I was so scared going into this film, seeing all of the reviews. But I honestly enjoyed it. To be fair, I'm very easily entertained, a film can be pretty avarage and I might love every aspect of it. I personally love Sam, so seeing him in action was fantastic. I just hope this won't be his last solo film. Now it wasn't perfect, the CGI didn't look amazing (I think anyways, everything was kinda blurry 'cause my internet connection wasn't going well). I liked the final fight scene, and the one over the ocean was also very cool. Joaquin is such a sweetheart I love him. And the plot was pretty interesting (as someone who has never seen The Incredible Hulk and was pretty confused at times). Overall, pretty good film, I was a bit bored at times, but I had a good time.

Guess who finally published the first chapter of their fanfiction? That would be I, hello.

Also I decided to completely change the direction the fanfiction will (eventually) go in. At first I wanted to keep the same ending as Season 3, but while writing I got too attached to the characters, and then I decided to go full-on down the Fix-It route. I won't say anything else as not to spoil anything.

It'll be 11 chapters long, and I just posted chapter one for now. It's shorter than what I'm expecting the others to be, but it is what it is. I'd rather have chapters of different lengths and be able to separate things and scenes neatly.

God knows when I'll be able to post chapter two. I'm going in the mountains tomorrow to escape the heat (it's 37 fucking degrees today what the fuck) and I'll be away till the weekend. I should be able to at least get chapter two out before I go on holiday again (and for longer this time). Who knows, maybe if I reach a good writing flow I'll even post chapter three. We'll see.

Anyways, I hope you like this fic (even if, again, it's just chapter one, and nothing much happens).

So about the Good Omens fanfic I was talking about a few posts ago...

Guess who was just supposed to write seven chapters of this fanfic? Mind you I haven't even started writing, I've just been plotting the fic and writing out some scenes before they leave my brain forever. But I guess here we are. Also, because I hate myself apparently, I had the awful idea of using Queen song lyrics not just for the title, but for every chapter. I was on the verge of giving up doing the titles like this, but I also figured out that there's a Queen song for every occasion.

Also I know I said that I haven't actually started writing writing, this is the document with the plot and some of the scenes. Somebody help me.

These are some of the songs that played today while I was writing because I put my main playlist on shuffle because I couldn't be bothered to make a good omens one and I wanted the songs I know already so I didn't want to use another person's. (Also please ignore the open tabs, I swear they're relevant to the fic).

Anyways, when I post the first chapter (maybe if a few days? Don't quote me on this though) I'll make a post here, but who knows when that will be.

Honestly you could throw anything slightly Spider-Man shaped at me and I'd be happy. He's always been my favourite super-hero since I was a child, and watching this show really brought me back. I loved the spin the put on MCU Spider-Man, love all of the fights. Can't wait for season 2 really. I love Peter's friend group, Harry seems a much better friend than Raimi's one, and Nico! I really hope they make her queer next season, because I definetely got a vibe this season. I'm happy they chose to tell a new story instead of doing a series based on MCU Peter, they really had way more freedom to be more creative. I also hope we see more of Daredevil next season. This show made me even more excited for Brand New Day, can't wait.

New goal in life, read everything Alice Oseman ever wrote. No truly, this was amazing. I love seeing more aro and ace rep, it's so so important. While I no longer identify as asexual or demiromantic, like I used to, I hold those communities close and dear to my heart. They were probably the most welcoming I've fondi in a long time. The book also felt so personal lol. As someone who finished their first year of university last month and hasn't kissed anyone, let alone had a relationship, Georgia's story hit so close for me. And this book had some of the best representations of friendship I've seen. Georgia and Rooney's friendhsip especially is so adorable and special. It's so refreshing seeing friendships being valued so much. All in all, great job as usual to Alice Oseman.

I saw this film a couple of days ago, and I keep thinking about it. It really hit close, too close at times. Especially the whole thing about time feeling off and going too fast. I really liked the trans allegory as well, even though it kinda gave me anxiety that I won't be able to truly live how I want to.

At first I thought it was going to be scarier, and I think I would have liked it even more if it were. But I still very much liked it. Also honestly, I'd watch The Pink Opaque, the show sounds so cool.

It's defintely a film that not everyone would like, but I really liked it. I do think that if you can relate to it, it can be really enjoyed.

Wasn't expecting them to be doing a season 2 of Berlin, but I'm so happy they did. I love Money Heist, it's one of my favourite TV shows, and the season 1 of Berlin was so good as well. I even started to like Berlin (I hated him in Money Heist). I liked the focus of this season on the characters' relationship, and the actual heist scenes were also very good. It's just kinda sad seeing Candela and Berlin happy together knowing what happens next. Loved the Professor's cameo, I missed him. Honestly, just a very good season all-around. I'd be happy with a third season, maybe we can see Berlin meeting Palermo, that could be nice. I do think Netflix might do something more with this franchise considering how much money it makes.

Now question how do I recover from this show? Like how do I move on? It took me so long to finish this season because I really didn't want to finish it. Now I just feel like I have a hole in me that I don't know how to fill. I just think this was an incredible series, I love shows with characters who are complex because I love trying to understand their motivations and really seeing how they act and what they'd do. I loved Will, he's such a well-written character. Now did I watch with horror every time they mentioned Dante? Perhaps. Blame the Italian school system. But jokes aside, I love all of the quotes and references they made, even though at times I didn't quite get them. One day I'll rewatch it and try to make more sense of all the metaphors and references they make in it. Just for fun. I think season one might have been my favourite, but I still loved the series as a whole.

