I was gonna sketch something else for the first chapter of my fic, but the idea kinda changed along the way. Ended up drawing something for my new AU with Izuku and Tokoyami that I came up with earlier. I really like how it turned out, even though it totally surprised me
I did a sketch for the fifth chapter of my fic. Fumikage is having a flashback about his past on his way to the subway, and those pendants in his hand? He ends up giving them to Izuku later. They had a pretty fun day~
And me? I broke my arm rewriting the text a bunch of times at work. I’m just hopeless with fonts and all that design stuff…
We've been having webinars at work for the second day in a row, and since I had nothing else to do and was pretty exhausted, I ended up doodling some silly sketches with a black pen I borrowed from a colleague...
And today, while I was sketching, I got this idea for a new AU with Izuku and Tokoyami
Quick rundown on the AU: On his first day at school, Fumikage sees some unknown guy 'flying' by the classroom window – but nobody else notices him. Not their new teacher, not the other classmates, not even Bakugou, who this ghost seems to be following. The guy's body is skinny and wrapped in bandages, his clothes and even parts of his body are dissolving into the air, and his eyes reflect nothing but emptiness and exhaustion. But the moment he realizes someone can actually see him, something alive sparks in his eyes. Hope.
After talking to him on the way home from the academy, Fumikage learns that the guy doesn't remember his name, why he's following Bakugou, or anything about his past. Spoiler: he always notices Bakugou because, deep down, he craves revenge – no matter how much he denies it. Revenge for Bakugou pushing him to suicide. Sometimes he just vanishes, and when he comes back, he looks even more 'dead' and empty, which worries both Fumikage and Dark Shadow.
During the second internship, a six-year-old girl suddenly grabs Tsukuyomi's legs and, noticing his face, begs him to 'help her and save her brother.' During the yakuza hideout raid, Kai Chisaki takes both a teenage boy and a girl away from the heroes. Both have gray, dirty, tangled hair, are wrapped in bandages, and are terrified. Fumikage recognizes the teenager as that ghost, but the guy barely recognizes him back – though he asks for something… Meanwhile, Chisaki orders 'Izuku' to take Eri and hide from the heroes, but Izuku is holding something behind his back and refuses. In retaliation for his resistance, Kai grabs him by the hair, asking what he thinks he's doing, then squeezes his neck and – while Eri screams in horror – rips his head off as a loud gunshot echoes through the complex.
In the last second of his life, Izuku fired a bullet that destroys quirks right at Chisaki, taking away his trump card. Stripping him of his power over Eri. Even if it cost him his own life."
Eri cries and activates her quirk, bringing Izuku back to his usual state. At the same time, heroes – Sir Nighteye and Eraserhead – run up to them, with Eraserhead erasing her quirk. But they can't get close to the girl because Izuku is holding her behind him, calming her down after the horror she's been through, and won't let anyone touch 'his sister.'
Later, Tokoyami finds out that Izuku had been held by the yakuza for almost four years, with Kai repeatedly putting him into a coma or bringing him back after finding his broken body on the asphalt near a high-rise building. A couple of years ago, Eri was placed with Izuku, and he used to tell her about his 'dreams' of a bird-guy who would become a hero and promised to save them both.
So, here are my concepts for the hero costume that's gonna be used in the fanfic! First off, I was thinking of adding nine different pairs of ears to the costume - kinda as a nod to the hero name and some stuff that's gonna happen later.
As for the costume itself, I'm still having some issues with it, but the overall concept is gonna stay pretty much the same, I guess...
I had some other designs from about a month ago, but they look really bad and I don't like them at all
A draft sketch including extra details of the scars Izuku got in the past. I created it for my own reference based on my fanfiction scenario to keep track of the details, though some things might still change. I’m not sure yet... (No obscenity, it's just a sketch! Ha-ha)
🎉Celebrating the completion of the fifth chapter of my fanfiction! Yay! I need a little break now - I’ve just hit the 150,000-word mark and I hope to fully realize my idea!
🐦⬛️I should train more to draw Tokoyami. I practice as I come across amusing photos on Pinterest. Perhaps they are seven or eight years old? Little birdies💔
Their round feathers are utterly charming - it makes me crying Q~Q
