Hii omgg I'm an incoming freshman from wvc campus!(wvc '28) Just wanted to ask tips to become DL ;)))
hiiiiii! congrats on getting in!! schoolâs starting soon so here are a few of my (hopefully useful) tips!
- stay organised! the first few weeks of school is when youâll get important things like syllabi for your classes, class lists, schedules, and other stuff so i strongly advise that you prepare yourself for that hehe
- read the syllabi and take note of the lessons and exam dates (this one is medyo obvious but I promise this is a lifesaver)
- do your filipino and english readings in advance if possible so you donât get overloaded with readings along with studying
- donât be afraid of your teachers! attend consultations if you can,, it really helps to give yourself a refresher for the lesson (it does mean you have to hear the lecture again though HSJWJS)
- take note of everything, especially in filipino, socsci, and integsci (your future self will thank you). back in g7 it was a lifesaver to rewrite notes on an index card before the exam just to help retain info!!
- study your lessons even without any scheduled quizzes or exams,, matindi talaga sa grades kapag may surprise quiz haha
- group projects and performances count a lot. take them seriously i promise theyâre easy ways to get good grades
- make friends! the pisay load gets a lot easier to bear kapag may kakampi đ also it makes group projects much more fun!
MOST IMPORTANTLY: have fun! i know adjusting will be difficult because everything is so new but i promise youâre going to have a crazy fun new experience <3
bonus: prepare 1x1 and 2x2 pictures sa first week just in case,, the teachers usually ask for these and youâll need them for a bunch of forms
