Durarara

Durarara is a light novel by Ryohogo Nanta and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. It is usually shortened to (DRRR).

A manga adaption by Akiyo Satorigi started serialization in 2009 April 18 and got an anime adaption on January 2012 it also had a two game based series for the PSP and then two games for Play Station Vita released later.

The first release of the light novel was on April 2004 and the final novel was released on January 2014.

Mikado Rygamine is the male lead of this manga/anime as every child usually dreams of living in the big city Mikado was just hoping for an exciting city life he then moves to Ikebukuro to attend Raira Academy with his childhood friend Masaomi Kida.

The haven’t seen each other in a while but having been chatting online everyday so after they meet at the train station they decide to go out to the night streets of Ikebukuro,

Masaomi gives Mikado some warning about people he should probably avoid in the city.

Such as a mysterious gang called “The Dollars” and a super-humanly strong man named Shizuko Heiwajima and someone described as a “Legend” called Black Rider who rides around town in you guessed it a black bike and rumored to not having a head under her helmet her real name is Celty Sturlnson an Irish dullahan who is searching for her stolen head.

All the characters show there lives equally and share a plot line to her incident of Celty stolen head it is told from eleven perspectives.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabu Kome wa Machigatteiru

“Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabu Kome wa Machigatteiru” translated (My Youth Romantic Comedy is wrong as Expected) a light novel by Wataru Watari it got an anime adaption on April 4 to June 27 2013 then followed by a 2nd season on April 2 to June 25 2015.

The characters consist of Hachiman Hikigaya the male lead,Yukino Yukinoshita the female lead and as secondary characters there are Saika Totsuke,Hayato Hayame,Komachi Hikigaya,Yui Yuigahama.

The plot follows the high school life of two loners Yukino Yukinoshita and Hachiman Hikigaya both are completely different people with completely different personalities.

They offer to help create the (Service Club) that gives advice to students when needed the club begins with only Yukino Yukinoshita and Hachiman Hikigaya they get assisted from there very cheerful friend Yui Yuigahama.

Hachiman had been discriminated in the past till he became isolated and friendless and has a “Glare”to everyone.

Yukino is smart,wealthy,beautiful she is nicknamed (Ice Beauty) or (Ice cold Beauty) for her icy demeanor she lacks empathy and despite being popular with the guys she is disgusted by her attitude to undermine her instead of improving them selves.

Yui is one of Hachima’s classmate she is very cheerful and outgoing but has a fear of losing friends so she choices not to express herself

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun in English known as “Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun” is a romantic comedy web-comic written by Izumi Tsubaki.

The anime adaption of  Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun was announced on March 21 2014 and premiered on July 6 2014 on TV Tokyo along side six specials that were released.

The story starts with the female lead known as Chiyo Sakura who has a crush on Umtaro Nozaki and confesses her love to him and to her suprise he hands her an autograph he confuses her to just being a fan of his work as we later discover he is renowed shojo manga artist and his Pen name is Sakiko Yumeno.

When she tells him she always wants to stay by his side he invites her to his house to ask her to assist him in some drawings she later agrees to be his assistant in order to get close to him.

They began working together on a manga called (Koi Shiyo.Lets have a romance) they include some other classmates who end up assisting and inspiring some of the characters in the stories.

Umetaro Nozaki voiced by Yuichi Nakamura is the object of Sakura’s affection and is in secret a manga artist known as Sakiko Yumeno he is the creator of the manga (Lets have a romance.Lets fall in love)which is published on the magazine known as “Monthly Girls Romance”.

Despite making such love related manga he has never experienced love he appreciates Sakura’s drawing abilities but is very oblivious to her feelings towards him.

He lives on his own cooks and cleans by him self after he told his dad he can cover all his expenses by his manga money.

Chiyo Sakura voiced by Ari Ozawa she is a member of her school’s art club she wears two large ribbons that have polka dots patterns.

Toradora

Toradora is a Japanese light novel series by Yuyuko Takemiya it included ten novel released starting March 10 2006 to March 10 2009 then a three volume of a spin-off series for the light novel.A manga adaption happened on September 2007 and ended in 2008 but continued serialization in ASCII Medro works manga magazine.

An anime adaption was released between October 2008 to March 2009 in Tokyo.

The name “Toradora” is derived from the names of the two main characters Taiga Aiska and Ryuji Takasu. 

“Taiga” and “Tora” are Japanese terms for tigers while “Ryu” means Dragon.

As i mentioned the female main character is Taiga Aisaka voiced by Rie Kugimiya a 17 years old high school student she has a very beautiful appearance with honey blonde hair she has very short stature and has been given the nickname “Palmtop”.

