If you have fallen for your guy best friend, and you're scared to tell him..  Don't be. Just tell him because if you don't, you're going to keep living life with the 'What if'.. If you tell him and he feels the same way then great, and if you tell him and he doesn't feel the same way.. Move on. Don't get hung up on him. If he makes  things awkward after knowing how you feel, then that's his problem. Best friends are supposed to be there for each other forever, no matter what is said or done. If he really is your best friend then you telling him that you have feelings for him shouldn't change anything. If you don't feel comfortable with telling him then don't tell him until you are comfortable with telling him. Love works in funny ways. Sometimes you fall in love with a person at the right time, or sometimes it the wrong time but it always works out like it's supposed to in the end. 

I told my best friend that I liked him, and he told me the same thing, and we even kissed but now.. We barely talk, but I still know that if I really need him he's going to be there for me, and he knows that when he needs me I'm just a text or phone call away. We waited four years before we told each other how we felt.. and It was just bad timing. He left for basic for the National Guard a few months after the kiss, and we wrote a few letters back and forth between each other but after he got back.. things were different. We grew up, and I started my senior year in high school, got a job and I just got super busy and he had already graduated but he's busy too.. I've seen him a couple times since he got back, but I know that even though we don't talk every day like we did when we first met.. I know when I really need him, he's going to be there and no matter what, He's always going to be my best guy friend. He's been there for me so much the past four years, I don't think I could ever replace him. I'm going to college next year, and he's in college this year.. and There's always going to be that 'What if we said something to each other earlier' or 'What if we actually did date?' but I'll have to live with those what if's because that's how it's playing out right now. Maybe one day in the future we will date, but right now our lives are taking us on different paths and that's okay with me. 

So don't worry, because if you're really meant to be with your best friend, then you'll end up with him one day. Don't think about it too much. Just let life take you where you're supposed to go, and meet the people you're supposed to meet. You'll find the love of your life one day, and if it's your best friend.. Then I'm glad, but it could also not be. Just live your life the way you want, and make sure the life you're living is one that you're happy with. Also, don't let what ifs control your life and don't live your life with regrets.
