Gifts or otherwise...

We are sending out this invitation In hope you will join a celebration But if a gift is your intention May we take this opportunity to mention We have already got a kettle and toaster crockery, dinner mats and matching coasters So rather than something we’ve already got We would appreciate money for our honeymoon pot But most importantly we request That you come to our wedding as our guest.

Poetry aside, we really will just be happy if you attend. If you are planning on bringing a gift, we really do appreciate the gesture. As most of you know we've been living together for a while, so we have all the basics, but if there's something you believe would suit us then we will be very grateful for the sentiment. Money or gifts aside, we'll be happy to see you!

We know that a lot of you will be travelling quite a way to join us, and we’ll be very happy to see you. To make it a little easier, here you can find some local information about places to stay and local transport.

Travelodge

Lancaster’s Travelodge is located right in the centre of town. Perfect for access and easy to find, but because of the one-way system parking is a little scarce, and you’ll have to pay for any of the car parks in the town centre. However, rooms tend to be cheap and there’s a pub right next door.

The Premier Inn

The Premier Inn is located about a 5-10 minute drive outside of Lancaster, right off Junction 34 of the M6, and because of this has an onsite restaurant and bar. The parking is free and there’s plenty of it. To get the best deals on rooms, book at least 3 months in advance for the special saver rates.

The Holiday Inn

The Holiday Inn is also 5-10 minutes outside of Lancaster, opposite the Premier Inn and less than a minute’s drive off Junction 34 of the M6. Parking is free, but family rooms are limited availability so best to book in advance if you’re travelling with children.

The Sun Hotel and Bar

Well located in a quiet area of the town centre. Not suitable for families and no car park, but very close Lancaster’s Parksafe.

Lastly...

Lancaster isn’t a big city, but the town centre is one giant one-way system: it’s too small for you to get completely lost, but sometimes difficult to get to exactly where you want to go. We recommend you plan your route before you leave the motorway. If you need any more info for your journey, drop us an e-mail.