Her under developed body and negative attitude and expression.

She used to live with her father and step mother she fought alot with her parents due to that she moved out of there house and started living alone.

Next we have Ryuuji Takasu in the anime known as :Ryuji Takasu.

voiced by Junji Majima is a high school student with a mistaken reputation of being a delinquent because of his glaring eyes.He lives with his mother and having his father leave before he was born made him very self sufficient as he cooks and cleans by himself.

He is seen to having a huge crush on his classmate Minori Kushieda after a meeting Taiga who is Minori best friend he helps her with her domestic chores and develops a reputation as he only person who is able to stop the “Palmtop tiger” as well as expected rumars of them being a couple but he isn’t seen to  see her in any romantic way as he just wants to help her and be her friend

Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge

Tanake-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge a very long name for an anime but in English is a lot easier it means (Tanaka-kun is always Listless) is an on going Japanese web comedy manga with four volumes so far and an anime adaption that began airing on April 2016 and is quite popular on kissanime.com now.         The male lead Tanaka voiced by Kensho Ono a listless student who is always exhausted and quite sleepy and could black out anywhere no matter where.He is shown to not see friendship as any type of bothersome but has a general lake of enthusiasm.

We also have Ohta (Ota) voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya a very tall and stoic student who looks after Tanaka-kun knowing how listless and careless he can be he often and sometimes all the time shown carrying Tanaka-kun to his classes as he is always seen sleepy or claims to cant physically move.

And we also have Miyano voiced by Natsumi Takamori who is a huge fan of Tanaka-kun and has great admiration for his listless she proclaims herself his apprentice in listlessness however he descries her.

Boku Dake inai Machi

Boku Dake inai Machi translated (The Town Where Only I am Missing) or just Erased is a manga series written illustrated by Kei Sanbe.It began publishing between June 2012 to March 2016.Then got an anime series block between January 2016 there is a live action that was released on March 16 2016 and is promised a spin-off manga series by Kei Sanbe and will began serialization on June 2016.

The male lead character is Satoru Fujinuma is a 29 years old manga artist and also works part-time at a pizza shop.

He shockingly posses a power known as “Revival”which allow him to go back in time before a life threatening incident giving him a chance to prevent it.He uses his power to save many life’s until suddenly gets sent back 18 years back to 1988 when he was in elementary school giving him a rare chance to save his 3 classmates who were originally kidnapped and killed in 1988 he succeeds in saving them from death.Which drives the kidnapper to try and drown Satoru in a frozen lake after thwarting his plan.Fifteen years later Satoru wakes up from a coma to realize he lost some of his memories including the kidnapper’s identity.

We later find out his name is Gaku Yashiro he used to be one of Satoru’s homeroom teacher when he was younger it was relevealed to Satoru who the kidnapper and killer is so Gaku decides to drawn Satoru who ruined his plans which resulted in him being in a coma for 15 years with all that time Gaku changed his name and became a politician.

This anime has almost reached 10 million views on kissanime.com

Special A

Special A in Japanese known as (Supersharu E) or manly as SA is a shojo manga by Maki Minami.It has over 24 anime episodes that began airing in Japan from April 2008 to September 2008.The manga started publishing in 2003 and ended in 2009 it began publishing in “The Hana to Yume” magazine then moved to “Hana to Yume” it has 99 chapters in total.It had been licensed in Germany,Italy,Poland,France and Taiwan.

Private Hakusen Academy is the best school in prefecture.They have separated classes based on grade.The A class is only open for top students and the top seven are known as SA they have there own building and can do what they want.

The female lead is known as Hikari Hanazono is a super human girl who is talented in sports and studying as she is ranked second place.

The male lead Kei Takishima an even greater super human is also talented in sports and studying as he is ranked first place.

We still have the remaining 5 members of SA.

Jun Yamamoto ranked 3rd place voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga

Megumi Yamamoto ranked 4th place voiced by Ayahi Takasaki

Tadashi Karino ranked 5th place voiced by Hiro Shimono

Hiraki Hanazono has always been second place to Kei Takishima they met at the early age of 6 then Hikari challenges Kei for  pro-wrestling battle as she thought she is the best until she loses to Kei then swears to defeat him and he becomes her on and only rival.

We later see Kei is actually in love with her of coures we have more than one love story here we have Akira Toudou with Tadashi Karino and Megumi Yamamoto with Yahiro Saiga and Jun Yamamoto with Sakura Ushikubo.

Kiznaiver

Kiznaiver (Kizunaiba) is a Japanese anime series written by Mari Okada one of the most greatest anime/manga writer to ever exist.

