Interpretation of Hana ni Bourei by Yorushika from the movie Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu (A Whisker Away).

もう忘れてしまったかな  Have I already forgotten?

Who is the subject of this sentence - I, You, or Us? The subject of this sentence is omitted so this is up to your interpretation of the lyrics.

I translated the lyrics from the perspective of Muge in cat form, slowly forgetting about her human self.

言葉をもっと教えて　夏が来るって教えて

Tell (teach) me more words, tell me that summer is coming

This is admittedly a clumsy translation. “Words” and “summer” are very obvious things so why might one need to be taught/told about them you ask? You could perhaps interpret this as Muge becoming a cat and forgetting obvious human things such as this.

We’d go out there together to find true values in a world full of lies

 忘れないように　色褪せないように

So that I don’t forget, so that the memory doesn’t fade

形に残るものが全てじゃないように

So that these tangible objects aren’t the only things I have

I drew a cloud on a piece of paper, laughed and grabbed it showing you
