I just thought the song suits their relationship.

I really admire Akimi Yoshida’s work “Banana Fish.” It did ruin my feels for a while though, while I was watching the anime, reading the manga, and even after that. I’m still not over it and I think I won’t be. It seems like it’s a part of me now. Some are angry with regards to its ending but I think it’s a beautiful disaster especially when you consider all the shit Ash experienced throughout his life and then finally having an Eiji. He was happy and contented.

Let’s not forget that Akimi Yoshida wants to keep the story realistic and she did. The ending of Banana Fish is a part of what makes the whole story beautiful. Yes, I was also in denial at first but when you think about it long and hard, it is indeed beautiful. To love and be destroyed indeed. Just like how we love Banana Fish and then got destroyed.

The official art teasing the publication of yet another book that I add to my wishlist and it’s so gorgeous! I wanted to give it a try because they always show our boys seperated even ever so slightly. Seeing Ash so sad and longing really pains me - I wish they could be happy so I thought why not giving them that :)