Kiznaiver follows a group of teenagers who were carefully chosen to be a part of  an experiment program which makes bond’s and forces each other to feel each other’s physical pain.

The series title premises are based upon the Japanese words for “Wound/Scar”(Kizu) and “Bond/Connection” (Kizuna).

It is in a fictional town called Sugomori City it appears normal to all but is actually a large test scale experiment known as the “Kizuna System”.

Norika Sonozaki voiced by Hibiku Yamamura a beautiful girl who resembles “Esdeath”from (Akame ga Kiru) in my point of view she acts as an arbitrator for the Kizuna System.

And the male lead Katsuhira Agata (Kacchon) voiced by Yuki Kaji and this may be out of topic but Yuki Kaji is the most talented voice actor to ever live i respect him so much as he voiced Yukina from (Noragami) Speed Sonic (One punch man) Eren Yaeger (Attack on titans) Ayato Kirshima (Tokyo ghoul) and many of the Diabolik Lovers characters.

And Chidori Takashiro who is his closest childhood friend and claims to have been in love with him and hints to still do.

Honoka Maki voiced by Rina Sato a smart very stoic girl and is cold towards she apparently killed someone before but isnt known who or why yet.

And Hajime Tenga voiced by Tomoaki Maeno a delinquent known as “Mad Dog”or “Thug” he is obnoxious to the core and suffers from intense Cynophobia but has a sense of leadership.

Mayoiga

Mayoiga in English known as “The Lost Village” is ranked on the Top 10 most popular animes on kissnaime.com as it only started airing on April 2016 which as i am writing this it is May it has over almost 2 million total views.

It is about a group of 30 both men and women go on a bus tour to Nanaki village to start over new and happy lives.But they discover that the truth of Nanaki village has yet to be discovered.

The male lead is a character known as Mitsumuna voiced by Kodai Sakai described as gullible and optimistic boy he was tired of emotional abuse from his mother and has a fear of falling in love which we then understand why he has a habit of rarely talking to girls as he also attended an all boys school and got bullied a lot.

Now Mitsumune doesn’t talk about his family much but he had a twin brother called Takimune he was killed so he has to take his identity in order to keep his mother emotionally stable he feels his identity was taken from him which is understandable.

But on the tour bus he makes many friends such as a shy girl who is very emotional called Masaki voiced by Yuka Aisaka who naturally Mitsumune starts to feel he needs to defend.

As one of his best friends called Hayate voiced by Taku Yashio who is nick named (Speed Star) he has a very stoic and pragmatic personality he defends Mitsumune from bullying and advice’s him to always keep a low profile.

And then there is Lion (Rion) voiced by Hiromi Igaraish she is very mysterious and says she sees dead people but seen only seeing people who will die she is very careful around Mitsumune and feels very suspicious of him.

Gugure! Kokkuri-san

Gugure! Kokkuri-san is Japanese manga series by Midori Endo was published in 2011 then got an anime series adaption that aired between October and December 2014 in Japan.

It became quite huge when the anime came out onine on websites such as YouTube and kissanime.com.

The lead character goes to an adorable elementary student girl named Kohina Ichimatsu she refers to her self as a doll and tends to be emotionless and without face expression.

She eats nothing but Instant noodles and lives alone one day she decides to summon a spirit by playing the Kokkuri game then appears Kukkri-san a fox spirit his plan was to haunt the girl who summoned him but noticing her lonely and unhealthy life style he decides to stay and look after her.

Kohina-san and Kokkuri-san lives change completely but they share there moments and end up building quite a parent to child bond with each other.

Then appears Dog spirit Inugami a normal dog who no body acknowledges except for Kohina he then begins to adore her and wishes to be ina relationship with her weather marriage or sexual.

As we know Kohina is only in elementary school and Kokkuri-sand tends to fight with Inugami a lot due to his actions.

As later Kokkuri-san becomes Kohina’s legal guardian and promises to raise her correctly.As she is now haunted by two spirits but it doesn’t end there she later begins being haunted by Shigaraki a tanuki spirit he is a pervert and a drunky but isnt always bad he was once Kokkuri-san’s roommate he donates to an orphange whose families are financially at risk.

Kokkuri-san says he used to be claimed and worshiped as a god until less people visit the shrine he begins to fade.

Kokkuri-san has long white hair and white ears in his male and female form in the anime we see him with golden olive eyes but in the coloured version of the manga he has blue eyes.

Ao Haru Ride

Popularly known as “Ao Haru Ride” and in English “Blue Spring Ride”and in Hepburn:Aoharaido is a Japanese Shojo manga series by Io Sakisaka.It began on February 2011 and ended in February 2015 and an anime television series was released in Japan on July 2014.A live film was then adapted in late 2014.Also a drama CD.

