Now question how do I recover from this show? Like how do I move on? It took me so long to finish this season because I really didn't want to finish it. Now I just feel like I have a hole in me that I don't know how to fill. I just think this was an incredible series, I love shows with characters who are complex because I love trying to understand their motivations and really seeing how they act and what they'd do. I loved Will, he's such a well-written character. Now did I watch with horror every time they mentioned Dante? Perhaps. Blame the Italian school system. But jokes aside, I love all of the quotes and references they made, even though at times I didn't quite get them. One day I'll rewatch it and try to make more sense of all the metaphors and references they make in it. Just for fun. I think season one might have been my favourite, but I still loved the series as a whole.

Okay so I've got thoughts. I watched the film because I was told Dorian and Basil kiss and I was thrilled. Also I love The Picture of Dorian Gray so much, and I'm happy to watch adaptations of books I like. But I'm also way more critical of them than of other films. I have quite a few problems with the film. I didn't like the sole focus on Dorian's sex life. Dorian, in the novel, is a hedonist, and following the hedonistic way of life is to live a life not following morality, but sensuality, your senses (at least that's what I remember from English class). And it's not just sex. I mean Dorian in the book at one point goes on to have a full on rock collection lol. I don't always hate when adaptations stray from the original, as long as the point of the original is kept. And I don't think this film managed to do that. I also don't like how they made Dorian so innocent at the beginning. I mean yeah he wasn't awful and corrupted like he was at the end, but he was still a rich man from the end of the 1800s, he was always a bit of a piece of shit. Basil also wasn't yearning hard enough. Like where was his obsession with Dorian that prevented him from even showing the painting in public? And the end... What was that? Like they added a full on part that wasn't in the novel, and was pretty useless in my opinion. Like was Emily necessary? I would've preferred to get more Sybill instead. I also didn't like how Henry got involved at the end. And then some scenes were just not... good. I was crying when Basil died in the novel, but in the film, the scene was just not dramatic. Like at all. I don't know if somebody who hasn't read the novel could watch this and like it, but some parts felt just bad. There were some things I liked. The painting rotting was a nice addition (I don't wanna talk about the wheezing). After Basil's death there's a scene that focuses on all of the red accents that Dorian sees, and that remind him of blood, and that was a good one. And the acting wasn't bad, especially Colin Firth (and Ben Barnes). It's just that the bad parts outweighed the good parts so much, because there's just so much I didn't like. I was disappointed most of all I think.

Note to self: listening to the audiobook of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was NOT a good idea. I was so confused all the time. I already have a hard time with audiobooks, and so much stuff was happening all the time in this one I was genuinely just confused and had no idea what was happening half the time. I had some good laughs, and the narrator of the version I listened to was amazing. But the point of the book (I think) is that nothing really makes sense, and it's not really my cup of tea. Maybe one day I'll actually read it, and maybe I'll like it more, but as for now, it wasn't anything too extraordinary, nice at some points, but again, I was very very confused. Like a lot.

Pride Month started so I decided to read the queer books I own! Some of them have been staying on my shelf for awhile, I'm so happy I'm finally reading them. I'm also happy I waited to read Loveless till I was in uni, I'm relating a bit too much to the story, especially since I just finished Year 1. Also I don't know why I thought listening to another audiobook of one of Austen's novels was a good idea, I get so lost in all of that dialogue. But alas, hopefully it won't be too much of a problem.

Review (9/10):

At first I gave it a lower rating (a 8/8.5) but after sitting with the ending for a bit, I finally decided on a higher rating. My main problems do not come from the ending itself, but the overall episode. Since it was just 90 minutes, everything was so rushed, some plot points didn't get the resolution I wanted, or they deserved. But I liked the ending. I'm going into spoilers now, so just a heads-up.

I think the ending is perfect for them, especially for Crowley, and while yes, I would have preferred something a bit happier, it just feels right. I don't feel like Crowley and Aziraphale could have been as happy as I wanted them to be in their universe. They both had so much baggage, and with a possible threat of a new apocalypse, it was just not possible for them to be truly happy together. And even if they had just recreated the old universe, one, I feel like it would have been a tad bit anti-clamactic, and two, Crowley wanted to give true free will and freedom to ALL of humanity, even those that came before. And that's why he was the best angel God ever had. Again, I just wish we had more time to fully flesh everything out. I was thinking I might write a fanfic where we just have more time with the plot and the characters, but where we ultimately get to the same ending. I might post something on here if I ever do.

I can't tell you how much I wished I liked this book more! Obviously I did like it, since I gave it a 7.5 rating, but honestly if it weren't for the ending I would have rated it higher! I'm gonna go into spoiler territory in a bit so just a heads-up (especially if you plan on seeing the film).

