I really hate to do this, but 2019 has been a horrible year, and it doesn’t look like things are getting better. The year started with my dad having a stroke, which resulted in him losing his job. 

He was the only breadwinner in the house, and even he was getting help just to go to work (carpooling with someone else), doing a job that nobody else here is able to do. 

Now we have no income and, with the government shutdown, no gov’t aid either. (No SSI, no food stamps, nothing. He couldn’t even get unemployment.) Please note that I am working towards a means of supporting my family and myself, but as everyone is aware, there are no guarantees. 

We don’t know when, or if, we’ll be getting food stamps. At the time this is written, we only have $11 left to buy food with, for an indefinite period of time.
