Previously on OBKK Soap Opera, Sukea moved in with Obi, Kashi, and Obito - and now Obi and Kashi's daughter, Midori. If you remember from episode 1, he was the one who dropped in uninvited on Kashi's confession. Surely, though, their past is behind them and he won't cause trouble again.
Goddamn it. Now he's going after the OTHER Obito.
The stealthiest rejection ever. I hope he learns his lesson after this.
Obito, don't you dare.
Remember Tsuru? Well, he's spent his days with to Kaguya, trying his best to get close to her.

Well, we all know how this will go, but I try not to refuse the miis when they want to do something, so go for it, Sukea. Let's see what happens.
He's uh. Having a rough go of it. Sorry, bud, but them's the breaks. I did try to have his friends cheer him up after this, but he wasn't having it. Every attempt failed, and he was sullen and bitter for a long, long time.
Now, there's someone I've been meaning to add to the island for a while, but I kept putting it off. The main reason is because I knew making his face paint and outfit would be a pain. I'm not great at drawing on the switch, which is why I haven't made many custom outfits yet. But you know what? As much of a pain as he's been, I do kind of feel bad for Sukea.
We have 3 Kakashis. We can't have 3 of them without having 3 Obitos, right?
I gotta say, now that I've made him, I love this little guy. I don't know why, but I find myself letting the camera follow him around, just doing stuff.
Lookit him. He's such a silly little guy. So for the first 30min of his existence, I just kinda had him roaming around the island while I worked on other stuff, and--
He fell for Robin. I can't even fault him for it.
Actually, immediately after this, another resident, Yuphie, fell for Robin, too.
Good on you, Yuphie. I wish you all the best.
I also introduced Tobi to his originators, and he proceeded to give them back-handed compliments. That's my boy!
So, back to the rest of the cast: Obi decided to give Sakumo a chance. He's not the first, but boy, Sakumo just does not want friends, it seems, because he's rejected every person who has reached out to him. His relationship with Sukea is strained, he doesn't care about Kashi or Kakashi, and I think Rin was his best friend at the time, of all people.
Aaaand that streak continues, because Obi fudged it. Damn it, Obi, you couldn't do any better than that?!
So remember Markl? I added him in episode 3, and he's also... well. Yeah. Sukea's suddenly got a fan, I wonder how that will go.
Unfortunately, nothing to report on the main OBKK pairs this time around. They've been relatively quiet since Midori joined the family. Obi and Kashi continue to be grossly cute together, Obito and Kakashi are sweethearts, though Kakashi keeps slowly losing interest, so I'm not sure if anything will come of that, and Midori herself is a little bit of a brat, but doesn't have any friends yet (except Tobi, which I find pretty funny).
I'll leave you off on the conversation that got our new duo to become friends:

OR: A mission from the Fire Daimyō brings Kakashi to the capital, where he'll be guarding the lord's outcast son, who has driven off every bodyguard assigned to him thus far. He prepares for another painful assignment with an unpleasant client, but quickly realizes his assumptions are off the mark.
It's the daimyō's court that's unpleasant, not the prince.
Whenever I work on Kingmaker, even I start getting annoyed with Tobi. I think he might hold the title of the most exhausting version of Obito I've ever written, and that's including Daffodil's Tobi.

We'll have four weeks to read the chosen fanfic. Once that four weeks is up, I'll make a post, and you're welcome to discuss it in the comments.

The monthly fanfic will be decided by a vote. If one with heavy tags or an E rating is chosen, I'll choose a runner-up that isn't so heavy. You're welcome to read either or both, and if neither appeal to you, you can skip that month and come back next time. This is meant to be a fun way for us to read together, and you're not obligated to read something you don't vibe with.

All recommendations must be from the Naruto fandom, but otherwise, there are no restrictions. Have at it.
When sending recommendations, make sure to mention both the title of the fic and the author's username. It would help me out if you mention the main characters/ship, tags, and rating, but you don't have to. I'll collect all that information before it comes time to decide.
The polls have finished, and it looks like it'll be anything goes! The only restriction is that the fics need to be from the Naruto fandom. I think we might do 2 per month though depending on what you guys suggest and which ones win (if one with heavy tags or a heavy rating wins, I'll pick a second that's more accessible), but you can choose to read one or both, no pressure!

It's that time again! What might have happened in our time away...?
Episode 2 || Episode 4
When we last left off, Kashi and Obi got married, their clones were still playing "will they, won't they", and a little guy named Tsuru was pining for an alien goddess who wouldn't give him the time of day. Where are they now?
Let's start off with something we've all been waiting for: Kakashi's confession! He had enough of waiting around and needed to get it out there. It's actually been a while since Kakashi developed feelings for Obito, and I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. But Obito's crush had long died out and never returned.
Let's see how it went!

SABO?! OF ALL PEOPLE?! C'MON!
Of course, because no one on this damn island can get through a confession without an interruption, THIS GUY shows up and decides to ruin it.
Sabo and Obito weren't even friends, so it was obvious who he would choose. Finally, these two stubborn guys are together.
The island has grown since episode 2. Mostly, we have more One Piece characters now and a few from Naruto, though I have added an oc I neglected to bring in before, Markl.
Things have been relatively peaceful.
Our newest couple has been enjoying themselves. I constantly find them together in the restaurant or out on the island together.
Soon after they got together, Obi and Obito befriended each other, and so did Kashi and Kakashi. And then a new household formed...
Obito started living with our OG pair and these 2, Arashi and Crowley. He did later try to get Kakashi to move in with him, but it uh... didn't go well.
Also, remember Minato? Well, Kushina confessed to him with a very grand gesture.
And she was, of course, interrupted. By Ace this time, because I guess the brothers are hellbent on disturbing every event on this island.
It, too, failed. Kakashi and Minato are sweethearts. Now if only Minato would stop snubbing Naruto, maybe they could be a family. Alas.
Arashi and Crowley moved out as soon as they moved in, and now we have a certain... disruptor. This doesn't spell trouble, not at all.
Now, you might remember Tsuru's dilemma with Kaguya...
Well, they became friends! That's a start, right? Right??
Please don't get a big head over this, Tsuru...
Anyway, so everything's been pretty chill this time around, and--
AND THEN THEY DROPPED THIS ON ME
Our island's first kid! I left every option random because it's more fun that way. It's a girl, and they wanted to name her Midori, so I left it as that. I did, however, change up her look because she was carbon copy of Obi. Meet Midori!
And that's about it! This is actually all the content I wanted to include in the last episode that I didn't have room for, so it's not as juicy as it could be. I'm sure Midori's inclusion will be a lot of fun next time.
Finally, the time has come to discuss the book club!! We still have some kinks to work out before we officially start, so I've got some polls set up to get your opinions.
