wtf is this
seriously, wtf???
Itâs back to DW for me. My DW username is hebethen, right now itâs mostly bookthoughts interspersed with the occasional AVthoughts, but Iâll probably start posting personal stuff under an access lock or something. Iâll still lurk Tumblr blogs unless they fuck up the reading interface too, but this posting is BS. Please leave me your non-Tumblr blogs if you have them and would like to share!

And then she yells HOW DARE YOU MY HEAD STILL HURTS FROM BEING ANGRY AT YOUR SISTER It astounds me that she can turn her own violence around and blame it on her kid (When I drove the car out of the garage so I could have space to take out the trash, she ran out of the house demanding where I was going, dragging at the side of the car and knocking on the window and refusing to let me drive and park properly. When I yelled that I wasn't going anywhere, she started on tirades again, then started waving her hands wildly right in front of my face as if she was going to slap me. Every time I opened my mouth she screwed up her face, repeatedly screamed RARARARARARARARARA, and threatened to slap me. As soon as I finished taking out the trash she snatched the car keys from my hands -- as if that was some kind of retribution, when I've been driving her everywhere these past few weeks and hardly ever for myself.) I'm not kidding she's acting like a fucking two-year-old except she's my size and she has legal and financial power that no child ever had. For good reason. why the doctor gave her four more weeks off work. I have to be with her 24/7 for four more weeks and I swear she's malingering. She's got enough strength to scream and throw things, hasn't she? All her tests are normal and she's screaming at us and throwing things and I hate this fucking zoo of horrors
Ah, the events when I came home totally pushed it out of my mind, but -- even though I only wrote four pages today (not like printer pages but tiny pages almost as small as index cards), I was very amused that I had apparently decided all of a sudden to drop a big revelation in the middle of what was meant to be a scene wrap-up. Based on tea. I spent a whole paragraph describing it. The trouble of course is that I hadn't planned for this to be in the story at all -- it wasn't just an early revelation, but rather a revelation of something that I hadn't even thought about before. And it requires extra worldbuilding and research, although I will continue pushing shitty-first-draft and (try to) not slow down.
âWhere Sea Meets Manâ. I love that episode so much. Whatâs your favorite?
Aha, my recent indignation over Tanyu might be biasing me toward Sea of Writings, but One-Eyed Fish and Pretense of Spring also stand out very positively in my memory. I should do a full rewatch sometime.
Is up. It's got its own website now -- Wordpress-based, I believe, but in any case (No,) not (the) Livejournal(!).
I watched the first 15 minutes or so and i thought it was brilliant thus far. It definitely captured everything about the nature and backgrounds that i loved about Mushishi, but i was disheartened when I read somewhere that my favorite episode wasnât one of the stories in the movie
Yeah, I was quite pleased at the beginning! I also liked the interspersal of Ginko's backstory; obviously that works better in a film than the more episode-specific bits of backstory that the anime had. What was your favorite ep?
are you referring to the live action movie? because i was extremely interested in watching that, but if they screw up so bad with tanyu and tama i guess i wonât watch it! lol
Yep. I was pretty excited when I heard that there was a live-action film adaptation, and it was even pretty okay at first -- like I was a little ehhhh about their rendition of Nui but I could stomach it and enjoy the rest -- but then. Tanyu. My beloved
Family, food, and fun...damentally awful personalities So my sister calls me while I'm at the library and says WAH THERE'S NO FOOOOOOD GO BUY FAST FOOOOOOD -- which demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the concept of "no food", considering that even without being able to check the fridge/pantry I knew we had milk, cereal, rice, dry pasta/noodles, fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables and beans, frozen fish filets, frozen dumplings and buns and bing, cheese, eggs, nuts, soymilk, canned porridge, and snacks of various kinds. She's the one with the cooking blog. I told her we had food and that I'd cook when I got home, then went to get the groceries our mother wanted (water and breakfast food). Upon arriving at home, half a dozen gallon jugs in tow and half my fingers frozen off, I'm about to call for someone to lend a hand when I notice that my mother has turned the TV volume to "tooth-rattling" and my sister is bawling somewhere in the background. I'm like what the fuck now. I haul the jugs upstairs on my own, which takes a while due to my mere two noodle arms, and attempt to get the story, and apparently it goes thus: 1) sister's whining enrages mother 2) mother tells sister to go cook (or possibly just insults her until she goes cook, I wasn't sure; the latter might be more likely) 3) sister tries to cook pan-fried buns, but didn't put enough water 4) sister opens the pan lid to add more water 5) mother flips out and screams at her for "doing it wrong" 6) sister insists that the buns are about to burn and adds water 7) mother double-flips and starts hitting and throwing things at sister ?????? She's not exaggerating about the throwing things, I found a water bottle in the sink and anyway throwing things is an established part of our mother's This Is What You Get If You Give Power To A Two-Year-Old repertoire. and now my sister is refusing to eat her vegetables. she is way. too. old. for this
So I picked up that one episode of Mushishi to belatedly soothe my ruffled feelings over terrible adaptation, and it turns out I'd totally forgotten: Tama herself was a mushishi. The film screwed her over too. :\ The scenes where Tanyu objected to the unilateral killing of mushi, and faced down the arrogance of the mushishi visitors -- all gone. Doesn't even make sense, since that was their backstory, their shipfuel. And she had it under control from the very beginning of the breakout. Not just the rescribing, and the pet bookworms (also left out), but the special room with paste walls. OMG. It's like they gave her and Tama personality and history lobotomies. Mushishi anime you are my forever girl ;3;
but why is there no sff how can I mindlessly choose shows by genre if my home genre isn't there //edit: Okay there's a "supernatural" category under "themes" but that's nnnnnnot quite what I'm looking for ._. I guess this kumiho-mom thing sounds interesting though? Let's try that //edit2: IT'S SO SLOW
Gross minor-injuryish TMI (also food/eating tw) I somehow lacerated the inside of my right cheek, either one really long cut or a lot of shorter ones, slicing all the way across the fleshy bit that joins the upper and lower gums. I CHEW WITH THE RIGHT SIDE I don't remember if I used to chew more evenly but ever since my TMJ got worse I've mostly been chewing with the right side and right now chewing is pain. ...I think I also lacerated my tonsil with a bagel. And yesterday, I gave myself a cut when I accidentally kicked a standing fan... then opened the cut up later by accidentally kicking something else, and literally bled through my sock. whyyyyyyyyyyyyy
i liked the page for my schoolâs lgbt* center on facebook and my mom just sent me a message that said
ânow all of china knows youâre queerâ
fff
I'm sad, my mother makes me sad, there's a lot of "I just want" bumping around in my head so obviously "just" is a lie but I just want to have my own space and interact with reasonable people
man wouldnât it be cool if the anti-sj brigade didnât make gross parody blogs where they pretend to be non-binary and then say outrageous shit in an attempt to make trans people look like unreasonable bigots!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wasn't there also some anti-SJ asshole who used to send people death threats after they'd been called out so that they could make ~SJWs~ look violent?
