Table Top Transition
I am tired of this! Or am I just tired?
I solved a boss fight on tactician mode in bg3 by using explosive barrels.
I may have made a bit of a mess in here.
I will say that I slightly question Balthazar’s so-called brilliance when he doesn’t notice the new guy and his traumatized backup dancers carefully placing a dozen or so hundred pound barrels of explosive powder and oil around him and shuffling through his backpack for a fire arrow.
I’ve seen some people call this method cheating but I’ve been collecting explosive barrels since act 1 for the express purpose of exploding that necromancer into next Tuesday when I finally meet him so personally I’d call it planning ahead.

My dating sim TTRPG is now FREE!
I've decided to make some of my older roleplaying games free, starting with my dating game GxB. Download it here! GxB (Girl x Boy) is a dating game set at the fictional Atrashi highschool (the same location as my other games Panty Explosion and Classroom Deathmatch). The main character Momoko wants to fall in love, but she isn't sure how! She'll go on three first dates with her classmates to see if she can find love! GxB is a light romance game where one player takes on the role of the main character, and the others play her suitors, each taking her on a date that they design. The other two suitors provide obstacles and narration during the date. After the main character has gone on dates with all 3 suitors, she'll choose the one she's interested in!
- For 4 players - Super rules light (made for people who have never tried a TTRPG) - Playtime is about 60-120 minutes - Rules are presented as a 4 page comic - Characters are pre-made, but can be easily modified - All you need is 1 deck of playing cards - I also made an all male version of the game called BxB. Note: I'm currently working on a new version of GxB. I originally wrote this game waaaay back in 2006. At the time having one of the game's 3 love interests be another girl was fairly controversial, believe it or not! Things have changed so much! I'm planning to relaunch the game with some extra scenarios and a BUNCH of new main characters and suitors. It will be way gayer, I promise.
Check out this absolutely lovely review of Moon Rings and Necromancer Heretic!
I highly recommend checking out the Cozy RPG Reviews channel. The style is extremely chill and beautifully written. I'm honored to have been considered for review.
TTRPG about fighting off demons in an industrial wasteland
MGSA: Magical Girls Smoke Alone is a TTRPG where you play as arcane sailor scouts defending your dilapidated industrial hometown from legions of demonic gentrification.
Smoke cigarettes without a filter, admire the local junkyard, help office workers procrastinate in their cubical, get the CEO of Hell fired!
Realigning so I remember to check it out. Looks super cool.
What are wisps and sprites? Are they as diverse as monsters or are they mostly homogeneous?
Also, do some form from a monster’s magic, like a monster with a living shadow?
we'll learn more about these incidental creatures later, but the basic gist is:
"sprite" is a catch-all term for the gods and spirits of the Middle Wood. they range from little fairy-things all the way up to the Phosphor itself. sprites are intelligent in the same way that monsters and humans are intelligent; the main difference is that, rather than being born from flesh, sprites are embodiments of different aspects of nature. a sprite may be associated with a particular tree or brook, for example. it can sometimes be hard to tell a sprite from a sprite-shaped monster, though as soon as they open their mouth the difference usually becomes clear. sprites are Weird and Temperamental. negotiating with them is a full-time job, and pissing them off has capital-C Consequences.
"wisps", also called "primordial sprites", are mindless embodiments that appear and disappear in response to movements in the psychosphere. will-o'-wisps are an example: they spawn in the river and disappear quickly. some people speculate that wisps can eventually "graduate" into sprites if they stick around long enough; how long they do stick around is up to the local psychosphere.
now you're asking, "what is the psychosphere?" uh, it's sort of just a fancy way of saying "the vibe". here's an example:
a house burns down and isn't rebuilt. over the years, the local children spread rumors about the ruins being haunted. wisps appear in response to the rumors. a group of kids spot the wisps hovering in the ruins one night, and now it's not just a rumor: everyone knows that the old house is haunted. so the wisps never go away. decades pass. now the burned-out lot has a patron sprite. their hobbies include rattling chains and emitting ghastly shrieks in the dead of night. you can offer them gifts of freshly-burned oak cinders in exchange for piping the fuck down. nobody can build on that lot anymore. it's fine. that's just nature's balance.
