SEPTEMBER 23

Nice day Mrs Lambert spent the day with me. I bought a box of Tomatoes $0.85 to can Mrs Weaver came for 2 doz eggs $0.72

SEPTEMBER 22

Windy weather I made 5 glasses tomato jam did the house work got 3 meals dusted. took care of hens sold 1 doz eggs to the Lamberts they spent evening eggs $0.36 Gotmy first pullet egg today 5 months + 6 days old Mrs Woodhull called went up + called on Mrs Liles

SEPTEMBER 21

Very lovely weather. I staid home all day Billy staid with me as Ruth + Darcie took Mrs Casteel to take a test. I canned 13 pints little pepper tomatoes they are fine so sweet + good I ate supper with Ruth + family Mrs Hicock called

SEPTEMBER 20

Wonderful day I ate all my meals at home to day did not leave home all day.

SEPTEMBER 19

Beautiful day We all went to Church then home Intook a nap + rest for the first time for a month had breakfast + dinner with Ruth + family, ate supper by myself then Darcie came over + ask me if I would go with them for a ride I said yes and we went out Dublin canyon to Dublin + back.

SEPTEMBER 18

My Mother's Birthday north wind Ruth us all including Mrs Hicock to San Pablo to get tomatoes + lettuce we got the pepper shaped tomatoes My foot is so sore on the bottom I can hardly walk.

SEPTEMBER 17

A beautiful day Ruth Darcie Billy Mrs Hicock + I went to Oakland took flowers for Willi's cript Mrs H took some for her nitch at colomberriam Darcie got a new suit of clothes dark gray very good looking

SEPTEMBER 16

Very warm day Ruth took me to the Dr today she removed the supporter and packed me, Mrs Weaver came for 4 doz eggs at 36 Mrs Lambert took 1 doz 144 x 36 = $1.80

Mrs Thompson took me to a Luncheon at Mrs Nelson's on Estudillo Ave we had a very nice time after I got home I called on Mrs Liles + Mrs Leek's then home eat my supper then watered the lawn + garden.

SEPTEMBER 14

A beautiful day Ruth took Clara Billy + me to see Mrs Thomas Rev Steven Thomas who used to be our Minister in the Methodist Church 24 years ago she is visiting her Mother Mrs Sharp. I received my 2 Sks Mash + 2 Sks Wheat to day also Shells $15.11 - $5.00 = $10.11 very hot day.

SEPTEMBER 13

Very very warm I cleaned 4 hen houses out this morning and was sure all tired out I just finished and came to the house to rest when Walter and Edna + Children came. Ruth + I were going to the Ware house at Hayward to give my first order for feed so we took Edna Walter came to tear down hen houses he did a wonderful lot of work they had dinner + supper with me had a good visit

SEPTEMBER 12

A very hot day We went to Church then home ate lunch then went an got Clara Harding and went to Mausoleum then to Evergreen Cemetery to put flowers on Clara's Father + Mother's graves then home had dinner just finished the dishes when Mr + Mrs Lambert + Children came spent evening

SEPTEMBER 11

Windy + warm I cleaned the house then went to the basement and worked all day did not even stop to eat lunch Ruth took Sophia to Oakland to shop gone all day. Billy staid with me I am so tired I can hardly live, took a bath now to bed.

SEPTEMBER 10

Warm day cooler evening Mabel + Joe came today Joe worked tearing down the chicken houses Mabel made 3 pies 2 apple + 1 blackberry. Ruth + I spent the afternoon at Clara Hardings, Agnes Anne Pederson + another lady was there She served Cake + Coffee the cake was wonderful + so was the coffee

SEPTEMBER 9

A very hot day Ruth took me to Mr. Allen's store to get groceries then down town to the bakery for bread. Ruth + Darcie took Mrs Casteel over to South San Francisco to see Vilas + Eva they got back at 8:15 at night Billy + I waited to eat but they had eaten overthere I made 6 pints bread + Butter pickles + canned 4 pints Prunes fresh ones

SEPTEMBER 8

Colder today Ruth took me to Oakland today I bought a Teakettle + a Teapot 8 snails $0.40 Mrs Peaders came to tell me Mrs Liles wished me to come to see her today I went she wanted to ask me if I wanted to take a teacher to room + board I said no.

SEPTEMBER 7

Cooler Overcast. I worked in yard all forenoon put fertilizer on lawn dug out weeds in flower beds got all tired out had a sandwich + coffee with fruit then washed what dishes I had used and went + laid down for rest + a nap when Mrs Lambert called.
