some of the many thoughts I had about post war harry
he sleeps on one side of the bed , the furthest from the door
and if he’s alone , or deep in sleep , will curl up in a tight position
this comes from the time with the dursleys, sleeping in a cramped cupboard
he cooks for fun , and because ginny almost burnt down the kitchen
and he doesn’t trust his kids near the knives
he goes to Hogwarts every year to speak to the kids
he spends a good few years as Head of Law Enforcement
retires to teach at Hogwarts , because that’s always home
kreacher served their family for years after the war , harry buried him just as he did dobby
man bun harry man bun harry man bun harry !!
when ron leaves the auror department , it takes him a long time to find a new partner
literally talking years because he has trust issues , who wouldn’t
he scares off all those assigned to him , not necessarily on purpose
he gets over his rivalry with draco , and teases him with astoria
overprotective godfather !!
he won’t let any press or paparazzi near his godson
the same with his kiddies
he is so proud of his family shut up tcc, he adores them all
definitely grows a beard at some point , not a moustache though
probably wrote the book ‘ how to not die ; don’t die ’ under a pseudonym
don’t care what anyone says he’s great with children
but not adults , especially ministry colleagues , they annoy him
accidentally started a rumour him and ron were dating during their time as aurors
it’s because they show each other affection quite randomly
‘I love you babe’ in passing , purely platonically
didn’t even occur to them that people thought they were an item
until rita wrote and article they were having an affair
and they laughed their asses off
a couple of years post war he tried to knit lil teddy a weasley jumper himself
yeah it didn’t work , but teddy kept it , with its wonky ‘T’ and random holes
and harry still wonders if he made his parents proud even as he’s turning forty
