Ao Haru Ride
anime recommendations
Most of these are romance animes, or slice of life animes. Here’s the post you guys never asked for:)
1) toradora! toradora! Is a regular romance anime, and it’s basically my comfort show. It’s very slow moving, and there’s 1 season i think. 9/10:)
2) food wars
Food wars is literally just a cooking show😭 but the people are really hot and it’s super entertaining! 8/10
3) Anohana: the flower we saw that day
Anohana is one of my favorite anime’s ever. It’s so so good and it has every emotion that you want in it! There’s romance, humor, and a lot of sadness:) this anime is about a group of friends that fell apart as they got older, and with the help of someone they lost they try and fix things again. 11/10 watch this if you want to cry
4) ponyo
Ponyo is a movie that I have loved since I was tiny! It’s definitely one of my comfort movies. I have no idea how to explain it but it’s really beautiful. 10/10
5) maid sama
Maid sama is a hilarious romance anime that is EXTREMELY SLOW MOVING, but it’s really funny so I never really minded that part. Some of the scenes will blow your mind and have you running laps around your house. Plus the male character is really attractive. 8/10
6) Ao Haru Ride (blue spring ride)
Ao Haru Ride is a very emotional and cute show. It’s also a romance. And the characters are very attractive so that’s that. 9/10
7) my little monster
My little monster is so cute and I LOVE and relate with the characters so much, but one thing I didn’t like about the show was the lack of character development, but other than that it’s super cute! 9/10
8) lovely complex
I loooove this show so much! Lovely complex is basically about a boy who’s super short, and a girl who’s extremely tall. They become best friends but sometimes they don’t really know exactly how they feel about eachother. It’s also super funny! 10/10
Alright that’s it so far! I have a lot more but these gifs are making my device glitch💀 I will be answering some asks later today btw
It's hard to tell if it's morning or night

Old Kacchako sketch I did a while back... Thought I’d finally post it for fandom positivity since I actually remembered this piece 😅
“Blue Spring Ride’s famous window hug!”
I’m well-aware this is a (for some reason) popular but disliked ship, but please respect that we all have our own preferences over certain things and should not go witch hunting over small disagreements on who should be with who in a manga/animated show. Feel free to ship who you want. I just want to draw and write to my Kacchako heart’s content like the other supporters out there! ✌🏻Keep it cool, everyone!
Ao Haru Ride (Review) Manga + Anime
RATING: 10/10
Genres: slice of life, romance, comedy, school life, shoujo, drama
Would I recommend? Absolutely!
- My favourite manga of all time!! I live for badboy/tsundere male protagonists and kou Mabuchi is a perfect example of an icon. The anime has 1 season and I'm still wishing that they make more. The manga isn't too rushed or too slow and has a good pace to build the relationships in the story.
- sooo many moments that made my heart swell, cry, and aching for more 😭
What was lacking? Nothing! While the Anime ends right before the storyline gets good that's where the manga saves us. I highly recommend reading before starting the anime so your heart can handle everything
OVERALL: read it. No hesitation.
Ao haru ride ☺ Go watch this anime it's one of my fav!!
