Do you think we will find out the Captain’s name first or will he come out first?

I think it would a little bit funny if we officially in cannon know he’s gay before we find out his name.

Semi-seriously my Captain firstname theory is Richard because it was a decently popular name at the time and it comes with many “Dick” joke opportunities.

Also it makes his friendship with Lady Button funnier because it would be Fanny Button and Captain Dick.

When the Captain comes out (because hopefully he will eventually- he was so close!) Alison tracks him down an old slightly battered but well love pride flag. It’s a little frayed and faded but it’s been on display for a long time and it’s been cared for with a few repairs here and there. She could of just got him a brand new one but this felt more appropriate- old a little bit worn but loved. After an explanation of what it is and what it means, she puts it up for him on the wall in his bedroom and he smiles and thanks her.

Later we see him doing his little bounce and a nod towards the flag with a small proud smile when he leaves his room and there’s a little pencil pot or cup with an inclusive pride flag and a gay man pride flag on a cabinet near by the big pride flag.

Something that always gets me about redding weady in the fact Captain was going to sacrifice himself to save his family friends. He was ready to die to protect them - I mean yeah it’s kind of played as a joke with him just standing there after the explosion but still he was “caught up in the moment” and was prepared to give his life to save everyone.

Do you think maybe it wasn’t just because he wanted to save them but also because he wouldn’t mind being ‘killed’ which I suppose would probably suck him off move him on. Because all the ghosts, save possibly Robin, seem to want to move on- who wouldn’t? You’ve been trapped there for years with nothing to do and nowhere to go; being sucked off moved on could seem like a nice thing.

I mean, when Pat thought he was going to move on he was really excited and happy, though that might just be from seeing his family. The Captain had obviously been thinking about his life and what if the idea of moving on didn’t seem too bad?

Could that be another motivator for him doing that?

Yeah that would totally make sense!

He probably spent a lot of time thinking about his life when it was brought up again. Maybe he came to terms with how things happened with Havers (with the scene of him leaving) or possibly how he died and was ready to be sucked off move on.

Also we don’t know much about his family or background in general but surly he has people who have died and he wants to see again too maybe not in the same way as Pat but still.

So yeah he could just been ready to be ‘killed’ to move on.

The ghosts reading fanfic headcanons:

Fanny would say she’s disgusted but keeps reading anyway

Thomas would like the romance but judge everyone’s use of song lyrics or poems because how dare they use Lord Byron’s verse!

Captain would start reading and notify everyone when he got to an inappropriate part by saying Good Lord every other line and I think he would quitely smile to himself while reading gay coffee shop AUs

Julian would read the most explicit stuff he could find and see if he had done any of it before but also he would secretly read found family AUs and if asked he says there just soppy and why would he read that

Pat would also be fond of found family and he would enjoy reading stories that other people created regardless of spelling or punctuation errors

Kitty would get quite upset at angst due to how she was treated while she was alive but would enjoy friends to lovers and fluff

Mary can’t read that well so probably wouldn’t enjoy trying to read them but enjoys listening to kitty read them

Robin wouldn’t care much he would prefer to play chess than read

Humphrey would have some trouble reading them he can’t scroll just being a head most of the time

Benefit of watching ghosts:

It’s a great show that has brought me happiness and made me laugh when I was feeling awful

Drawback of watching ghosts:

My first thought when anything is slightly suggestive is now Good Lord!
