So, I’m exceptionally tumblr-lazy. So let’s play catch-up of the last year ft. current selfie. Broken ankle is healed and, apart from being a jerk sometimes, is pretty unnoticeable. Got left with a gnarly scar, as you can see in this photo. But it hasn’t stopped me from going back to derby. I’ve been living in Toowoomba for nearly 5 months now. I moved down in May to take a job with the same company I’ve been with for nearly 2 years now, and to get the fuck away from Rockhampton. I’ve met some great people, and some shitty ones too. Between work, derby and having a social life, I have no free time at all. I skate with the league down here and have rediscovered my love for derby after my break. I play for two teams (Range Renegades/ladies and Quad Squad/co-ed) and train 3 times a week now. I’ve spent half my weekends in the last couple of months travelling around with it all. Biggest trips have been to Gladstone with the Renegades a few weeks ago, and Armidale with the Squad last week. Next up is Brisbane at the start of October for Tropicarnage Cup. It’s definitely a change of pace having so much derby compared to Rocky, but I will say I’m going to be happy to have a break from it all at the end of the year. Otherwise, I just work and go to the pub when I can. Rum is my new discovered elixir of life and helps me keep my sanity. I live in a house with just me and my cat, and am still constantly torn between wanting to be single and wanting to fall in love again. Just can't win either way.
