Hey Guys!!!
Its been so long since my last post. But honestly I have decided to be more consistent with my blog from now onward.
Too faced is an amazing makeup brand and some of their eye shadow palettes and lipsticks are the most raved about all over the internet. I do own few of the lipsticks from the brand. The Melted Matte lipsticks formula is my top favorite liquid lipstick formula of all time. I love the shade ‘Sell Out’. It is the most light weight and comforting liquid lipstick I have tried on till date.
Recently I bought another shade ‘Queen B’ from the website flipkart.com knowing the risk that these might not be authentic. And to my disappointment, it was actually fake and I was no able to return it as well because the lipstick was being sold as non returnable item. I asked one of my friends who was returning from Melbourne to get me the same lipstick from Mecca Maxima. I finally got the original lipstick 2 days back and I realized that there are few points through which you can identify among a fake and real lipstick.
So today I’m gonna mention some of these signs which might help you guys identify the fake one in case you are not purchasing the product from official website or authorized re-sellers.
THE PACKAGING

too faced package front
The packaging from the front looks identical with the only difference of the color. The real one is bit lighter and true to the actual lipstick color. The fake one is few shades darker than the real one.
All text in outer packaging are exact same. but the real one is very clear and bright compared to fake one.
The upper and bottom lines are thicker in real one and fake one has slightly thinner lines.

Real one has one serial number ‘6K5’ which is also printed in the lipstick itself. Fake one doesn’t have such number.

The brush image in real one is very similar to the real brush whereas in fake, its dull and doesn’t resemble the actual brush.
The fake one is much lighter than the real one.
THE LIPSTICK
Both have exact same stuff written over in the front. The ‘TOO FACED’ is written much neatly in the real than the fake one.
The sticker on the back side is much clearer, bolder in Real one compared to the fake one.
The real one has a hinge which acts as a lock when you try to close the lipstick which is absent in fake one.
The fake one has complete gold hardware with the translucent stopper to avoid leakage of product whereas in original one, lipstick mouth area is black and rest of the top part is gold.
THE TEXTURE
The texture of the Original Melted matte lipstick is very rich, soft and mousse like. It glides on lips smoothly like a cream and sets into a matte finish in about 20-30 seconds.
The texture on the Fake one is thin and runny. The lipstick sets matte as soon as it applies. It is extremely hard to remove event after using miceller water.
Fake one has little pinky tone whereas the original one is a mauve nude shade.
The fake one, once applied, is quite sticky on lips. When I press the lips, some of the lipstick came off from bottom lip and moved to top lip.
The fake one smells like chemical+chocolate which is not a very pleasant smell.
The fake one costed my 1200 Rs. when on a discount which is around 25AUD(Australian $). The original one I got was for 30AUD.
These are all the differences I could find between the fake one and real one.Hope you enjoyed the blog. Please refrain from buying International makeup from such sellers as usually they sell fake product on high price. Instead there are many Instagram pages these days which sell authentic makeup products. I myself do buy products from them and have never faced any issues. Few such pages are:

Have a great day and week ahead. I’ll be back with another post soon.
XOXO!!