Also a light novel by Akiko Abe in 2011 with only 5 volumes.

The female lead Futaba Yoshiake has always believed boys were too rough and claimed to hate them but the only exception was Kou Tanaka the male lead who we later see as Kou Mabuchi.

Yoshioka and Tanaka share many memories from when were in middle school together they also planned to go to a summer festival together until she tells one of Yoshioka’s friends that she hates ALL boys as Tanaka heard her he thought he was no exception.

Yoshioka awaits at the summer festival for a long time but Tanaka never shows up.

They later learn he transfer schools without saying a word to anyone.

Years pass Yoshiaka changed as she is in High school as she becomes an outcast because she is popular with boys as she is known as attractive and cute so in order to blend in she tries her best to become un-cute and unfeminine.

Then one normal lunch time at school she is buying her usual bread as she always buys to many as always she drops it at the school hallway a boy assists her then walks away as saying something Yoshiaka finds it familiar then later discovers ut was Kou Tanaka but now known as Kou Mabuchi.

They became acquaintance again and later put in the same classroom ,Yoshiaka then becomes after trying to start a new leaf and be her self class representative female Tanaka then volunteers to becomes the male representative they both stay late some school days doing assignment they becomes closer and Tanaka opens up to her more and she later discovers that his mom has passed away.

Deadman Wonderland

As in Hepburn known as “Deddoman Wandarado” is a manga series by Jinsei Kataka and started publishing in Shonen Ace in 2008.It got an anime adaption in April 2011 to July 2011.

Ganta Igarashi also known as “Wood pecker” is the male lead of “Deddoman Wandarado” he was sent to Deadman Wonderland due to his Deadman powers.

He gets framed pf murdering his own classmates so he swears to take vengeance on “Red Man” who framed him.

As we all see Igarashi as a normal 14 years old completely harmless kid.

Deadman Wonderland gathers prisoners from all over Japan and raises money for the revival of the destroyed Metropolis caused by the mysterious Earthquake 10 years ago.

Deadman Wonderland has a secret gladiator called “Carnival Corpse” where wealthy donors pay to watch death matches between prisoners they put bets on who they think will win for entertainment.

He does make few friends along the way with a girl named “Shiro” who apparently knows Igarashi but she is unknown to the other prisoners.

One Punch Man

Known in Japanese as Wanpanman in Hepburn.But very popularly known as “One Punch Man”It is an on going webcomic by an author that used the Pseudonym One which began publishing in 2009.The series quickly went viral with over 7.9 million hits in 2012 and probably growing by the second.It was a play on the long running children’s character Anpanman Wapan being a contraction of Wanpanchi meaning “One Punch”in English.

It got a digital manga remake series illustrated by Yusuke Murata.It began publishing an on a comic website in 2012.A television anime adaption aired in Madhouse in japan between October and November 2015.The Amazing animed Bruce Lee Saitama.It is a fictional Japanese metropolis of City Z.It is full of mysterious monsters that appear to destroy.

Saitama is the strongest hero who can kill anyone and anything with a single punch.And having such over whelming power it doesn’t feel as challenging as it should be Saitama proceeds to search for a stronger who can give him a challenge.During that time he meets many enimes and new friends as well.

As his disciple the second male lead the cyborg known as Genos.

They both decide to join the Hero Association to gain reconginzed as heros Saitama and Genus must face some exams and challenges of course the both ace the exams to super natural level but Saitama struggles to gain respect and gets acused of being a counterfeit there.

Viz media announced that they are creating a Dubbed of One Punch Man at Anime Boston 2016.

Yusuka Murata comifrmed he is working on making a OPM season two a reality Fingers Crossed.

Suparavazu

Suparavazu popularly known as (Super Lovers) is a shonen-ai  manga.I reviewed it before but i am only talking about the brand new episode number 6

Which has got some people excitedly happy and some not so much.So in the middle of the episode we see Haru-san and Ren Ren cuddling on a weekend night while watching TV.

Ren Ren asks Haru-san about him being a womanizer after someone points it out.Haru-san panics but then him and Ren Ren talk for a bit Ren Ren says he wants Haru-san to do what he wants for his own sack not for him or others.

Then Ren Ren becomes upset and goes to his room and proceeds to sleep and Ren Ren hates sleeping alone he usually sleeps with Haru-san.

