Actually, race is an unofficial term that we made up to differentiate ethnic groups. In that sense, it could be said that race is ethnicity. The official taxonomic ranking system is as follows: Domain; Kingdom; Phylum; Class; Order; Family; Genus; and Species. Beyond that, there aren’t any scientific terms because science knows that ethnicity does not present significant physical differences. When you say human is race and homo sapiens is species, you’re mixing rocks with water - they don’t blend. Human is an English word, while homo sapiens is Latin. The fact that we are of the human race is not part of our scientific classification, that’s just a propaganda phrase. Taxonomically, we are of the species Homo sapiens.
