Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc Season 2 (2025)

Continuation of the Kinnikuman revival series. The animation isn't great, but the story being told is compelling. Especially Springman's tale.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes (2025)

Scales everything down by following the friendly neighbourhood Crawler and friends rather than 40+ children, their teachers and mentors. And is a far better series for it.

One of the best of the year.

Disappointing sequel season that loses its way after episode 6. Not expecting to see any more of it.

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider (2025)

Four lunatics turn themselves into real life Kamen Riders. An absolute blast to watch. Hopefully we get many more seasons.

My Hero Academia: Final Season (2025)

Overstuffed wrap up to the overstuffed X-Men homage. As usual with this series, too many characters, not enough time. I suspect health issues necessitated certain aspects being given short shrift and unsatisfactory endings in the manga.

One Punch Man Season 3 (2025)

Disappointing sequel series based on the overly baggy, and frequently rewritten remake manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata. Though probably mainly Murata at this point.

Ganglion (2025)

Satiric anime shorts based on a single volume manga from 2007 by Hisaya Shiraiwa and Takashi Itsuki.

Presents a supervillain group as a Japanese corporation and a superhero as a local government civic project to provide jobs for retired cops.
