i felt something today, in my chest my heart, finally decided today was the day, that I would break free of the spell, i'd cast on myself the spell, that kept me up all nights wondering, where he was if he was thinking about me where we went wrong the questions, becoming like a noose the answers i will never get, searching for the nearest tree but today, i finally ran out of, breath to give, to the air around me that no longer coexists, with him. - i love you but i must love me, more.
i loved watching him speak, i loved reading his writing, i fell in love with him, one poem, one sentence, one word at a time. until, i received a piece of his poetic mind in my mailbox, finally a piece for me? that was the day, his words taught me that the heart is an organ and a blade at the same time. that was the day, with his words, i struggled to find my next breath, that was the day, his words were the cause of that ache in my chest, the sour taste in my mouth, the disappointment in my mind. that was the day, i realised, words don't mean shit if your actions don't match.
angry, me.
the pain, heartache the questions, unanswered have left me with a wall to protect me from the next boy who decides it's ok to use words like blades.

he says it was easier because of the distance, he says the distance made it easier to stay, what that means? is that none of this was real, it was convenient for him. easier for him to let go and come as he pleased.
when your words & actions don’t match.
he tears them into pieces, every one. vicious cycle, unaware. yet a part of me thanks him, for tearing me apart. it was in the pieces that i found my peace in me.