Okay so I've got thoughts. I watched the film because I was told Dorian and Basil kiss and I was thrilled. Also I love The Picture of Dorian Gray so much, and I'm happy to watch adaptations of books I like. But I'm also way more critical of them than of other films. I have quite a few problems with the film. I didn't like the sole focus on Dorian's sex life. Dorian, in the novel, is a hedonist, and following the hedonistic way of life is to live a life not following morality, but sensuality, your senses (at least that's what I remember from English class). And it's not just sex. I mean Dorian in the book at one point goes on to have a full on rock collection lol. I don't always hate when adaptations stray from the original, as long as the point of the original is kept. And I don't think this film managed to do that. I also don't like how they made Dorian so innocent at the beginning. I mean yeah he wasn't awful and corrupted like he was at the end, but he was still a rich man from the end of the 1800s, he was always a bit of a piece of shit. Basil also wasn't yearning hard enough. Like where was his obsession with Dorian that prevented him from even showing the painting in public? And the end... What was that? Like they added a full on part that wasn't in the novel, and was pretty useless in my opinion. Like was Emily necessary? I would've preferred to get more Sybill instead. I also didn't like how Henry got involved at the end. And then some scenes were just not... good. I was crying when Basil died in the novel, but in the film, the scene was just not dramatic. Like at all. I don't know if somebody who hasn't read the novel could watch this and like it, but some parts felt just bad. There were some things I liked. The painting rotting was a nice addition (I don't wanna talk about the wheezing). After Basil's death there's a scene that focuses on all of the red accents that Dorian sees, and that remind him of blood, and that was a good one. And the acting wasn't bad, especially Colin Firth (and Ben Barnes). It's just that the bad parts outweighed the good parts so much, because there's just so much I didn't like. I was disappointed most of all I think.

Note to self: listening to the audiobook of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was NOT a good idea. I was so confused all the time. I already have a hard time with audiobooks, and so much stuff was happening all the time in this one I was genuinely just confused and had no idea what was happening half the time. I had some good laughs, and the narrator of the version I listened to was amazing. But the point of the book (I think) is that nothing really makes sense, and it's not really my cup of tea. Maybe one day I'll actually read it, and maybe I'll like it more, but as for now, it wasn't anything too extraordinary, nice at some points, but again, I was very very confused. Like a lot.

Pride Month started so I decided to read the queer books I own! Some of them have been staying on my shelf for awhile, I'm so happy I'm finally reading them. I'm also happy I waited to read Loveless till I was in uni, I'm relating a bit too much to the story, especially since I just finished Year 1. Also I don't know why I thought listening to another audiobook of one of Austen's novels was a good idea, I get so lost in all of that dialogue. But alas, hopefully it won't be too much of a problem.

Review (9/10):

At first I gave it a lower rating (a 8/8.5) but after sitting with the ending for a bit, I finally decided on a higher rating. My main problems do not come from the ending itself, but the overall episode. Since it was just 90 minutes, everything was so rushed, some plot points didn't get the resolution I wanted, or they deserved. But I liked the ending. I'm going into spoilers now, so just a heads-up.

I think the ending is perfect for them, especially for Crowley, and while yes, I would have preferred something a bit happier, it just feels right. I don't feel like Crowley and Aziraphale could have been as happy as I wanted them to be in their universe. They both had so much baggage, and with a possible threat of a new apocalypse, it was just not possible for them to be truly happy together. And even if they had just recreated the old universe, one, I feel like it would have been a tad bit anti-clamactic, and two, Crowley wanted to give true free will and freedom to ALL of humanity, even those that came before. And that's why he was the best angel God ever had. Again, I just wish we had more time to fully flesh everything out. I was thinking I might write a fanfic where we just have more time with the plot and the characters, but where we ultimately get to the same ending. I might post something on here if I ever do.

I can't tell you how much I wished I liked this book more! Obviously I did like it, since I gave it a 7.5 rating, but honestly if it weren't for the ending I would have rated it higher! I'm gonna go into spoiler territory in a bit so just a heads-up (especially if you plan on seeing the film).

I loved Coley with my whole heart. I loved her growing relationship with her father, her realisation of herself and her sexuality, her yearning (no one yearns like a lesbian during her first love lol). She's such a good character, and I wanted to hug her so badly. Sonya on the other hand, I enjoyed how her internalised (and not just internalised tbh) homophobia was shown, even though it broke my heart. Actually I wish they didn't get together at the end. It shocked me when I realised it, but I just didn't think Sonya was ready, and the ending felt really rushed. And yes, at the end Sonya seemed ready to be open with Coley, but I don't think she actually resolved her issues. I think their story would have been better if it was just a summer thing, that helped the both of them to realise they liked girls, but then they went their separate ways understanding their feelings at their own pace, and maybe one day they'd meet again, and - even if they don't get together - they can be friends and acknowledge the importance they both had for one another. But maybe I'm projecting, who knows. Overall, nice book, lovely MC, nice writing actually. Just wish it had ended a bit differently.

This might just be my new favourite film. I loved every second of it. Natalie Portman is amazing, and the visuals were so good. I think it's a realky good insight into how stressful ballet can be, and how trying to be perfect leads to self-destruction. Also love me some good repressed lesbian rep. The final scene was so good, and don't get me started on the Black Swan scene. Cheff's kiss.
