“Hey, housemates have to look out for each other,” Anny tipped her head, before lifting a hand to catch the imaginary kiss. “You sure know how the way to a girl’s heart,” she said, smiling. “Lead the way.”

“If I want to watch cute kittens I don’t know…I’ll just make my best friend let her cat have babies. Which actually sounds like the cutest idea so I might propose that to her.” Cassie found herself in the middle of dancing people and began laughing a little hysterically at Anny’s moves. “I think that would be friendship crime. So fine, I’ll bring my bad moves to this too.”
“You’ll have to get me an invite over if you get that to happen. I gave you the idea, after all.” Anny laughed delightedly when Cassie joined her, tried to move so she didn’t jostle her friend or the people surrounding. “You’re truly the best friend a girl could ask for. Absolutely a giver,” she said while she twirled.

“Oh, that’s brilliant,” Anny pulled out her phone. “I’ll have to find that. It’d really be the icing on the cake if he called to rage at me, only to be met with ‘i am groot’. It’s only too bad I won’t be there to witness it.”

“I could never forget Miss Olsen. I’d take you with me, you could be my on-screen nurse or something.” he suggested. “Okay, well it would provide relief. Fine, I guess since I look hot in a suit, maybe I can screw my opposing counsel during a recess.” he said, partially joking but partially serious. Drew let out a loud laugh. “I love that. It’s the end goal. Death. Where everyone will end up.”
“That could be interesting. You’d have to have some kind of disclaimer that I’ve got no real medical qualifications, but I’m sure if I wore something tight enough no one would notice,” she grinned, leaning forwards. “Oh please, you have to. At least once. I’ll never be able to do that, so I’d at least like to know someone who has.” Anny shrugged, “It’s a little morbid, but a little optimistic. Nothing really matters, so don’t sweat the small stuff. Maybe I’ll put it on a t-shirt.”

“I’d be those doctors that people make famous or something.” Drew stated. He laughed at her enactment. “I mean, I’ve got a non-medical way to deal with that rash.” he smirked. “Yes, exactly. The mistakes you haven’t made should be the ones you’re the most worried about.”
“Promise you won’t forget me when you’ve got your own talk show.” Anny shook her head. “This is why you’re not going to med school; that is not how you treat a rash. If it’s any consolation, I’m sure you’ll make a hot lawyer too,” she chuckled. “Honestly, I like to think long term. Yes, I’m probably gonna fuck up tomorrow, and the next day and the next but big picture? I’m dead.” She held up her hands, like she’d presented some huge revelation.

“I’d make a pretty hot doctor though — maybe I’ll work on my science skills with the nerd we convince to build for us.” he said with a laugh. He nodded in agreement. “No point in stressing over nonsense when you might as well stress over the future instead.” he joked.
“You definitely would. I can see it now - ‘Oh, Dr. Thompson,’” she feigned a low, breathy voice, “’I’ve got a rash in the most embarrassing place.’” Laughing, she said, “You’ll have to get them to tutor you. The opportunity’s too good to pass up.” At his response she snapped her fingers. “See, that’s what people just don’t get. No mistakes are more concerning than the ones you still haven’t made.”

“God only knows,” Anny shook her head. “I’ve half a mind to go back in and give him my number just to get my hands on his phone. See if he keeps harassing girls after I tell his mother how he treats women.”

“I’m just going to say it’s a vote of confidence just to keep you happy,” Cassie replied, with a cheeky grin on her face. “I’m the sensible one, remember? So sensible that I only go on Facebook on Christmas day and sometimes New Year’s day. And that’s only to wish distant relatives a good day. I don’t think I’d even know how to upload a video to it.” Cassie laughed before wandering back in through the door.
“You’re too sweet,” Anny over enunciated, her voice stickily saccharine. “Hell Cassie, you say sensible, I say Amish. Social media can be a bore, but it’s where they keep all the cute kitten videos.” She followed Cassie inside, keeping towards the edge of the crowd until they’d worked their way decently in. When they had, she crept ahead, spun around and said, “Okay, come on. You’re going to let me do this all by myself?”

“I am sure he would appreciate a strongly worded letter. It could possibly be the only way to make him listen,” Liam responded with a small amount of humour in his tone. “It could be rather dangerous for us to work when we’re hungover so I suppose I won’t be drinking anytime soon. Looks like you got the best pick when choosing careers.”
“They’ve never worked in my experience, but ‘tis the season for miracles,” Anny rolled her eyes and smiled, her voice laden with sarcasm. “I guess I would like to avoid a pissy counselor at all costs. Absolutely sucks for you, having to be responsible and all. Really, I recommend everyone just be a rockstar.”

“Of course! Come right in!” Amelia insisted - her excitement to please making her a little too peppy. “I’m sorry if it’s a bit of a mess. I managed to throw today’s mail all over when I chased after this little one.” Making her way inside, she made sure her guest was through the threshold before closing the front door and allowing Luna to jump down. “Can I get you anything else while you’re in? Maybe a snack or drink?” She was now leading the way to the kitchen, knowing the bulletin board was just on the other side of the wall.
“I’m sure I’ll hardly notice if it is a mess,” Anny said. She was a terror when it came to cleaning up after herself, was only just beginning to learn now that she was living with strangers. “If it’s really bad, you could just blame it on the cat.” Following Amelia inside, she surveyed the room, which turned out to look much less like her own home then she’d imagined. “Oh no thank you,” she shook her head at the offer. “You’re already doing me enough of a favor as it is.” Walking slowly, in case the girl stopped, she asked, “Have you lived in the place long?”

Sebastian laughed, nodding his head. “I guess that’s all that matters. Yeah, it’s not that exciting.” He grinned, noting the look in her eyes. “Oh, I wouldn’t blame you too much if you did. I can be a dick sometimes, although usually I try not to be.”
“Well, it’ll excite me for a night, and god knows that’s all the entertainment I need.” Anny gasped lowly. “You? A dick? Never.” After laughing, she added, “Must I repeat your words back to you? As long as you’re trying, it’s the thought that counts.”

“Nope, no good at science hence the law school over med school thing. We could find a science-y person though. They could build the time machine.” he pointed out. “Yeah, well, it’s in the past and sometimes the past is best to stay in the past.”
“Yeah, I forgot about that. Between the two of us, I’m sure we could convince some nerd type to build us a Delorean.” To his latter comment, she nodded, laughing, “I completely agree. If it happened more than an hour ago, then fuck it.”

“Understood,” she said with a nod. Getting acquainted with a new city was enough of a hassle before you threw the responsibility of another living creature on top of it - Amelia could agree with that. However, she was among the crazies who had actually been quick to adopt when first moving to the city. But that was mainly because she was in need of friend when she had yet to meet anyone. “Right, the card!” she stated before she was off towards her front door. “Let me go grab that for you. I’ll only be a moment…but you’re also welcome to come in.”
“I’m glad,” Anny flashed her a smile - and she was glad. She would’ve hated to disappoint this lovely girl with a lovely cat. Stifling a laugh at her urgency, Anny said, “I would like to see the place, if that’s really an invitation. I’m not positive, but I think we have the same landlord,” she added, looking the house up and down.

“Don’t speak too soon - I’m sure somebody will fill you in on the gory details.” Anny narrowed her eyes, before saying, “Dare I ask about the placement of the Santa hat?”

“For sure - the last thing I need is guilt about being unable to keep a dog in my shoe box of a home. Netflix is commercial free. Completely a winning scenario.”
