Okey, I'm loving and living for this headcanons so, here is more of our favorite doctor, Jack Abbott’s routine before starting his night shift at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
Thanks so much for the support xoxo <3.

• He sleeps with heavy blackout curtains drawn all afternoon to trick his brain into thinking it’s nighttime.
• He sets an aggressive series of alarms for 5:30 PM and downs a glass of cold water the second he sits up.
• He stretches after waking up while sitting on the edge of his bed then grabs his prosthetic leg, puts it on, checking to see if any screws or other parts need adjusting.
• He brews a strong, double-shot espresso to sip while reviewing any texts from Robby or the day shift.
• He packs a heavy, homemade dinner in a tupperware box with a little sticky note with lots of words of encouragement to eat and read them while having a little of free time.
• He clips a reliable mini penlight and extra shears onto his scrub top alongside his ID badge.
• He double checks the Pittsburgh weather report to judge whether he'll need an extra jacket for the frigid night air on the walk in.
• He drives to the hospital watching the sun go down over the city skyline, mentally shifting into high alert mode.
• He parks in the exact same dimly lit corner of the parking lot every night so he doesn't have to hunt for his car at dawn.
• He ties his running shoes tight and double knots them in the breakroom before stepping out onto the floor.
• He pauses right at the double doors of the ER, takes one deep breath, and steps into the chaos with a big smile.
