The lake sans the ice. Equally breathtaking.

Multnomah Falls, finally. January 2017.
Definitely grander than any photo could ever capture. This is Chiang-Kai Shek Memorial Hall. This is Taipei, Taiwan.
Visited Sibonga for the kids’ first-hand learning experience on pottery. They got to see how a beautiful jar/vase is made from scratch. (Miguel, however, was more interested on the cockfight happening in the other shack. Uh-oh.)
Rode a trike to the next town, Carcar. Between two adults (and three kids, who barely ate) we finished one kilo of their famous Lechon. We then decided to walk the calories off by going through the town’s Church, Park, Museum and well-preserved Historic Houses. Carcar is definitely a must-visit for architectural fanatics like me.
Before heading back to the city, we stopped by a snack bar for some coffee. And decided to try a Morcon Burger. And Fries. And Mango Shake.
Oh, and a Halo-Halo.
We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wildreness and travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey. - John Hope Franklin
Over 2000 years old of ingenuity. Hand-made terraces carved into the mountains of Ifugao, Philippines.
This is THE Banaue Rice Terraces.
"How do you measure a year in life? Measure in LOVE. "
This is the Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig. This is love.
And I hope our hands grow old in each other’s. If not, then why have hands, at all.
Hopefully the first of many Chasing Waterfalls series for this year. Hopefully.
This one is found in the remote area of Barangay Kanghalo in the little town of Dumanjug, Cebu. It is a HUGE one! And it is the perfect falls to start my quest for unexplored or less-commercialized falls.
Now tell me again.. Where did these 5 lbs come from?
• Avocado Pie (Micky’s Japanese Cakes) • Bone and Marrow (Carnivore) • Wasabi Burger (Fujinoya)
The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one’s own country as a foreign land. - GK Chesterton
This is the Island of Black Magic. This is Siquijor Island.
Panagsama Beach, Moalboal.
Where we had Thai, Indian, Malaysian and Filipino food for lunch, watched the sunset over cold beers and pizza, slept, woke up and had breakfast and coffee by the sea, swam with three huge sea turtles, enjoyed the beautiful and mysterious underwater creatures (first time to see a beaded sea cucumber), cooled off with burger and fries, mango, kiwi and strawberry milkshakes, swam again right until the first sign of sunset.
Life at its finest.

I want a ticket to Anywhere. Anywhere with you.
Visiting the Bagacay Lighthouse (1904) in Liloan. Trying out the local Halo-Halo and Tinap-anan from Danao. Finally getting my hands on a Sinamay in Carmen after searching high and low (woot!). Enjoying the Binaliw Spring, Bagatayam Falls and our much-needed Borussia coffee stop in Sogod.
Weekends are love. Roadtrips are lifesavers.
