We now have official designs for my TMNT iteration! :D I wanted them to be distinctly different from each other in both head shape and color, and I thought it would be hilarious if Leo, who is the technical oldest (Donnie being only 1 week younger than him) was the shortest of them :3

Hawksbill Sea Turtle
Oldest of the four, but shortest
Leader by virtue of being the oldest
Golden child of both their parents
Believes he's wiser than his brothers
He actually just delegates all the chores onto his brothers
"I'm the oldest so you do as I say"
Shoves most of his responsibilities onto Donnie and Mikey
works extremely hard to be good at ninjutsu
is a huge ass nerd when it comes to space
actually a huge help for reassurance for Donnie
Donatello, 16
Leatherback Sea Turtle
Tallest of them due to being the biggest turtle
chronic pain in joints due to his size
back problems due to his size
wears a back brace most of the time
OCD
the "Responsible one"
The actual "Mom" and has actually taken care of Mikey and Raph most of his life
fixes everything in the apartment
gets stuck babysitting Raph all the time because Leo refuses to
At one point hated having to look after Raph but turns into a "Menace duo" type situation where Donnie enables Raph
Donnie and Mikey have a silent pack to fuck with Leo at any given moment when able
In the "Hates our older brother Leo" club with Mikey (it's just a joke)

Green Sea Turtle
The Middle Child tm
Taller than Leo and likes to shove it in Leo's face
Likes to think about surfing back in Hawaii before they moved to New York for safety
Tends to be ignored by Splinter because Raph is a handful and Leo is a tryhard
Burned out Gifted kid syndrome, extremely talented in ninjutsu but stops trying harder once Leo gains the spotlight as leader
Leo shoves all the gross chores onto him because he doesn't want to do them
Smokes pot with Donnie, got Donnie to smoke because he's a stick in the mud a lot of the time
typically the one with the bad ideas that get him, Donnie, and Raph in trouble
Raphael, 13
Loggerhead Sea Turtle
Second tallest, but youngest of the brothers
must be supervised 24/7 or he WILL chew through the couch or break something
looks up to Donnie because he hangs around him a lot
has a ton of monster trucks and toy cars
uses tires as chew toys
has had the luxury of never having to do any of the chores besides cleaning his own room
Has a pet chicken named Cluckeronni (Ronni for short)
Look at this, Raph has some lore and I think I might have uncovered it *spoilers ahead!*
Look at Raph, looking completely unfazed, it's like he's been to the surface before
Then look at him again, looking unimpressed at the surface, so maybe he has been to the surface before, and what if people taunted or insulted him?
That would explain his hate for being taunted or insulted, and he was being insulted by someone, and started to death threat him, so what if he killed a person while they were taunting him?
Then, there's the taunting again, where Leo said to Raph, "You try to act all tough, but inside you're just a scared little baby" Then with Mikey saying, "Is the little baby gonna cry?" Then Raph saying, "I'm not gonna cry!" and at some point he quits doing it and says, "You won't get it" And with him sounding somewhat ashamed, it adds more context
And Raph tries so hard to keep his brothers safe so they don't end up like him, but then
Splinter "dies" and it doesn't turn out well
And he almost hurt Mikey, possibly leaning into his hate for most humans, Shredder being at the top of the list
Then for him to see it happen again, but this time, right in front of him
