinshi who held her in his arms. “Be careful, Y/n. I wouldn’t want my darling to fall.”
Blushing, Y/n stepped back. “Excuse me. Shall we go?” she smiled to which Jinshi held out his hand for her.
The two walked around the empty gardens of the Rear Palace. It was truly beautiful to walk under the moonlit sky with your lover. The two barely talked, not wanting to disrupt the peace, their presence next to the other was worth more than mortal speech could describe.
They decided to sit atop the wall that surrounded the Palace, Y/n sitting before Jinshi, his arms holding her close. “You’re so warm, Y/n,” Jinshi snuggled closer to her making Y/n smile.
“Oh you know, Jinshi-sama. I was given a consolation prize by a nice Officer today,” Y/n spoke, playing with her lover’s hair.
“Consolation prize?”
“Yes. This gentleman gave me a beautifully handcrafted wooden hairpin. It truly is pretty.”
Although it was too subtle, but Jinshi’s hold against Y/N’s waist grew a bit tighter. “Yeah? And does my darling like it better than mine?” His voice was a bit more stern.
Y/n was quick to notice the change and giggled. “Are you jealous, Jinshi-sama?”
Even if he was facing her back, Y/n could tell that Jinshi was blushing. “And what if I am? Do you expect me to be okay with someone else trying to take what belongs to me? I’ve actually grown tired of men always pursuing you, Y/n. You being pretty as you are is a curse and a blessing, really.”
Y/n giggled at Jinshi complaining like a kid. To her, this Jinshi was his trueself. A big child.
“Once they know that I am with Jinshi-sama, they would stop approaching me. I think you should stop worrying about them, .” She smiled, pecking his lips.
Jinshi sighed deeply. “There is nothing more I want than announcing my marriage with you, my love. If only...”
And those unsaid words would come true sooner than they would know. It would only be a month’s wait till Jinshi could call Y/n “My Wife”, and Y/n could call him “My Husband,” in front of everyone.
It was all a game of patience. A game they were bound to win.
Sum: You sneakily eat some poison. Jinshi finds you in such bliss. Why he tryna ruin the fun?
You scurried to the pharmacy and shut the door behind you in a hurry. “Hello doc are you here?!” Silence. With that confirmation you squeal loudly as you walk over to your workbench, hands shaking, excitement all throughout your body as you pull out the small herb that you found along your daily morning walk around the rear place.
“Ooooh ohmygodohmygodohmygod. I can’t believe I actually found you. Oh what a sweet treat you’ll beeee” the herb was infact poisonous but only if taken in such a large amount. If consumed just a little the most you’ll get is a delicious sting; like really sour candy plus a bee sting. Insane right? “Okay I’ll just crush you up here..” a slight rustle against the door stopped you in your grinding tracks but started again once the coast was clear, along with the evil giggles.
“Off to the pharmacy master jinshi?” Goashun already knew the answer since that’s exactly where the purple haired eunuch was walking in the direction of. “Yes I am I need to speak with the apothecary about something important” Goashun rolled his eyes and sighed “I’m sure you do master”
Ooh just look how beautiful you are my sweet tangy little treat” you bounced on your feet giggling. The “treat” in question was now made into tea. The sweet smell and warm aroma wouldn’t make anyone think the wiser. It looks like a perfectly normal cup of oolong tea. Just in case things went wrong (which you secretly wanted it to) you also made a cup that will nullify the effects and maybe leave you with a sore throat for the next couple days. No biggie.
“Okay my precious come to mama” just as the glass touched your awaiting lips, just as a small amount of the delicious lethal warm tea slide down your throat.
the door opened.
“Oh apothecary” he sang “are you in he-“ jinshi was cut off mid sentence by the scene in front of him and goashun. You were laying on the ground with eyes twinkling like stars, a little drool and mumbling about. “What is going on here?!!”
“Soooogoood” you slurred. The two men rushed over to you jinshi cradling your head. “What’s the matter with you!” He was trying not to show how much he was freaking out but dammit he couldn’t help it. “Master! Look at this!” He pointed to the spilled over tea cup. Both men looked at each other then you then it hit them at the same time
“DID YOU DRINK POISION?!!!”
All you did was giggle.
“FIND SOMETHING to make her throw up NOW!” Jinshi yelled sitting you up more. While goashun did that he stuck two fingers down your throat making you cough and spit up. “Here master use this!” He brought over the bottle that was next to the glass, jinshi opened your mouth making you drink the entire thing. “come ON Y/N!” Just as you were about to throw up he rolled you over on your hands and feet and with that you emptied all the contents..onto the floor. Whoops.
“Uuuughhh dammit..was getting to the good part” you grumbled “ THE GOOD PART?! are you out of your damn mind?!! What if you died?!! What the hell” Goashun put a hand on the frantic man’s shoulder. He sighed heavily with a hand on his face. “Please stop poisoning yourself apothecary..” you wiped your mouth with a nearby rag then turned to look at the two exhausted men.
“Fine…I won’t poison myself” you grinned “for the next two days” you whispered with a grin with your back toward them. “I HEARD THAT!” Jinshi screamed. Goashun just sighed heavily.

Hhhhh thinking about sitting with Malleus in the Ramshackle graveyard. He speaks about the gargoyles and the history of the ruins, his voice soothing and soft. Melodic in a way, you listen, absorbing his warmth as you snuggled into his side. The chilly spring evening making you seek out his warmth. As he speaks, you feel yourself begin to drift. Like a child hearing their favorite lullaby, your head gently rests on his shoulder and soon your breathing begins to even out. Deep and peaceful as slumber takes you, having came in the form of Malleus and his voice.
Malleus feels your head settle on his shoulder, hears your breathing become deep and even as you fall asleep. His green eyes look at you, soft and fond. With a tentative hand he wraps his arm around you, pulling you closer to him. You let out a sleepy mumble and melt into him. Reminding him of one of Silver's birds that make themselves at home in his hair occasionally. As silent as a shadow he places a gentle kiss on your forehead.
"Sleep well beloved."
Before he lays his head on top of yours. Inhaling the scent of your hair and enjoying the closeness with you. It'd only be hours later, that the two of you would be found in the graveyard. Lilia being tailed by Silver and Sebek. One look at the two of you, asleep in one another's embrace as the dawn slowly begins to make its way up. Causes Lilia to smile in a fatherly manner. His heart warm and full at seeing his eldest so content. Sebek would try to shout in shock and scandalized outrage only to be stopped by Silver in an effort to save the peaceful, tranquil moment. A few more moments wouldn't hurt after all.
