A flavorful Paleo twist on the classic orange chicken dish, using wholesome ingredients without sacrificing taste.
Ingredients: 1 lb chicken breast, diced. 2 tbsp coconut oil. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup orange juice. 2 tbsp coconut aminos. 1 tbsp honey. 1 tsp orange zest. 1/4 tsp ginger, grated. 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes. Salt and pepper, to taste. Sesame seeds, for garnish. Green onions, sliced, for garnish.
Instructions: In a pan, heat the coconut oil over medium-high heat. It will take about 5 minutes of cooking after adding the diced chicken breast until it is browned on all sides. Cut up some garlic and add it. Cook for one more minute. Mix orange juice, honey, orange zest, ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a small bowl using a whisk. Add the sauce to the chicken in the pan and mix it all together. Turn down the heat to medium-low, and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce gets thick and covers the chicken. Put it on the plate hot and top it with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Have fun!
