Official announcement
Dani Carvajal’s contract has come to an end, closing one of the most iconic chapters in Real Madrid’s history.
A madridista since childhood, he was the canterano who stood beside Di Stefano to place the symbolic first brick of Valdebebas, a moment that captured exactly what he would become: the foundation of a golden era.
Promoted to Castilla in 2010, he helped lead the team to promotion to Segunda Division in the 2011/12 season. After a standout year at Bayer Leverkusen, he returned home, stronger, sharper, and ready to claim the right‑back position for more than a decade.
From that moment on, he gave everything. Across 450 matches, he scored 14 goals, delivered 65 assists, and left behind countless decisive performances, tackles, runs, and finals that shaped Real Madrid’s modern identity.
His legacy is written in trophies:
6 Champions League titles
4 La Liga titles
5 UEFA Super Cups
5 Club World Cups
2 Copa del Rey titles
4 Supercopa de Espana titles
He also equaled Gento’s legendary Champions League record, alongside Luka Modric, Nacho Fernandez and Toni Kroos. And with Spain, he added the EURO 2024 and the Nations League 2023 to his remarkable career.
Thank you, Dani, for so many years in our team and for 13 unforgettable seasons in the first team. You will be remembered as one of the greatest right backs the world has ever seen.
