So Dirk, it's about 6 and I want to make sure we're still on for that date?

Of course we are!

Dirk double-checked everything. His appearance (hair in its usual style, glasses on, wearing his best suit and an orange tie); the house was clean, the movies he’d selected set on the DVD player, and the things he’d bought for this day were all where he’d put them, too.

Now he just had to wait for John to arrive, and… oh, there he was.

"Oh, John. You’re here. Hey." He smiled.

"Don’t sound so enthusiastic," John teased, chuckling softly as he approached Dirk. His eyes glanced about with a mild curiosity before settling on his boyfriend. "You look really nice," he commented, grinning a bit sheepishly. "So what did you have all planned out for our Valentine’s Day Date?"

"Sorry for the lack of enthusiasm in my voice. I'm kinda nervous, is all." He explained with a slight laugh. "You look nice, too. I uh, I got pizza for dinner, a few movies we could watch..."

For once John had dressed himself up, even going so far as to attempt taming his hair (though it was futile). He was dressed up in a black tux with a light green tie and even put on dress shoes. He wanted to look extra nice for his boyfriend.

He slid his cellphone and wallet into his pockets and ran a hand through his hair with a sigh. He needed to calm down. They’d been on a date before and there was no way he was going to make a huge mess of things so he had nothing to be nervous about. But he couldn’t seem to help it. Nevertheless John used his transportalizer to head over to Dirk’s home.