As Ren Ren was falling asleep the door opens Ren thinks its Tanuki his dog but it was Haru-san he proceeds to forced himself on Ren and so ren bits his tongue in way of stopping him Haru-san says that Ren said to do what he wants and this was it but then says it was a joke and he would never hit on his little brother that clearly seemed to upset Ren

Okami Shojo to Kura Oj

Also well known as (Wolf girl and Black prince) a shojo manga series by Ayako Hatta.It adapted into a drama CD in 2013.A magazine by the name of Shueisha’s Bassatsu margaret magazine announced a television anime adaption it aired from October to December 2014 with only 12 episodes and is also getting a Live action movie very soon on May 28 2016 which i personally am looking forward to.

The first manga volume was in 2011 with 14 volumes released.

The female lead is Erika Shinohara voice by Kanae Ho.

And the male lead Kyouya Sata voiced by Takahiro Sakurai.

It all started when Erika-san was put in a different class than her best friend Ayumi Sanda voiced by Ai Kayano and tries to fit in so she tries to blend in with her two classmates Aki Tezuka and Marin Tachibana as she notices they always talk about there boyfriends and how happy they are she then proceeds to lie about having a prince charming boyfriend and as she never told them his name and doesnt have a picture of him they start to get suspicious of Erika-san when Erika-san hears them by mistake talking about how she is probably lieing she proceeds to try and find a solution.

As she is out one day she notices a very attractive guy surrounded by girls she takes a picture of him thinking he wouldn’t notice which he actually does but she proceeds to run off fast.

She shows Aki-san and Marin then they notice he look familier after few hours pass they figure out its prince charming Kyouya Sata.

Erika-san panics as she tries to fix this she then tells Kyouya everything she then proceeds to ask him to pretend and he kindly agrees Erika-san was so happy having met this nice guy but still to discover he doesn’t match his looks.

He begins to black mail Erika-san and makes her his ‘Dog’ Erika-san agrees as she wants her secret to be kept.

She later notices she starts to catch feelings for Kyouya and confesses her love to him

Kyouya later notices he gets very protective of Erika-san and starts to notice he has feelings for her as well.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso

Mostly known for its english name (Your lie in April) and in Japanese in Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso which is translated to (April is your lie) or just known as the first manga series Kimiuso it was written and illustrated by Naoshi Arakawa.

The series was seralized in April 2011 to May 2015.Also got an anime adaption series adaption that aired from October 2014 to March 2015.

And something i am excited for is the Live Action film that is confirmed to be released in September 2016.

Shigatsu wa kimi Uso is about a piano prodigy the male lead Kosei Arima became a famous child star musician.After the death of his mom who was also his piano teacher he has a breakdown while performing  as he claims to cant hear the notes anymore and is unable to play the piano anymore.Few years later he meets Kaori Miyazono a free spirited violinist who claims to being in love with his best friend Ryoto Watari.And goes on a date with Kaori Miyazono and then she decides to invite Kosei Arami and the second female lead and also his childhood best friend Tsubaki Sawabi.As Kaori Miyazono and Kosei Armia both arrive early and have a strange first impression of eavh other as Kaori refers to him as (Pervert) but end up becoming really close and good friends.She inspires him to start playing the piano again and becomes his muse and inspiration but little does Kosei Arima knows Kaori Miyazoo had a rare illness she never told anyone about.

She had Friedreich’s Ataxia it can begin from ages 5 to 15 Muscle weakness in the arms and legs it can cause heart disorder she had a surgery it may have been for implant pace maker but another arrest killed her during surgery.

Mashin-Doru wa Kizutsukanai

Popularly known as Unbreakable Machine Doll in engilsh and in Japanese has two names as the first is Mashin-Doru wa Kizutsukanai and second Kiko Shojo wa Kiztsukanai started as a very light novel book in 2009 which was an extreme shock to me it was written by Reiji Karto with fifteen volumes since it was released.

A manga adaption by Hakaru Takagi began airing in 2010 then a 12 episode anime adaption aired from October to December 2013.

The male lead known as Raishin Akabane voiced by Hiro Shimono is a Japanese puppeters from The Akabane Clane.Raishin is also a Japanese army spy and had Shouko Karyuusai mediate him to be assigned of entering Walpurgis Royal academy of Machineart to join Night party and on the spy on the latest machineart development.

His automoton YaYa is voiced by Hitami Harade is a Banned Doll and is one of the Karyuusai brands made by Shouko Karyuusai.

YaYa is the middle sister doll between her 3 sisters known as Irori and Komurasaki.

Irori voiced by Al Kayano.

Komurasaki voiced by Yai Ogura.

YaYa is in love with Raishin Akabane and gets jealous of any women that comes near Raishin Akabane.YaYa possesses the magic circut Kongouriki (Kongoriki).

Irori possesses the magic circut of Himokagami.

Komurasaki possesses the magic circut of Yaegasumi.