I loved Coley with my whole heart. I loved her growing relationship with her father, her realisation of herself and her sexuality, her yearning (no one yearns like a lesbian during her first love lol). She's such a good character, and I wanted to hug her so badly. Sonya on the other hand, I enjoyed how her internalised (and not just internalised tbh) homophobia was shown, even though it broke my heart. Actually I wish they didn't get together at the end. It shocked me when I realised it, but I just didn't think Sonya was ready, and the ending felt really rushed. And yes, at the end Sonya seemed ready to be open with Coley, but I don't think she actually resolved her issues. I think their story would have been better if it was just a summer thing, that helped the both of them to realise they liked girls, but then they went their separate ways understanding their feelings at their own pace, and maybe one day they'd meet again, and - even if they don't get together - they can be friends and acknowledge the importance they both had for one another. But maybe I'm projecting, who knows. Overall, nice book, lovely MC, nice writing actually. Just wish it had ended a bit differently.

This might just be my new favourite film. I loved every second of it. Natalie Portman is amazing, and the visuals were so good. I think it's a realky good insight into how stressful ballet can be, and how trying to be perfect leads to self-destruction. Also love me some good repressed lesbian rep. The final scene was so good, and don't get me started on the Black Swan scene. Cheff's kiss.

I was slightly disappointed in this season, I do like the other two seasons way more, but I still had fun. I loved some episodes more than others, and the finale could have been better (I feel like it would have been the perfect spot to put Loki in). I always like seeing the scenarios they show, and I loved seeing some of the characters we hadn't see in a while (Kate my beloved). Overall, good enough season, though I think season 2 remains my favourite.

Honestly, less characters died than I thought. Yey!! I'm so sad it's over, how am I supposed to fill the void now? In all seriousness, I loved this saga. I might have liked it more than the Chronicles, mainly because I liked the nuance in this one. I like it when characters have done bad things, but still work towards becoming better. I liked how grief was handled as well, and the love story was also really nice. I'm not the biggest fan of the romantasy genre, but I do like a bit of romance in my high fantasy novels, especially if it's well done. Love the world, can't wait to read the Legends (when I buy them lol), but I know I won't be read to let the Emerged World go.

Little me would have LOVED this film. Venom was ny favourite villain in Spider-Man, and I still love him lol. I really hope he shows up in Tom Holland's films. I often like the last film of a trilogy the best, and this time was no exception. I loved sassy Peter, he was so fun to watch. I liked seeing more of MJ and Peter as well, and then Harry! Oof I love him. I'm sad it's over, but what a way to finish the trilogy.

Can't wait for season 6 to come out now.

I remember now why child me really liked Doc Ock as a villain lol. I think I might like this film slightly less than the first one, but it was still so good. Seeing Peter struggling breaks my heart so much (I'm not ready for Brand New Day), but it's also what makes him so interesting to me. And the scene I put as a gif? Amazing, one of the best scenes I've seen, 10/10. Also crazy for Peter for telling MJ that it's too dangerous to stay with him when she gets kidnapped regardless lol.

Despite the fact that Spider-Man has always been my favourite superhero, I never watched the Tobey Maguire trilogy, nor the Andrew Garfield duology. But guess who's changing it now? It's me, I am. I really liked this film, Willem Defoe is absolutely amazing. Some CGI was... questionable (like what was the thought process with those skeletons?) but the film did come out in 2002, so it's okay. This film also made me realise how sad I am that we never got a "spider-man origins" film for Tom Holland's spider-man. Also it's so funny to me that Marvel really can't decide how old Aunt May is lol. Overall, such a good film.

I'm loving this saga so much, I can't wait to see where this goes next. And we got to see Sennar again!! Oh I missed him. I liked this one slightly less than the first one, the pacing felt a bit off to me, but I still loved it. I love the multiple POVs approach, love seeing what all of the characters think, even the villains. I can't remember if the Chronicles also had that, it's been a while since I read those books. Really hyped to see where the story goes now, I love all of the characters, and I'm so scared of who will die (I have a feeling quite a few characters will indeed die).

I both feel like this challenge is flying by, but I'm not even half-way through. Now that I'm mostly home I'm reading more than I'm listening to audiobooks, so most of the time I forget what was happening in the audiobook when I start listening again, which is definitely not ideal. I should have thought that through better. But also, Alice in Wonderland is a book I definetely do not recommend to listen to, because I'm getting so lost half the time I have no idea what's happening. But I'm liking it so far, fortunately.

The book was just sitting in my bookshelf staring at me, so I finally decided to read it. I missed reading fantasy so much, and I missed especially Licia Troisi's novels. After all, another one of her sagas is one of my favourite of all times. Surprising enough, I remember pretty well what happened in The Chronicles of the Emerged World, despite reading it in like middle school lol. But I didn't realise how much I missed this world. It was so good to be back. I loved the characters, and I found the intrigue very interesting, at points I felt like I couldn't put the book down 'cause I wanted to know what'd happen next.
