Whoever coined the phrase 'a man's got to play the hand that was dealt him' was most certainly one piss poor bluffer.

Welcome to the Dark House by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Met this wonderful author of this wonderful book today. He was a pleasure to see and really lovely to talk to. I convinced my friend to read this book and halfway through she bought every other book of his, so he thanked me by calling me “salesperson extraordinaire!”. Definitely a favourite.

So I've just finished 'Making Faces' by Amy Harmon. My throat hurts from making small noises throughout the chapters that have me on edge. A light spoiler would be there is quite a bit of death and mourning and disability and deformity. Just a warning. The books beginning wasn't amazing, in fact I found it very hard to get through. But it definitely picks up and then the plot almost has too much going on by the end, but regardless, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Solid B+, Flimsy A-. Very good. Romance. Hatred. Gotta love the mixture. -Nicole
The Princess Bride
A long while ago I had a teacher who really liked 'The Princess Bride', though for some reason he preferred the movie, so when I purchased the book I thought I would agree. I was wrong, though I'll admit, there were some annoying bits. For instance, the author told the story as though TPB was his favorite book. He claimed his father read it to him, but avoided reading the books boring bits, so basically the author was pretending to write a remastered version of TPB, when in reality 'S. Morganstern', the supposed author of TPB, is a work of fiction. The first thirty or so pages was a Complete drag, as he went on explaining things for too long, and then proceeded to cut in the middle of the story to say just how genius the sword play is. However I still very much enjoyed the classic tale. It's been a favorite of mine sense I was small, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes fairy tales mixed with action.
I am currently reading the classic tale ‘The Princess Bride’ by William Goldman! Ladies and Gentlemen, would you look at that cover? She’s a beaut! I had to search everywhere for this edition, and I’m so pleased with it. Wait a day or so and I’ll post a review!! Nicole xx

Hello everyone! Hopefully you all see this. I know we were planning on getting everything up and running by now but I haven't been able to contact Nicole enough to actually discuss it because her phone has been having issues. I promise as soon as we sort it all out, you will be informed and everything will, hopefully, be running smoothly. I see some of you have been posting, which is good, but I must remind you to tag #(your name)s reading #(the book's name) and #(the author's name) separately, this goes for quotes and all that as well. This is so it shows up when you click on a link on the 'Book Club' page. If you want me to explain how to do that in better detail, I have no issues with you contacting me over my ask or my email. Sorry for any inconvenience. ~Amanda
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; You have a right to be here and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

just started reading The Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan.
It is a wonderful sci-fi book for the young adult readers.

Just started reading Flame by Amy Kathleen Ryan, the third book in the Sky Chasers trilogy. I enjoy these books so I’m excited to see what happens, but I’m not incredibly attached to this story and I’m okay that it’s ending. ~Kate
